i'm usually sorry whatever's going to happen... buT yEah no.

i'm definitely not sorry for what's about to happen Σ( ̄。 ̄)

3RD PERSONS VIEW

"yah! hyung! where are you going?" mark questioned as taeyong stopped walking towards the cars and was now turning his way back.

"i left my book at the balcony!" taeyong yelled back.

minseok was about to stop him, "prince taeyo—"

"don't worry, i can manage." taeyong cuts him off and started running away and back into the school.

meanwhile, a girl stood there by the empty hallway as she confronted the infamous yoon jihye.

jihye was talking bad about her again.

"you're parent's must've hated you! that's why they left you." jaeyoung's heart broke at jihye's words.

"look at you! you're nothing."

"you're helpless. you will never meet your family again."

"you're such a disgrace to mrs. kang!"

"can't you just disappear? that's probably what your family thought about you!"

"i'm still not over with what happened, don't you forget that, min jaeyoung!" jihye yelled and pushed the girl back, letting her fall on her butt against the corridor floor.

"i'm sorry—"

"sorry doesn't fix anything! you ruined my outfit!"

"you could just wash it– you're rich anyways–"

jihye bitterly laughed, "rich? yeah i'm filthy rich, and you're envious you're not?"

"no. i'm glad i'm not."

taeyong was getting lost the more he wandered the empty halls of the school, however, what made him stop was when he heard a loud noise. he flinched, realizing what the sound was. it sounded like a hard slap.

now he heard a girl talking. he felt his fists clench as he started eavesdropping on the conversation.

"you're fucking glad you're not!? what's some lame excuse is that?" he heard the same voice yell.

"i'm glad i'm not rich, i'm happy i'm not." he suddenly heard another voice speak, "money and power makes you do awful things just to make them higher."

"i don't want to have a lot of money and have a high status in this society, especially if that means turning into someone like you." the other voice spoke and taeyong felt his stomach churning.

he felt this weird feeling inside of him as he listened to the other girl speak up. she wasn't using violence to stop her enemy, she was using her voice to make her realize something.

but that only angered her enemy, which is why we shouldn't always be nice.

another slap was heard, "why you fucking bit—"

"stop that." taeyong had enough and finally had the courage to step out of the corner, walking in casually into the hallway.

jihye felt her body freeze as she lifted her head up and met eyes with the famous prince taeyong.

jaeyoung had no idea why jihye froze. she took this as a sign that it was probably a teacher who saw her, but she was certainly wrong.

jaeyoung clutched the book she found at the balcony as she stood up, dusting her clothes.

jihye's blood went cold as taeyong started walking forward until he was behind jaeyoung. taeyong glared at jihye, "i recognize you. you're the daughter of that mountain clan leader."

jihye was shaking as she nodded, bowing down her head, "i-i'm sorry."

"what was that?" taeyong raised a brow, "didn't you say something like... sorry doesn't fix anything?" he repeated.

"you hurt a person, ms. yoon."

"your sorry doesn't heal whatever you did to that person, unless that person is forgiving." taeyong spat.

"get away from her. in this school, you're both just students, who cares if you're rich or a daughter of a mountain clan leader, you came here to study, not to hurt somebody."

jihye nodded quickly and bowed again, "y-yes. i'm so sorry."

"leave, before i call the director of this school."

jihye ran as fast as she could, crying her eyes out as she had just been scolded by the prince of heflorescence.

"s-seongsaengnim—"

"i'm not a teacher."

jaeyoung flinched and turned around, gawking at the person behind her before bowing. "y-your high—"

"stop." he sighed and pulled her up to face him.

"you seem like you're too nice." he said as he studied her facial features, noticing her expression. "you cried?"

"does she always do this?" he questions softly.

jaeyoung shook her head, "only when she has the chance to."

taeyong gritted his teeth, "i should've reported her." he noticed how one of jaeyoung's cheek was red from the impact of jihye's hand.

"did you tell your parent's about this?" and with that question, tears started falling from her eyes and taeyong knew he hit a nerve.

"oh... i'm so sorry... i-i didn't know, i'm sorry."

"shh, don't cry..." taeyong panicked and reached out to gently rub her back.

he didn't know why he was even doing this. he didn't want to get involved with anyone from outside the palace, especially a girl. but he felt bad, like he couldn't stand her getting hurt. it was just so wrong.

soon her sobbing stopped and she wiped her tears away, "t-thank you."

taeyong raised a brow, "huh?"

"thank you for stopping jihye."

taeyong's eyes softened and scoffed, looking away, "i only did what was right."

"still, thank you, prince..." she looks up, not really knowing who he was.

"what's your name?"

taeyong was shocked, "you don't know me?"

jaeyoung felt embarrassed, "n-no... i actually don't know much about the royal family..." she confessed and taeyong couldn't suppress his laugh.

the girl was baffled after hearing taeyong laugh at her, "a-are you laughing at me?!"

taeyong nodded, "definitely! you're unbelievable."

"you seriously don't care about the rich at all."

jaeyoung scrunches her nose, "well... it's not like they are that important anyways."

"you're telling me, that my family, the royal family, isn't important?" taeyong stifles his laughs.

jaeyoung nodded, "i guess to the district is is, and to the other people, but come on, the royal family is like any other family."

taeyong was impressed and crossed his arms over his chest, "i'll give you a situation, you have to pick between two people, one is someone who is rich and could buy you anything; while the other person is the opposite, he doesn't have a high status, he doesn't have a high pay and couldn't buy you what you want, yet you love him anyway, who could you pic?"

jaeyoung chuckled at taeyong's situation, knowing her answer as soon as he was finished talking. "i'll pick the one who isn't rich."

taeyong's face faltered, "and why?"

"because i love him and if i truly did, i'll love him no matter who he is and what he has."

taeyong frowned and felt his heart clenching, "but he can't give you anything."

"yeah, so? he can give me love. love is something money can't buy."

taeyong chuckled bitterly, "i'm glad you know that."

jaeyoung hummed, "not a lot of girls my age understand that, actually."

"what are you doing here, anyways?" jaeyoung questioned.

"i came to get my favorite book... i left it at the balcony–"

"oh, you mean this?" she cuts him off, handing him over the book she had in her grasp.

taeyong's went wide as the nervous feeling on losing the book got replaced by a relieved one. "yes! thank you!" he smiled wide and grabbed the book from her hands.

"i found while we were cleaning up, you read that, too?"

he nods, "oh, and you shouldn't cut off a prince's words."

jaeyoung scoffed and laughed at his statement, "let's be real, you don't like being a prince."

taeyong's face fell and he snapped a look towards jaeyoung, "how'd you know?"

"i just guessed, but why don't you?"

taeyoung huffed, "that's something private, okay? what's your name anyways."

"min jaeyoung."

"okay, jaeyoung, i have another question for you?"

"what?"

"why don't you know my name? or even care about the royal family?"

"i told you, you're just normal people to me, i bet you don't even like being treated the way you are treated." that sentence hit something inside taeyong. he knew deeply she was right, yet he couldn't say that. why? she was a girl, he terribly despises girls.

"see?" jaeyoung gestured to his expression. the two stared at each other as silence engulfed the atmosphere. taeyong was confused on why jaeyoung acted like this. he was for sure that every single girl acted like mina, or so he thought. taeyong looked deeply into jaeyoung's eyes, trying to find something in them. it was a habit him and his brothers got whenever speaking to each other. it was to know if they were looking for something.

taeyong perplexed seeing nothing in her eyes but sadness.

the silence between them was deafening and jaeyoung knew she had to break it somehow. "that's actually my favorite book too, you know..." she confessed.

taeyong snapped out of his trance and looked down at the book in his grasp, "really?"

jaeyoung grinned, "yeah, isn't it a good book?"

taeyong nodded, "absolutely." careful, he watched how her eyes smiled, like nothing was wrong with her.

he felt sad for her. he never felt sad for a girl before, unless it was his mother or mina. he gulped the lump in his throat and faked a smile, "i have to go now, lady jaeyoung."

jaeyoung nodded, "i wish you have a safe trip, prince...?"

taeyong chuckled, "that's for you to find out."

jaeyoung's mouth went wide, "hey—"

"pay attention to me during history class, will you? so then, you could call me." taeyong said.

jaeyoung pressed her lips together, taken aback by what he said, "but, i don't even have interest in you or your family—"

he cuts her off again, "exactly. now you will, cause you've done a bad decision on making me interested in you."

jaeyoung gulped and stepped back from him. taeyong smirked at her before turning around and walking away.

as he turned to the left, he was met with his mother and he flinched upon seeing her. "m-mother?" he stuttered as she began walking beside him.

"how long have you been waiting there?" he questioned her nervously.

"what do you mean, taeyong? i just got here." lady misun said softly and looked at his grasp, "you got your book?"

taeyong nodded, "yes."

lady misun smiled, "good."

but i guess it's not only the book that you lost. seems like your attention has been left with that girl now. she thought with a happy smile as she let taeyong pass her so she was walking far behind him.

the two reached the parking lot and separated ways as lady misun entered her own car she came with.

"joshua?" she called for the royal guard who sat at the driver's seat.

"your majesty?"

"i want to know more about someone from this school, could you gather information for me?"

joshua nodded and looked at the rear-view mirror, meeting eyes with the queen. "who's this unlucky person, queen misun?"

lady misun chuckled softly, "unlucky? consider this a lucky person, joshua."

joshua perplexed, "my apologies."

"her name is min jaeyoung."
