Don't Leave Me! (Solid Snake x Reader)

Heheh, I needed to do this!

*WARNING: This story may hurt your feelings and WILL contain blood and... Cigarettes!*

"You can't do this to me! I need you!" Were the last words you muttered to him. He was on his last few breaths. Waterfalls of tears were streaming down your cheeks, as your vision became blurry. He'd always been by your side, but soon he wouldn't be and you'd have to face the world as one independent person instead of a strong-willed couple. You would fight alone, without a partner. It would be a lonely world

*Flashback 1*
"Snake!" You called out. "Hurry up, we need to get going!" You heard a low grumble and a man with brown hair and a scruffy stubble appeared. "Dammit, (y/n)! Can't you just let me have a cigarette?" He said. You tried to frown, but for some unknown reason, his attitude made you snicker. "No Snake, c'mon! People's lives are at risk!" "Alright, just hold on for another minute!" You tried to grab the cigarette from his hand. "Smoking is bad for you, y'know?" You told him. Snake, who was clearly uninterested replied "And? My father used to smoke cigars." "Well, you're not your father, your Solid Snake!" You said. You heard Snake mumble something. "Ok, ok. Let's go!" Snake said, after taking out a cigarette. "Good." You replied. The two of you headed off, in search of a certain somebody...
*Flashback 1 end*

You were practically choking on your own tears by now. You couldn't speak a single word. You felt like throwing up, but you couldn't.

*Flashback 2*
You were out on a warm, sunny field. Birds cackled above you and grasshoppers jumped from grass blade to grass blade. You felt like just falling back onto the soft ground and lying there for the whole day. You could very faintly hear footsteps. You turned around to see Solid Snake. He had one hand behind his back. "Hey, Snake! What's up?" You said. "H-here, (y/n)... I want to give you this." Snake stuttered, as he pulled out from behind his back a (fav colour) flower. You were blushing deeply as you took it. "T-thank you, S-Snake." You thanked him. Snake slightly blushed. He put his arms around you and pulled you closer to him. The truth was, you'd always loved him, you just couldn't tell him that! But now, it didn't matter as you could tell he had feelings for you. You wrapped your arms around him, wondering if this was just a really good dream and if you should wake up. But you realised that it wasn't a dream when you felt Snake's lips against yours. They tasted like cigarettes, but you didn't care! His stubble tickled your chin. You hesitated to kiss back, but you eventually did. When you pulled away, Snake looked into your (e/c) orbs and stated "I love you, (y/n)." "I love you, Solid Snake." You replied. He held out his hand which you took and you and Snake, the couple, walked out of the field together.
*Flashback 2 end*

These memories made you feel worse, you could hardly see a thing! You couldn't cry anymore. It felt terrible, but it would soon be over. His wound looked awful, but there was nothing you could do about it. He was near his end, every second closer and closer to a lonely world. Snake could see you sobbing. "(Y/n)... I know you will miss me, but just remember all the fun times we had, the people we saved..." He said, with a gentle voice. You could just about make out a few words. "That's- what's- upsetting me." Snake wrapped his arms around you one last time and kissed you once again. You hugged and kissed back, but this time neither of you pulled away, as you both knew this would be the last time you would ever do this again. You sobbed and sobbed until you used up all your tears, but strangely enough, you could hear Snake sobbing. In all the years you'd been a couple, he'd never once cried. Finally, Snake said his last words: "I-love you- (y/n)." You replied "I love you Solid Snake, I'll never forget you." He smiled one last time, then fell asleep, forever. You smiled through your tears. 'He's gone to a better place now.' You thought. 'He won't need to kill anyone else, ever.' You kissed his forehead one last time, then walked away, holding back even more tears. Otacon was waiting for you. "He's gone." You told him. 'I'll miss you, Solid Snake.' You thought. You walked away with Otacon, and all of the memories of you and Solid Snake came flooding back to you.

Well, that's my oneshot. I'm a pretty big Metal Gear fan so I had many ideas on who to write this about. Yeah, it was sad *sniffs*. Next, I'll be writing a note so yeah... Then more requests 😄
See yah!
