3RD PERSONS VIEW

"your majesty."

"how was your trip to your father's shop, minseok?"

"we met the lady there."

lady misun froze for a bit before smiling softly, looking at them from her seat, "how is she?"

"she seemed to have bought a book to read." joshua uttered, "about princess haera and the village girl."

"any information about her?" lady misun questioned.

"apparently, lady jaeyoung has been working for mrs kang since her childhood. she's adopted by mrs kang."

"adopted?" lady misun hums, "what orphanage?"

"lady jaeyoung wasn't from an orphanage. we searched and talked with the orphanages in town, no one had a single file about her."

lady misun tilts her head, her forehead creasing, "that's odd. how about the school?"

"the school says that lady jaeyoung is an average student at school. they say she's often found with jung miyeon."

"ahhh, the jung miyeon." lady misun nods slowly. "min jaeyoung... are there any min's around heflorescence?"

"i believe there are two families. we'll talk to them tomorrow."

lady misun sighed, "her date of birth?"

"december 21, 2001."

lady misun choked on her drink as she coughed violently, the maids rushing towards her for aid.

joshua and minseok stared in horror, "queen misun! are you okay?"

lady misun panted and nodded, "are you sure that's her birthdate?" she questioned, a horrified look plastered on his face.

the two looked at each other before nodding, "yes—"

"that's the day after the accident..."

"you've been in deep thought lately." donghyuck jokes as he entered jaehyun's room with ten.

jaehyun glances at them and stood up, "what are you doing here?" he questioned, clearing his throat.

ten shrugs and took a seat on jaehyun's bed, "we just want to hang out, what's wrong?"

jaehyun squints his eyes at them, placing both hands on the sides of his waist, "don't fool me, what are you really doing here?"

ten and donghyuck looked at each other before nodding, facing jaehyun at the same time as they exclaimed, "we heard something!"

jaehyun flinched at their loud voice and winced, touching his ear, "and i think i won't be able to hear anything anymore."

donghyuck flopped on the huge bed, "do you know something about the grand ball?"

jaehyun hums, "a little bit, why?"

"you've always been so close with father," donghyuck points out, "do you know what he's planning for? or at least, the queen perhaps?"

jaehyun scrunches his nose, "huh? not really. father just wants a more tightened security this time, for lady misun... i have no idea, why?"

ten pursed his lips, "i passed lady misun's study today and i heard minseok and joshua's voice in there. it sounded like they were reporting something, like a person."

"you have a track of like all the bad people in the district right?"

jaehyun laughed a bit, "i'm not a knight or anything, i'm just–"

"father's apprentice." ten cuts him off, "come on! you should probably know at least something."

jaehyung shakes his head, "i know nothing, seriously. maybe taeyong?"

donghyuck freezes, "never. i'm scared of him for now."

ten scoffed, "why?"

"he's been changing again." donghyuck reasons.

ten raised a brow and ridiculed, "i bet everyone is, except for me and youngho, that is."

the prince narrows his eyes at his brothers, "what are you on to?"

jaehyun rubs his nape slowly, "nothing. what are you even talking about?"

"then who's that milady everyone is shocked about?"

the two froze. donghyuck huffed, crossing his arms, "probably just lucas' milady. he always says that."

ten rolls his eyes, "like i would believe that."

jaehyun sighs, "let's not fight, okay?"

donghyuck grunted, "why can't you just move on, hyung? it's not like she actually cared about your background. she never cared about each of us." he stands up and walks towards the door, eyeing ten, "she doesn't deserve you. she didn't even understand you situation." the young one said before leaving jaehyun's room.

jaehyun groaned and facepalmed, "that idiot." he utters and shot a look a ten.

ten was in the brink of tears as he looked down. "that was sad."

"te—"

ten stood up, "it's alright, jaehyun. i'll be fine." he smiled before walking out, tears in his eyes as he clenched his fists.

the prince made his way to his room, where he found lucas. "xuxi?" ten raised a brow.

lucas cleared his throat, "jaehyun-hyung called me..."

ten gritted his teeth as he fell onto the ground, "i never wanted this."

"hyung..."

"yukhei, i never asked to become a prince."

lucas frowned, "hyung... i know you're still blaming yourself for what happened–"

"but i am the reason!" ten cuts him off, "i was supposed to die not my family!"

"they sacrificed me and gave me away to the moon dynasty." ten shuts his eyes closed, the tears trickling down his cheeks.

"i have no home anymore. my family... they're dead."

lucas swallowed the lump in his throat, feeling uneasy. he had the same story with ten. the three of them were orphans.

yuta, lucas, and ten.

lady jiahui was a friendly woman and always helped people who are in need. she was in business with a few of her friends out of heraphany.

those friends of hers trusted her with their sons. the heirs to their own kingdom.

the three princes suffered huge losses and were taken away from their own home. they got adopted by a different royal family, were trained and taught to believe different.

they were given a new family.

"i'm a prince from a different place, i'm not supposed to be here. i was supposed to be dead with my family!" ten bursted out making the younger flinch.

"hyung... i understand... we are the same, aren't we?" lucas said softly and walked closer to the crying prince.

lucas crouched down and patted his brother's back softly, "we have a new family now, a new home."

"why didn't she understand that, then?"

lucas furrows his brows, "you should stop thinking about mina and what she cares. you're trapping yourself in the past."

ten stifled a laugh, wiping his tears away, "i just can't believe she would say she loves me and then ends up threatening my family."

"i can't lose my family again."

lucas nodded slowly, "we're all afraid it would happen again."

"but we have to be strong right? we can do this, especially if we're all together." lucas told him, "let go of the past... she's not worth it."

ten hummed, "maybe it is time to let go..." he sighed and reached for the necklace, slowly taking it off.

"it was a warm love with a cold ending." ten muttered and store the necklace away.

"indeed it was." lucas agreed shortly.

the door opens slowly and they cranes their heads towards the person who just came in.

"are you two okay now?" yuta tilts his head.

ten grins, "i guess so..."

yuta let out a relieved sigh and walked towards them, "i kinda got scared to walk in, i was afraid you'd lash out on me again."

ten laughed, "i won't. thanks to lucas." he glanced at the younger, who gave him a cheeky grin.

"we should visit our mother soon, by the way, like before the grand ball since she won't be able to come." yuta suggested.

the two others nodded, "it's been awhile since we last saw her, too."

"wouldn't she be proud to know we've moved on!" lucas exclaimed and latched his arms around their shoulders, shocking them.

"she would be really happy." yuta chuckled as they planned their visit.

ten watched as his brothers talked in front of him. he thought about his old family.

"oi! tenth prince of wanderemere." ten was taken aback at yuta's words, staring at him with wide eyes.

yuta smirked, "sounds good right, lucas?"

lucas nodded, "that was your title before, wasn't it?"

ten scoffed, "you shouldn't go around saying that. i'm not the tenth prince of wanderemere anymore. i'm—"

"ten, a prince of heflorescence."

ten pursed his lips, "i am ten... a prince of heflorescence."

"you are and you'll always be! we're family, the eighteen princes of heflorescence! now stop daydreaming and help us plan." lucas said before dragging ten onto the bed.

sooO basically lady jiahui is the fourth wife of king daehyun. lady jiahui was entrusted with yuta, lucas, and ten as she was told to give them better lives than in their hometown.

their hometown was a different place btw, which suffered from war and like their families gave them to lady jiahui for protection.

so they aren't like related to the king at all but they have a royal blood, does that makes sense?

hope it does Σ('⌓◉')
