"Did you guys hear that?"

"Hear what, Soobin?" asked a disgruntled Yeonjun as he sat up on his bed in the middle of their dark dorm room. Taehyun, Beomgyu, and Hueningkai were all still blissfully asleep and unaware of Soobin's question. "All I hear is someone waking me up from my beauty sleep."

Soobin — who was currently standing by their door — turned to shoot a glare at Yeonjun before turning his focus back on the door. Leaning his head close to the door, he heard the noise again. It sounded like some sort of creaking noise.

"Someone's out there," said Soobin as he moved to bring his phone out from his pocket, turning the flashlight app on.

"It's probably the film crew or something," said Yeonjun as he yawned, flopping back over onto his side before swiftly rolling onto his stomach. "Get some rest and stop making a situation out of nothing."

"Well, I'm going to go find out if it's truly nothing," said Soobin as he moved to open the door as quietly as possible.

The hallway before him was completely dark, lit up down the middle by a strip of moonlight that was peeking through the curtain at the end of the hall. Soobin took a step out into the hallway, shutting the door behind him before walking down the hall in the direction he thought the sound had come from. As he walked, silence echoed out around him. It wasn't until he was a few feet from the window by the stairwell that he heard the noise again.

His heart pounded in his ears as he turned his flashlight to look down the stairwell, blinding the person climbing up it as they both screamed. The person on the stairs tumbled backwards into the arms of the person directly behind them.

"Bang Chan? Mingyu? What are you two doing?" asked Soobin as he looked at the two of them lying in a tangle on the landing.

"We could ask the same of you," said Bang Chan as he moved to get off the top of Mingyu. "We heard a noise and came to investigate."

"So did I," said Soobin, the three of them falling silent as the sound echoed out again, causing them to all look at the window, soon turning wide-eyed at what was before them.
