Preparing
Rob's P.O.V.
I stared at him as he lay on the floor. The letters folded and grasped tightly by his fingers.
Holding them together like an elastic. Opening my mouth I couldn't find the words so I quickly closed my mouth.
Continuing to watch him mope around and mourn in silence. Both of us no idea what to say or how to break the depressing silence.
A cough escaping his lips Lachlan was the first to spoke up.
"Can I visit Vikk?" Lachlan questioned his voice quiet I felt my eyes grow but I nodded.
"Yeah, yeah we can go see Vikk. Are you sure though?" I questioned earning a small nod from him as tears shined his eyes.
The sun making his eyes glisten with tears he turned his head downwards. Tears rolled off of his face.
Leaving glistening trail marks as they slowly made their way down his tired looking face.
"I'm sure." Lachlan spoke up his voice cracking as soon as I spoke up. Knowing I was pushing it I questioned just once more.
"He won't be awake Lachlan, you know that right?" I questioned earning a hesitant nod from Lachlan.
His breath scratchy he took a shaky breath. Lachlan's voice quavered as he spoke.
"I know.....I love him Rob, I want to go and see him." Lachlan spoke up. Breaking eye contact with the floor he locked his eyes onto me.
Lachlan's eyelids were swollen and puffy from crying. There was huge amounts of grey and purple under his eyes almost as if they were bruises.
Lachlan's face was ashen and blotchy. As if he hasn't eaten in a while. (Which he hasn't).
The shirt he was wearing was clinging onto him showing the ribs through his skin.
Lachlan's finger nails were chipped and white as if he has been beating them up or scratching them on something.
"I understand Lachlan." I nodded understandingly. A forced smile grew onto his lips before he shifted his body so he was staring out of the
window. A single tear rolling down the side of his cheek. Splashing onto the wooden floor below him.
The letters in his hand now on the floor I felt my heart drop as I saw what was on one of the papers.
A drawn picture of a heart with wings was on an old, white paper. Preston and I's
name wrote in the two sides of the heart as an arrow pierced through the middle of it.
Tears blurred my vision as I stared at the picture. The longer I looked at it, the more my limbs felt like led.
Using all of my concentration I pried my eyes off of the picture turning it to a wall.
What happened to us...
