"Are you alright?" Tuh asks.

"You carry death with you." Amaka says.

I look down.

"I see the eye. I see his mark." She hits me with her stick. 

I wince slightly.

"It rots in you." She says.

"I have seen the rising of darkness. It's unearthly." I admit.

"Then you know what they are. You have seen the dark one." She says.

Tuh and the others gasp.

"Yes..." I breathe out.

I grip my chest. I saw the bloodshed. My entire squad was killed. But the Captain... oh please have mercy on his soul. She starts circling me. Have I brought doom already? I need to go back. I have to get back and warn the Chancelor of what I have seen. 

"I should go." I say.

"Go? Go where?" Tuh asks.

"I have to get back to the Chancelor. He needs to know of the swamp. We must destroy it." I say.

"Hey, hey, hey. You're okay. You're okay." She takes my hand.

"You don't know how dangerous our world is." I push off of her.

"Please, stay. You need to heal. We are safe here." Tuh says.

I look at her.

"But-" I start.

"It'll be fine." Tuh says.
