Tw: Hospital, Broken bones, malnutrition, abuse, animal abuse mentioned, panic attacks

Pat's p.o.v:
My thoughts raced As I finished Packing my stuff before going to Deceit. I follow him out to the car that I noticed was newly out here. I was silent as I followed Deciet to his car and he helped me get into the passenger seat. I stayed quiet as we headed to the hospital. I started to question a few things as we went, Would I still be put into prison? Deceit said he wouldn't turn me in but he could be lying or he could be saying the truth but the hospital might turn me to the police. I soon hear softly and relaxing music play on the speakers as Deciet drove to the hospital l. I felt so tired though. My eyes started to drop a bit as we got closer

" You doing alright Blue?" Deciet asked softly.

"Patton"

"What?"

"My name. It's Patton" I say softly a bit, he is gonna find out sooner or later so might as well tell him now.

" Oh, alright then, Patton, how are you feeling?" He asked softly. That was a good question though- how was I feeling?

" U-uhm- t-tired? I think?" I say softly trying to stay awake. I hear Deceit make a small hum sound. I noticed that the car started to slow a bit.

"Try to stay awake for at least a few more minutes, ok?" Deciet asked. I nod as I shift to sit up.

"Alright" I say softly as he parks the car. After a minute l, I noticed Deciet get out of the car and I move to follow but he was opening my door before I could try to open it. I didn't realize how late it was as I shivered slightly. It was the first week of October so it was chilly outside now.

" Do you want to walk or do you want or need a chair or to be carried?" Deciet asked. I should walk or at least try to. So I don't give too much burden to Deceit.

" W-walk" I say softly trying to ignore how cold it felt outside of the car or the fact I felt my arm ache from the pain. I think my leg got bruised or something. I also had noticed that the hospital Deceit had driven us to, wasn't a normal hospital.

" You don't have an allergy to animals, right?" He asked softly. It was one of those hospitals that paired up with vets and animal shelters. They decided to do so because it had apperently helped both humans and animals in their healing process. They still had a wing for patients with allergies and another pets that cant be around humans right now or when they come in. I shake my head as a response to Deciet. We walked in and I told the nurse at the desk my name and needed information as Deceit spoke with another nurse. I did shiver a bit as there was a small wind blew inside. Once I finished giving the front desk nurse gave my information, I Sat down near the puppy pen till Deceit came over to wait with me. I smiled as I gently played with the puppies making small sounds they can hear and understand. I didn't care that I was being watched or not by Deciet. After all, They might find out eventually anyways. Plus, I liked the different puppies, and the cats nearby too. Even if I currently can't get closer to them now. I also noticed one puppy in the corner watching me. After a bit the nurse comes and calls my name.

" Patton Heart?" I sighed and made a small sound to the puppies to tell them I gotta go. I ignore the pain in my arm and leg along with the returned pain of my ribs. We walked mostly quietly to the room. I did stumble a couple of times and both the Doctor and Deciet had asked me if I wanted or needed a wheelchair which I declined, for a few reasons. We soon get to the room and the Doctor starts to ask a few questions. Deciet had stepped out so he didn't intrude on any personal information the doctor needed. Once I was done answering the questions, The doctor left as A nurse and Deceit came in. The nurse started to check my vitals and Deceit handed me a blanket. I stay quiet but I did nod when either Deceit or the nurse asked if I wanted to have a pet partner for now.

" Any preferred pet? The nurse asked.

" any really. Maybe not a cat tho-" I say softly.

" any preference in the creature?"

" No- a-any is nice-" I says softly before watching the nurse nod and leave the room. We get the TV on and Deceit let's me pick what to watch. About 10 minutes after I found a cartoon movie to watch, the nurse comes back with a small pup. I noticed how it was a black pup with a white heart on it's for head and chest. I watch the pup hyper pup closely as the nurse gently sets her on my lap.

" This one is a recently rescued pup. She is 10 months old and Her name is-" before the nurse could finish the sentence the pup barked out her name exitedly.

" Purity?" I asked softly Smiling. I didn't notice the way Deciet and the Nurse looked at me as I gently pet the small pup before looking at eachother for a minute before looking back at me.

" How did you know that?" The nurse asked. I guess they will find out sooner or later, right?

" She said it-" I says softly

" She said it?" Deciet asked to make sure he heard me correctly. I nod

" Ya- I-I can understand animals?" I says softly avoiding any eye contact with both Deceit and the nurse. Oh boy, oh no. Are they going to hate me now? Is Deciet just going to leave me? Is he going to realize that Troy was right in what he did? That I deserved it? I didn't even realize how shallow my breathes where getting till I noticed how hard it was to breath. Then I noticed Purity had nuzzled up to me a bit slowly helping me calm down and snap me out of my thoughts.

" Are you alright Heart?" The nurse asked having noticed I was going into a panic attack. I think Deciet had also noticed too. Maybe it was Purity's reaction or was it my deficulty to breathe properly at the moment? I nod shakily after a moment pulling myself away from those thoughts. I pet Purity as the nurse nods and explains what she was doing now. She carefully took my blood for testing and helped me get ready for the X-rays.
