PRINCE RENJUN ENDING!
ENDING: Let me love u
3RD PERSONS VIEW。
jaeyoung walked into the big doors of the heflorescence palace art room, eyes brightening at the sight of renjun. "injun-ie!" she cooed, running up to the prince as he sat in between dozens of canvases, some were filled, some were blank.
he had been sitting in the art room for what seemed like days; trying to perfect the current painting he had been working on since yesterday.
"injae, it's midnight, you should be asleep." the prince said nonchalantly, dipping the tip of his paint brush into the golden mixed paint he had prepared.
she pouted, it had been a few months since they got together. yes, renjun had finally decided to confess his love for the girl. at first, he was totally against it – he didn't want to ruin the 'friendly' relationship they already had, but with the help of his brothers (who even insisted of planning a wedding) he managed to earn the girl's answer on becoming his girlfriend.
the whole preparation and main confession was cute, thanks to his brothers who were really supportive. lucas had faked a scenario, calling jaeyoung who was in valfied at early in the morning, telling her that she had to stop by because they had to bake a cake for prince. the boys were completely confused why lucas had to create such a scenario but ended up going with it when jaeyoung agreed to go – after all, prince is her one and only prince.
when she arrived at heflorescence, the twins escorted her to the gazebo, not even responding to any of her questions which made her more curious than she already was.
upon nearing the gazebo, at the middle stood no other than huang renjun himself. dressed in a white long sleeve polo, a black blazer draped over his shoulders, a hand tucked in one pocket as he stood nervously. usually, renjun was blunt and straightforward, but right now he couldn't even look at her straight in the eye.
jaeyoung pressed her lips together, now wondering what were these brothers up to again. she slowly approached the boy, clasping her hands together, "what's up?"
"the ceiling."
she deadpanned at his answer but laughed anyways, "seriously?"
"what's going on? um... i thought lucas wanted to bake a cake for prince?"
renjun rubbed his nape, "actually...he didn't call you for that."
she stood there perplexed, tilting her head slightly to side, "huh...? then why?"
"injae... i have something to tell you..."
"i'm listening."
"i- i... um..." he gulped, "-prince is a good dog isn't he?"
"prince- wait what?" she raised an eyebrow before chuckling, "injun, are you okay?"
his cheeks tinting bright red as he cursed himself mentally for randomly blurting out words at the wrong time, he could already hear his brothers clowning and laughing at him right now behind the bushes and he wishes to beat them up one by one.
"i- um- shit this is so difficult!" he whined and turned away, covering his face instantly in embarrassment.
a voice from the bushes that they easily recognized belonged to chenle, "JUST SAY IT!"
jaeyoung pursed her lips together to stifle a laugh, narrowing eyes at the boy before getting closer to him, placing a hand on his shoulder making him flinch lightly. "injun?"
renjun took a deep breath. it's now or never. he grabbed her hands and mustered all of the courage to look at her directly, locking eye contact.
the girl suddenly grew nervous, the soft feeling of linking hands with renjun made her feel butterflies in her stomach. renjun gave her hands a gentle squish before speaking, "don't you think injun and injae is a match made in heaven?"
his statement made the girl blush furiously, pupils dilated as she looked away, not being able to face him in shock. "w-what?"
"i mean... after all... you're an angel sent down from heaven."
"stop it!" jaeyoung whined, feeling her heart beat race just by his words.
renjun's eyes widened, slightly panicking, "w-wait, was that too much? oh my hera- i'm so embarassed- wait–"
jaeyoung giggled, "i never knew you could be a softie."
he flinched, giving her a side glare, "oh shut up." he mumbled before wrapping an arm around her shoulder, "but seriously... i like you."
"i like you too, injun."
and that's when the boys came out from the bushes, some where dying from laughter, some congratulated them, while some were busy clowning renjun's cheesy lines (mainly donghyuck).
that was a quick brief of how it all happened, and they were glad that it did. the couple would take turns, there would be times jaeyoung would be the one visiting and times that renjun was the one to visit. they almost did everything together.
from eating downtown in local shops, buying clothes and jewelry, baking, arts and crafts, they really spent every minute like it was the last. of course, there were times they would be fighting – heated arguments or what, but they would always find a way around to handle it, i guess all of the arguments they had before they became friends quite helped.
this week, jaeyoung was the one to visit and her plan was to stay for the whole week, however, it seemed like renjun was pretty busy.
it had been two days and all she got was a few interactions which made her really sad. jaeyoung kept pouting, staring at the other canvas with a slight glare, "stop stealing my boyfriend."
renjun glanced at her before chuckling, "they're not stealing me, injae."
"yes they are!"
renjun rolled his eyes playfully, gesturing her to come closer. she did as told and stood beside him, getting a more clear vision of the painting. she gasped, "wait- isn't that..."
the painting renjun was currently doing was a picture of them, he was copying the picture they took when they drew on each other's faces. "mhm, the first paint session we had together." he said before pinching his cheeks with his free hand. "let me finish this first and then you can have me."
jaeyoung nodded, watching him as he did the last few details of the painting before finally settling the paint brush down. "tada!" he grinned, presenting her the now color filled canvas.
"wah, it's so beautiful, injun!" she breathed out, staring at his art. her eyes trailed on each of his painting before landing on the art itself – renjun.
the boy noticed her stare and smirked, "how may times do i have to tell you that i'm not a statue to stare at."
"but you're definitely a work of art." she murmured, looking away, cheeks dusted with a pinkish hue.
renjun laughed, his sweet voice sending tingles as he reached out to her, "come here."
a smile crept up her face, falling into the arms of the prince, resting her head on his chest easily. she peered over his shoulder to look at the paintings, "well, thank you for giving me back my boyfriend."
renjun sniggered, his chest vibrating as he did. he poked her cheek making her look at him in confusion. he gave her a cute little nose scrunch before leaning down to kiss her.
jaeyoung kissed back, wrapping her arms around his neck to pull him closer. as renjun was about to snake his hands on her waist, the door bursts open with prince running into the art room.
"oh shit- prince!" the sound of chenle's panicked voice made renjun slightly annoyed.
"yah! you destroyed the moment!"
chenle gasped, pointing at them, "w-what moment? oh my... were you two... kissing?"
"i-"
before renjun could even tell him off the boy had already dashed out yelling, "oh i'm gonna tell mom!"
"and our brothers!" chenle added making renjun scoff and jaeyoung laugh.
"why hello prince." jaeyoung said and was about to crouch down when renjun securely laced an arm around her waist, not wanting to let go. she looked back at him with a questioning look.
renjun averted his gaze, cheeks lightly pink, "...i can't let prince steal you away..."
"aww is my injun-ie jealous of prince?"
renjun rolled his eyes, leaning closer to her to the point just one move closer and they would already kiss. "shut up and let me love you."
