the wedding

I was to get ready first. I would be her bridesmaid. I pulled out a long sleeved black dress with lace down my chest, and lace on the end of the sleeves. I sat down on my bed and started to cry. Victor was the love of my life, and now he is never coming back. Tears rolled of my cheeks. I soon sobbed quietly. Then I pulled myself together. I went to Victoria's room to get her ready. put her veil and crown on her. And buttoned up her dress. I wiped away her tears. "I'm so sorry Victoria." I consoled. "I should be happy, but now I feel like I'm caught in a tide, pulled out to sea." she sniffed. "The sea leads many places, maybe you'll find a way to euphoria..." I comforted.

                20 minutes later

"With this hand I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never be empty, for I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way into darkness. With this ring, I ask you to be mine." Lord Barkis said the vows perfectly. "I now pronounce you man and wife." said pastor Galswells.

At the wedding reception

It was silent as the grave. Until Lord Barkis rang his cup to announce a toast. My uncle Walter jolted awake. "Cultured, elegant, radiant." He paused. "Victoria has found a husband with all these qualities. No force could tear us apart." suddenly the fire flamed green. Victoria gasped. But the rest of my family didn't seem fazed. Suddenly figures were behind my parents and something fell into my fathers food. He picked it up. "There's an eye, in me soup." The rest of my relatives gasped and screamed knocking over the table. I cringed and backed away over to Victoria. Lord Barkis whimpered and went under the table. I glared at him. "Fetch me musket!" my father declared. Emil ran ."Fetch your own musket! I'm done!" he retorted. "Who invited these people?!" my mother screamed "I don't know Maudline!" Everybody ran out of the house and there was panic outside. It was just the three of us. I grabbed Victoria's arm."We need to go,"  Lord Barkis interuppted me. "She is my wife!" he stopped me before I could say another word. "That's it. We are going to take all the money and leave." Victoria and I looked at each other.       "Money? We don't have any money." she said puzzled. "What?" Barkis shook her. I pulled her away from him. "It was Victoria's marrige to you that will save my parents from bankruptcy." He grabbed me and shook me screaming, "You're lying! Tell me it isn't true!" "Did your little plan not work out?" I challenged. I pushed him away. "Well in disappointment, we are perfectly matched!" Victoria snapped and we left.Once we were on the doorstep we gasped. There was dead people, and living people hugging, talking, and laughing all heading somewhere. Even my mother was chatting with my dead grandmother. We decided to follow.
