God Help the Outcasts
The title of the next universe gives the group a sense of confusion or sympathy. Some of the audience having mixed emotions about what they're about to see from this next one.
"Shall we see what this world will teach us?" Nezu says before calmly sipping his tea.
Everyone sat back in their seats and watches the screen with eager curiosity.
The screen fills with color of the next chosen universe. Instead of it being daytime, it is once again taken in the night of the day.
Their view panning down and zooming closer to a stone carved statue of All Might in his muscular form posing heroically.
Villains in the audience scoffing or rolling their eyes at the statue. The students, guests, and teachers seeing at the statue while said former hero flushes with embarrassment.
Then their view is cut over to a shot of a person wearing a dark hooded cloak approaching the statue. Their steps making soft clicks against the pavement before stopping in front of it. They look around as if to make sure the coast is clear.
Carefully, the person pulls back their hood once they deem the area safe. Familiar short dark green hair is shown swaying to the cold night air, followed by the frame of their pretty face as they breath a puff of warm air.
"Midoriya!" The students chorus seeing their friend once again in screen.
"But he's a she in this," Denki informs as he notices the difference in stature between their Midoriya and this one on screen.
True to his words, the boy is indeed a she here in this world. Her height a few centimeters shorter with a cute face. When parting her cloak open a bit they could see her wearing a shirt black skirt and a white blouse with a green ribbon tied under her blouse collar. On one of her ear lobes is a black earring that hangs in a crystal form in decoration that glimmers under the streetlights of the night.
"Well Midoriya's b-" Tsuyu is quick to slap him with her tongue which she had found still being able to use. She mentally thanks Song for being able to still being able to do this to keep the pervert in line.
"Be quiet and listen, kero."
Midoriya-chan on screen looks up at the statue with a tired longing look. She comes closer to the base and reaches into her cloak to pull out flowers. A small smile stretches her lips a bit as she places the flowers near his feet.
Taking a step back she look up once more to All Might's stone face holding a big smile.
"I don't know if you can hear me or if you're even there... I don't know if you would listen to a Quirkless kid's prayer," Midoriya sings softly into the night air.
Her green eyes linger on his form a moment more as she continues to sing. "Yes, I know I'm just an outcast. I shouldn't speak to you..." She looks guilty as she brings her hands up to her chest clenched together. Finally she turns her back to the statue as she walks away. Her eyes falling close for a moment. "Still I see your face and wonder, Were you once an outcast too?"
"All Might being an outcast? I don't think so," Kirishima chuckles innocently. "He's too manly to not be a hero!"
Mina nods in agreement with her red haired friend. "Can't imagine it either."
Midoriya knew for sure what the other him or her meant when she asked that question. All Might was like him before taking on One for All. They were both quirkless, the bottom of the ladder in their society.
They were zero before becoming a hero.
A look of hurt is expressed as she enters into a dark alleyway. Blending in with the shadows of the night as she makes her way past many who walk in the light.
She runs into a different alley where she meets with a group of children wearing rags. All shivering in the cold of night with only some holding thin blankets that don't even do enough.
"God help the outcasts, hungry from birth." Midoriya's narrating voice sings over her voiceless self as she gathers the children around her. Her smile warm to them as she magically pulls out a duffle bag from her cloak. "Show them the mercy, they don't find on Earth."
One by one she gives them a better blanket and a pack of food enough to last them for probably a few days. When a little fight happens with the kids during the process of handing out food she carefully separates them and talks them into apologizing to each other. The two make up and go to their rightful groups of friends.
"Wow, Midoriya-chan is very sweet," Toga gushes to the girl version of Izuku. Blushing and maybe even thinking about wanting to see her covered in blood.
Inko wrings her hands together over her lap seeing the daughter version of her son so sweet and caring. Her mother sensing a familia kind of love at work as the female Izuku cares for the children. "Izuku..."
It's later she packs up her stuff. Leaving them with a sorry smile, only to be stopped by a little girl. In her hand a broken All Might dolly. "God help my people, we look to you still." The teen squats down to practice her head comfortingly.
No one could hear what she's saying but it's enough to know that it makes the girl happy. The All Might doll in her hand is given to Midoriya carefully.
Playfully the older girl waves her hand over the doll. Once, twice, and their third time seals the doll's fate. The figure is restored in brand new like condition. The little girl is elated as she hugs Midoriya around the neck happily.
A very wholesome scene that brings a little bit of tears to those of the emotional type of people in the audience.
She accepts the renewed dolly, taking the small toy back into her hands preciously and is sent off with a smile.
Midoriya-chan then stand back up to continue her journey who knows where. She stands at the mouth of the alleyway with a firm face before stepping into the light after pulling her hood back up.
"God help the outcasts or nobody will."
Now hidden within the crowd, Midoriya-chan is able to listen to her surroundings. The bustle of people in the night going in and out of buildings she passes by.
All of them either talking about work, the new trends they might be following, or possibly considering to by the latest merchandise being sold. Hero propaganda thrown around here and there in bright focus.
Quietly she makes it to a little chapel where some religious people are silently praying on their knees. Others whispering their prayers that she can hear from her position outside the door.
Her expression solemn as she listen to each whispered prays.
"I ask for wealth." A young woman prays earnestly.
"I ask for fame." A middle aged man whispers with his hands clasped together tightly.
A wannabe hero prays before the holy figure. "I ask for glory to shine on my name."
Some of the students and heroes give their encouragement to the new hero. Yet the villains roll their eyes at the young hero's pray as they take it in a wrong way.
To the students and heroes it another hero in the making to do good, but to the villains it's another person shaped by the standards of society looking for fame and money.
"I ask for love I can possess." A similar prayer among the young and old who seek for love.
Midoriya expression seems to get even more tired. She leaves after hearing one more prayer among the crowd. "I ask for God and his angels to bless me."
She escapes to an alleyway and presses her back against the wall. Her eyes teary as she slumps against the wall. The back of her hands do the best they can to wipe away her tears.
"Midoriya-chan... kero," Asui says sadly seeing the girl cry on screen.
Izuku's heart goes to his female counterpart as he starting to understand a bit of her position in this world.
"Poor Midoriya-chan," Hakagure and some of the girls sympathize.
"I ask for nothing! I can get by..." Midoriya sang sadly as she pulls herself away from the wall. Her arms fold across her chest in attests to hug herself in comfort. Walking over to a wooden stair case not to far from where she stood. "But I know so many less lucky than I..."
Flashes of memories of small innocent children like those she helped earlier and some villains are shown in terrible positions. Whether it be true evil intent or for pure act of help for another that is taken in as villainous. The poor and the outcasts of society, the lost and forgotten.
Some of the villains can't help but find it with in them that she is very true to her words and actions. A girl who empathizes or maybe giving villains sympathy for the outcasts of society. One of the rare many they could see themselves no trying to get on the wrong side of.
A natural heroic one at heart.
She walks up the steps one step at a time.
"Please help my people, the poor and down-trod. I thought we all were children of God..." Midoriya reaches the top of the stairs. Her song ending in a soft pray for help, "God help the outcasts, Children of God..."
She sighs upon reaching a wooden door. Her hand takes the knob and twists it while pushing the door open.
"Welcome back Princess," Kurogiri greets upon seeing her.
Kurogiri, in the audience, looks surprised at calling the female hero in training by that title. Even his young master is giving him a weird look over his shoulder about the addressing title to the girl. He merely shrugs his shoulders unsure as to what role he's playing here.
"I'm back Kurogiri... Where's Tomu-nii and the others?" She asks after looking around upon entering the bar. It wasn't like her adopted brother and his band of friends to be away from the bar without telling her.
"No... Midoriya-chan is with the villains here?!" Sato questions with wide eyes full of shock.
"That can't be right, Midoriya is too kind for that." Ojirou comments looking worriedly confused.
"Something came up, the Doctor needed them for a quick errand." The dark purple and black bartender informs while setting down a now cleaned glass on the counter. His glowing yellow eyes squint at the young girl's form with a questionable expression. "Shall I open a portal to send you to your father as usual?"
Midoriya-chan nods simply.
"Thank you Kurogiri."
The warper smiles with his eyes and opens a portal Midoriya-chan's size. He gives her a little bow and straightens up. "Anything for you Princess."
The screen turns black once the girl enters the portal
"I'm home, Papa."
"You don't think..." Gran Torino starts glancing at his former student with hesitance.
All Might shakes his head refusing to believe the implication of his old teacher. "No, no, no. Young Midoriya could never be related to that monster."
"But this alternate world gives it a possibility," Recovery Girl whispers to the two hero dolts next to her. "As Song and the multiverse theory has claimed, anything is possible."
"Perhaps you could assume her father also works for All for One if you want to feel slightly better." Nezu chuckles while the three sweatdrop to his words.
On the villain sides of things, All for One thinks quietly to himself. So quiet during most of the worlds they've seen so far. His founding project of the league of villains making comments here and there about what they've seen so far.
As for the hero students in training, they're more than awed by the possible worlds. This one was emotional enough to bring tears while the first make them curious and excited.
The white screen finishes loading up the next world's viewing.
Another Verse is starting.
