Chapter 19
Another chapter is here so let's jump right into it!

(Y/n) snapped her eyes open expecting to get a glimpse of what happened after the explosion of Reshiram's and Mewtwo's attacks. Instead, she awoke to her former home in Unova, the place she had lived in with her brother after he had rescued her. "What...?" she muttered to herself. She threw back the covers of her bed and quickly left the room.
She didn't dare call out for anyone since she didn't know where she really was or how she had gotten there. Perhaps it was one of Mewtwo's tricks, but it was so quite and accurately portrayed the home (y/n) once knew. She heard a sound, someone walking towards her direction. She wasn't afraid, but not having any pokémon on hand could put her on edge and make her act on impulse.
Just as she turned the corner to intercept her potential attacker, she saw him freeze in place. He seemed terrified. "(Y/n)...is that really you?" N quietly asked as if speaking to loud would cause something awful to happen. This N didn't seem like the one that had so casually spoke against her when they were chased into the woods. "Please be real. There's something I need to tell you, but I wasn't sure if I would be able to reach you," he continued. He spoke a little louder this time, and (y/n) could see the desperate gleam in his eyes in place of his usual charm.
"I'm me, but are you really you? You're not being controlled right?" (y/n) inquired. N was so releaved to hear her say those words that it almost made him cry. "It really is you then?" she asked. He nodded and (y/n) didn't hesitate to hug him. It no longer mattered where she was or how she got there. In that moment, she only cared that her brother was actually speaking to her without being under someone else's control.
"I'm in your mind right now. Currently, Mewtwo is fighting one of your friends. I'm not sure if he is winning or not, so I must tell you this before I disappear," N began to say as he kept the hug going. He clearly didn't want to let his sister go. "Green is being used. She's the only one not being controlled. I don't know her myself, but I do know that Mewtwo is fueling her underlying emotional state and causing her to act on them. In truth, Mewtwo is Green's pokémon and listens to her orders," N began to explain.
"That doesn't make sense. How is that possible? Did Green catch Mewtwo or did he willingly join her?" (y/n) asked. N let her go and gave her a serious look. "I can't tell you for sure. I do know that Mewtwo has my and the others' conciousness trapped away from our minds. He accessed our memories and is replicating the worst in us. He's trying to manipulate you and some boy named Silver. I'm not sure who he is to you, but to Green, he is her brother. He's probably the only one who can put an end to this and free us," he said as he let her go.
"And what about Mewtwo? I know we have to confront Green, but Mewtwo is more powerful than I thought. I tried using my power on him, but it didn't have a strong affect," (y/n) asked. N gave her a look of uncertainty. "I don't know how to answer that. I just hope that you get to safety. I'd at least be fine with being trapped in that pokémon's mind so long as you are safe. I failed you as a brother one too many times already," N said.
Their surroundings began to suddenly melt when N said this. "My time is up. I need to get back before Mewtwo gets too far away. Try your best, but do not risk your life for my sake. I don't want anything to happen to you. Concordia and Anthea would be upset too, you know. They're still waiting for you in Unova," N said. He began to shimmer before disappearing entirely. (Y/n) was left there alone in her melting surroundings.
"I need to find a way out of here," she said to herself as she looked around. She rushed through the familiar home and found the place that the door should have been only to discocer that it was missing. Panic struck her as she looked for a window, but they were also gone. "This is crazy. I should just be able to wake up, right?" (y/n) spoke. There was nowhere for her to go and everything had begun to go dark.
The was no way to tell how much time had passed when she found herself waking up in the now familiar cold. Tabunne stood next to her attending to Red who was rubbing his head. Pika sat in his lap and monitored him as if he might pass out at any moment. The silent trainer was giving off strong confusion that masked the overwhelming grief that (y/n) hadn't yet sensed. When she did notice it, she quickly got up from the snow to find Silver and Crystal, the two sources of such emotion.
The action caused her head to throb but she didn't let that stop her from moving on. Just before she could pinpoint their location, (y/n) heard Crystal's cry of anguish. Something was wrong. Despite the worsening headache that opposed her movement, she ran towards the girl who had fallen to her knees in melting snow. (Y/n) didn't really pay much attention to the devastation of Mewtwo's and Reshiram's clash.
"Crystal, where's Silver? What ha-" (y/n) spoke but silenced herself when she looked further past Crystal. Silver was blocking a majority of her view, but she knew what was wrong when she saw more red than usual. "No. He can't be..." (y/n) thought as she slowly trudged forward into the crater. "Someone...anyone...help him. He has to be okay, so help him," (y/n) whimpered.
She didn't know why she had said such a thing, but when she had gotten close enough to hear Silver speaking to Gold, she noticed something. A sudden shift in emotion caught her attention, but (y/n) couldn't pinpoint the source of this determination. As soon as Silver stopped speaking, it happened. Their surroundings went dark as if the sun were suddenly covered by clouds that represented the night sky.
A bright glimmer of light that looked more like a drop of water dropped from the sky. It was the single source of light in that moment. The mysterious light landed right onto Gold. When it made contact with him, it reverberated a powerful wave of energy that spread across the ground in what looked like a ripple across a still body of water.
In that instant, (y/n)'s headache vanished and she felt as thought she'd had the most refreshing nap in the history of them all. Once the ripple reached a little past Red, the light of the sun returned and the source of determination was replaced by satisfaction. "What...was that?" Crystal asked from behind her. (Y/n) was speechless, not knowing what to say as she recognized a presence similar to Celebi's lurking around nearby.
"Gold, he's getting up! He's okay!" Crystal announced. Gold seemed shaken and confused, but he seemed fine. The only source of red present was Silver's familiar hair. "Everyone is here, Mewtwo is gone, and we're all still alive. But who exactly just healed Gold?" she asked. She knew it was possible but it would have taken a great deal of energy. Tabunne was certainly not capable of such a phenomenon either way.
Before (y/n) started asking questions, she went to Silver and Gold to help them if they needed help. Halfway there, she stopped in her tracks as a pokémon appeared out of thin air. (Y/n) had never seen or heard legends about this pokémon. It was onlt natural since this particular pokémon was so rare. The more she looked at it, the more like Mewtwo it seemed to become.
Silver seemed to know exactly what pokémon had decided to pay them a visit. He had stepped forward towards the little floating creature with his hand outstretched. "Mew...you saved him," he said. The look on his face was so peacefully joyful that (y/n) nearly cried. She had never seen him look so carelessly happy. The pokémon he reached out to didn't hesitate to nuzzle against his hand. "Everything is okay. You are okay," the pokémon telepathically spoke.
