sometimes i am the SUN
and i take all your attention

there are days when i am MERCURY
a tired, stony grey

occasionally i am VENUS
a flower you've left untouched

other times i am the EARTH
quietly abused and unappreciated

most days i am MARS
a brightly burning candle

and then i feel like JUPITER
an overbearing presence

but then i become SATURN
caged within my rings

occasionally i am URANUS
a vibrant little soul

but i'll also become NEPTUNE
wrapped up in all my blues

and sometimes i am PLUTO
mislabeled by the others

all within my little GALAXY
a place you never see
