He pulled me closer to his lanky body. "I'm so sorry Vicki." I said. She smiled. "It's okay. You two are made for each other." I grabbed her hand. "Oh, you need to clarify this to our parents and Victor's." We quickly made our way back home. We knocked on our door, and my mother opened it. " Alice? Victoria? Victor!?" I walked in."What is happening? Why are you with Victor!" my father asked confused "There will be another wedding soon," I said to everyone. "Victor and I are in love. And I needed to tell you." my mother gasped. "The scandal!" "Please!" I begged. "You will still be saved from the poorhouse and Victor and I will be together!" I reasoned. Mother glared at us. We knocked on the Van Dort's door and waited. Nell opened it. "Oh my son!" she cried grabbing Victor. "William! Victor is back!" We soon explained to them about me and Victor, and they agreed. Said we were to get married tomorrow morning. Victor sighed and smiled at me. I smiled back and tousled his hair.
