Chapter 10

Almost waited too late to get this done. Here's the next chapter!

Mt. Silver was pretty far from their current location but based on what Red had communicated, it would be an easy journey. Of course it would seem that way to Red since he apparently stayed atop Mt. Silver. (Y/n) wondered if that was what the nurse was talking about when she mentioned him back at the pokémon center. Pika had not been specific but from what (y/n) knew, Red had isolated himself there.

He was in high spirits and rather energetic despite it being so early in the morning. In fact, he was eager to lead them to Mt. Silver which (y/n) found to be reassuring. He had been emitting negative emotions of sadness ever since Blue kept speaking to him back at Mt. Moon. Now (y/n) couldn't sense any of that and all negativity was replaced with elatedness. Blue and Yellow's whereabouts were still unknown to them.

It was a little unnerving especially considering the fact that they'd been left to look after Reshiram. Not only that but (y/n) was worried about the others. Silver had been thinking about his sister Green and his friends Gold and Crystal. N was also still out there somewhere. It seemed that Red was the only one taking things so well and it was good that he was not giving of a sad aura. Unfortunately, (y/n) had to risk changing his happy state of being because there was a small problem.

They had just left only half an hour ago but they wouldn't be able to make it to Mt. Silver without resting somewheere for the night. The mountain waa covered in snow and the journey to the top wasn't an easy one. They would need to rest before making that part of their trip. "Um, Red...where are we going to spend the night? People are on out trail from nearly every city. That incident at the pokémon center didn't help out travel ability," (y/n) said.

Red, who had been looking ahead all smiles, stopped in his tracks and gave (y/n) slight frown. It was clear that with all of his brilliance, he hadn't even considered such. "We can find another spot in woods somewhere. I'm sure it won't be that hard to get there unseen if we stay away from society," Silver suggested. Although he was right, he also forgot something important.

"We don't know how long we'll be staying at that mountain. We'll also need supplies and food. The pokémon center and pokémart are the only places we can get those things. Those places are probably swarming with police. They know we can't survive on our own like this," (y/n) pointed out. Silver and Red stayed silent although (y/n) hadn't expected a verbal response from Red. Instead, Silver's Totodile, who had been carried by Silver all the while, made a good point. After Totodile explained, Silver and Red looked at (y/n) for a translation.

"We could send wild pokémon into the stores and get them to grab certain things for us. That's actually a brilliant plan. Thanks Totodile," (y/n) spoke. Silver tilted his head in slight confusion. "You want us to get wild pokémon to steal for us?" he said. Red facepalmed at the statement. "Well if you put it that way, it sounds like we're committing a crime," (y/n) muttered. "That's because it is a crime. Even if they are wild pokémon, they'd be stealing under your command," Silver said.

Red nodded in agreement clearly not liking the idea of having to steal. "Got any better ideas? We still haven't even gotten to the first issue at hand," (y/n) said with a pout. She knew Silver had stolen before but she also knew that he didn't want to steal again. Red was a fugitive for a reason (y/n) didn't know so she wasn't sure if he'd even committed theft before although it was highly unlikely considering his reaction.

"We could still pay for it. You can send Tabunne to pay for it and she can keep the wild pokémon in check so they don't do anything to crazy," Silver said for he had genuinely given the idea some thought and really did not want to steal. (Y/n) was going to agree to whatever he said regardless of what it was. It was Silver after all and she'd do just about anything for him.

"What town are we targeting first? We're closest to Cerulean City since that's the place Red chose to take you but we're leaving that city. What's next? I know we'll have to pass by Mt. Moon again since Mt. Silver is past it. I'm not from here so I wouldn't know any other places," (y/n) said. Red suddenly gave off a depressingly bleak aura of emotion that she immediately picked up on.

"Did I say something wrong?" (y/n) asked Red. Poor Silver was rather confused for he hadn't realized that (y/n) had used her ability to pick up on Red's emotions. Red gave her a look of uncertainty and it seemed that all of his eagerness to proceed with their current quest had disappeared. "There's a place you don't want to go, isn't there," (y/n) guessed. Red nodded in confirmation.

For a moment, everyone was silent not knowing what to do about their problem but Silver soon broke that silence. "We'll figure things out when we get to it. For now, we can at least head to the next town and put our current plan into action. After we reach that first objective, we can get this straightened out. We have the rest of our day ahead of us. There's no need to rush things," Silver spoke.

He was correct too. Besides, they had plenty of time to think about it. (Y/n) knew for a fact that they had quite a long distance to walk before they even reached Mt. Moon, a journey with no town stops in between. "We'll make it and fix everything. We have to. For Green, for N, and everyone else," Silver said with a nod. His words were reassuring and made things all that much better.
