"The... the cure?" I ask in surprise.

"I made it long ago. It can save them all." He says.

He reaches out.

"I... I can't take it." I shake my head.

"Please. I am too old and too weak. My time on this earth is nearly up." He says.

"But... I can't stop that monster." I say.

"You can and you must or else the infection will spread." He says.

I move my hand. He places it into my hand.

"You must fix both of our long haunting mistakes." He says.

I nod.

"It is okay to be scared." He smiles at me.

"I am terrified." I say.

"Then you will do it justice." He smiles.

"Have... does it work?" I ask.

"You must trust it does." He sits down.

A smile forms on my face. A cure! The captain... I can save him. I watched him change right in front of us. He's corrupted. He's falling in the blackness. I have to save him. I have to save them all. That creature. That demon must die. However,... I cannot look at it. I saw its eyes glowing.

"Take this." He hands me a blindfold.

"Thank you." I say knowing what it is for. 

"Good luck and ride swiftly. You must end its game." He says.
