Have you Heard? Tog É Go Bog É by Kíla

Kíla is a traditional Irish group that has been touring and making music since the early '90s.

This is the Irish group I've seen live the most times. Their live shows are scintillating as the multi-instrumentalists switch and vary what they play, often transforming whole songs into different entities from what you heard on the album.

The title track to Tog É Go Bog É (take it easy) talks (in Irish, sometimes referred to as Gaeilge) to a friend who's immigrating from the green fields of his homeland to a concrete jungle in a far away land.

So I guess in these trying times when my own Irish family has immigrated to far-off lands (Me in Spain and brothers in England and Australia) this work has taken on a sentimental value for me.

Most of the album consists of rich instrumentals of traditional Irish music, consisting of Bodhran, Uilleen Pipes, Guitar, bass, fiddle, Flue, and percussion. This is a great album to get on board with this group.
