Astrid's Pov

The last thing I remember was being knocked out by that girl. When I fell my vision was blurry but I could see her taking Hiccup. I tried to get up but I soon felt dizzy and weak. I saw purple dust on my arms and legs. My vision became even worse,it was blurry and dim. I felt my body collide with the dirty ground. As my eyelids become heavier by the second. I black out...

I felt someone kick me on my side. I lift my eyelids open to see what was going on, and I was greeted by a familiar face.   

"Wake up blondie!" 

"Huh? Wha-what happened?" I asked sitting up.

"I don't know but I found you guys here lying on the ground and sound asleep"

"who are you" I said pushing myself up from the ground.

"Seriously!? You already forgot, typical viking. It's me Emma" She said sounding not very impressed.

"Ohh uhh, right. Where's hiccup?" I asked

"WHAT!!? I thought you guys knew. He wasn't here when I found you guys" Emma yelled waking up the others.

"What is going on? Emma?" I looked over and saw Heather waking up.

"Heather do you know what happened? Cause I'm worried about Hiccup"  Emma asked helping Heather get up.

"The last thing I remember was a hooded girl knocking out Hiccup and Astrid, then taking Hiccup and then I felt really sleepy. She must've thrown sleeping dust at us cause I was out cold almost instantly" Heather explained

"Well where are the dragons? Did she take them too?" Emma asked

"No they went ahead of us before we got attacked. They are probably helping out the other vikings and Camille and Camilla" Heather said

"Well let's wake up the others and go" I said

Meanwhile.....

Hiccup's pov

While I was looking for a way out of this underground cell I had an idea. I grabbed a rock nearby and started sharpening it with my knife that I always had hidden. I finally got the rock to the sharpness I wanted and started chipping at the wall. I couldn't use the knife because it was ready to break even before I used it, so it wasn't strong enough to chip anything.  

As I started chipping away at the wall, I heard footsteps coming closer. I immediately stop and throw the rock nearby to make sure they don't see it. I could not let them know that I was trying to escape because they would put me on high surveillance.

"It's time" I looked over my shoulder and saw the same girl who kidnapped me and locked me in this dungeon with a couple of other hooded people next to her.

"Time for what?" I asked curiously with and angry face.

"Time for your trial" She answered tightening her grip on her knife.

"what trial?" I asked annoying her

"The trial that determines if your life is worth sparing. Which I pretty sure you are not. You will fight Magnus the Soul Crusher. I'm pretty sure you are familiar with him" She said unlocking the cell.

"here" She said throwing my Inferno at me, then pushing me out of the cell and tying my hands together with a rope. Then used the rope to pull me.

After a few minutes, we entered the Throne room. I saw Morgana in her throne, Magnus the Soul Crusher, staring at me with his war face and gripping his sword while cracking his knuckles.

Narrator's pov

They say when Magnus was 14 years old he killed his tribe's Chief and family to take the village for himself. Magnus's entire family mysteriously disappeared during a family trip, weird that he was the only one to survive though.

When he turned 15 his village named him the new Chief after he finished his training. By the time he was 20 his entire village was gone, everyone was dead. Magnus had made a deal  with the Truberus tribe that if they let him be their Chief then he will lead them to victory by taking down every one of their enemies.

Unfortunately Magnus's people betrayed him by telling the other tribes what was happening. So Magnus decided to punish all of them by sentencing them death. He sent all kids under 16 to an island that brainwashes them into thinking that all tribes except the Truberus which is the tribe they got transferred into are evil. That they should eliminate all other tribes. But fortunately for us Magnus was stopped by Freya herself when she dragged Magnus underground and his army was taken out with him. 

15 years later there was a HUGE earthquake that split an island that was 4 times bigger than Dragons Edge in two. And after that many islands started disappearing literally! They all just disappeared into thin air. Many thought that it was sorcery, but it was certainly from Magnus.  He somehow found a way to get into the Dark Realm and break Morgana free for her help to finish what he started and to bring back his people from the dead. But there was a price if Morgana was gonna help him. Morgana needed Hiccup Haddock to suffer before his destined demised. 

So everything that has happened to Hiccup Haddock was all set up by Morgana. From being shot down by Berkians to fighting Magnus to save himself. Morgana had planned everything, now was the time for Hiccup's life to end. IF Magnus succeeds in killing Hiccup. 

At first Morgana wanted Hiccup to suffer the pain of being alone by killing his true love, Astrid. Then killing all his other friends, so that he felt so alone and discourage that it will be easy to kill Hiccup. But plans have changed and Morgana decided Hiccup should die early because she just couldn't wait. 

"Prepare to die Hiccup Haddock" Magnus shouted walking closer to Hiccup.

"If I go down I'm taking both of you with me" 

Without hesitation Magnus charged at Hiccup with his battle cry. As their swords clashed with each other both of them felt a shiver run down their spines. While Hiccup was distracted Magnus took this chance to kick Hiccup in the gut. Hiccup groaned and held his stomach from the hit. As Magnus was about to cut Hiccup with his sword, Hiccup quickly grabbed his inferno and used it to block it. 

To Magnus he thought he was winning, but boy was he wrong. Even though it may look like Hiccup is playing defense, he was actually taking the time to carefully examine Magnus for his weak spots. Everyone has a weak spots, Hiccup will always take advantage of that. That's how Hiccup always wins in fights. While most vikings use their strength and size to win, Hiccup uses his brains. Something most vikings lack.

While the two were fighting Astrid, Emma and the others were trying to find Toothless and Hiccup. Astrid and Emma were desperate, they would anything to protect Hiccup. Astrid is in love with Hiccup but if he dies before she could tell him. History would have repeated. 

While Emma still didn't like Astrid, she could tell Astrid truly cared for Hiccup. And that was just enough to earn Astrid her trust. Although if Astrid EVER betrayed Hiccup, she would drown Astrid without a thought. 

Emma and Hiccup have a strong bond that happens over time. They are like two peas in a pod, inseparable. Emma and Hiccup are like brothers and sisters. But when Hiccup started getting to know her, she reminded him a lot of Astrid. Both were strong, beautiful, brave, stubborn and always getting what they want. 

Hannah was practically having a meltdown and crying. She couldn't lose Hiccup too, she couldn't bare losing someone else she loves. He was her only family left alive, besides Stoick. Stoick doesn't even know he has a daughter, and after hearing what he did to Hiccup. She could never count him as family! 

Just as Hannah was sobbing in the corner, she felt a cold breeze past through her hair. Hannah wiped her tears away suspicious of why that happened. Just then Hannah's vision starts to get dark and all of a sudden she sees Hiccup in front of her fighting Magnus. While Morgana was watching with an evil smile stamped on her face. Hannah was getting a vision!

Hiccup and Hannah share visions. They can see and feel if the other one is in danger. It's both a blessing and a curse. They can even see what the other one was dreaming about. 

"I know where Hiccup is!" Hannah shouted catching everyone's attention.

"You had a vision!? Where is he?" Emma asked 

"He is in the Dark realm. We have to go now!" 

"But what about the Berkians?" Heather asked

"we don't have enough time. We have to take them with us, come on!" Hannah said running to her dragon.

The others followed. With Astrid riding with Emma this time instead of Hiccup.

"now let's go save Hiccup and Toothless" 

And with that they flew into the horizon, to the entrance of the Dark Realm. 

~Time Skip~

The riders and berkians were nearing the portal, that would transport them into the Dark Realm. The portal was in the water, black and swirly. To non-dragon riding vikings, it looked like a nightmare had come into reality. But to the Dragon Riders, this wasn't near the scariest thing they had ever seen. 

"Alright Berkians! Brace yourselves and hold on tight! We are about to enter the place all evil beings are born from. The Dark Realm!" Hannah yelled

"Um actually, evil is not born they are made" Fishlegs annoying corrected.

Hannah rolled her emerald green eyes.

"Would you just shut up for once Fishface!?" Snotlout yelled

"Well you know what's not made?" Hannah asked angerly

"what?" Fishlegs and Snotlout asked in unison completely oblivious

"My fist" 

"ok!! That's enough! let's go already!" Heather yelled.

They all nodded in agreement and the dragons dived down into the portal. 

Astrid's pov

When we entered the portal I almost immediately noticed a very dark underground world. I could tell from the start Hiccup and his friends were hiding something from us but I didn't expect magic! 

I have never seen anything like this! There were pointy rocks coming out of the ground everywhere and Red firebirds circling a castle. There were bridges connecting to the castle, all of them were filled with statues of people suffering. The sky was filled with black clouds and and the only light was coming from a moon as red as blood. 

Suspiciously, Emma and the other riders seemed to know their way around here. As we entered the castle I could hear someone's battle cry. As we flew further towards the sounds, Hannah stopped abruptly. 

"Stop! We are here! let's go!" Hannah said landing and then getting off her dragon. 

Emma nodded and landed next to Hannah, and so did the others. Hannah started running off further towards the tunnel and we followed her. 

We soon found the end of the tunnel and went through it. I widened my eyes as I saw Hiccup fighting and kicking someone else. 

"Hiccup!? Thank thor we found you!" I yelled

Hiccup's pov

As I kicked Magnus in the face, I hear talking and.. Dragons?! I look over to the entrance and see.

"Hiccup!? Thank thor we found you!" Astrid yelled

Just as I was about to speak I felt Magnus punch me in the face. I wiped away the blood coming from my lip and charged at him. I was about half way from him when I felt myself being pushed back hard. I opened my eyes only to be greeted by Morgana's piercing green eyes and golden mask. 

"nighty night Haddock" She said before conjuring a green magic orb.

That's when everything went... Black.. All I could see was black, nothing there but a black wall. I then saw a bright white light. I had to go through it if I was going to get out of this place and defeat Morgana once and for all.

I felt myself gaining consciousness again as I opened my eyes. I get up and rub my eyes to make my vision clearer. As my vision stopped being blurry I see that I'm in my.... 

ROOM?!

I immediately jump out of my bed and run downstairs. 

I'm in my house on berk!!!

What the HELL!?

I open the door and see Dragons terrorizing Berk!! I grab a pail of water and look at my reflection.  Just then reality hit me like Astrid's fist.

I am 15 years old and still on Berk!!!!!!

Was running away and meeting Toothless all a dream?!
