Chapter 3: Spike to the feet.

Vermeil and Alto training began in the morning, but not the usual way. Rachel and Neider led the them to a closed door on the third floor. The demon man took out a fancy key and opened it. But instead of the usual study, they were greeted by a huge training area inside. Rachel expalined.
"This is a pocket dimension where the rules of physics are changed. Each object inside is regenerated and also gives a manna back and cures every wound. In return, the physical force measured on the body is threefold."
"Furthermore, the rules of time are not even. What three hours outside is six hours here. We will go in there twice a day to train more accurately after breakfast and lunch. Besides, you cannot use this room, because any extra time spent there will only be harmful to your body. Got it?"
"Yes sir." they replied and go inside.

The training was actually tough, but not relentless. Vermeil studied mainly martial arts again and had to regain her old physical strength. Meanwhile, Alto focused on concentrating his manna for his spells. Rachel gave her a special glove that is punished if the wearer didn't focus. In that case, it was just wasting manna, without spells. He was specifically stuck in this because by the end of the first training session, he could summon a little crystal column. Vermeil also showed that she had been training for a long time, because Neider easily dismantled her and could only return the bill once.
"It was a good start, guys." Neider said at the end when they left the room.
"I wouldn't say that. all my limbs and body ache." Vermeil panting.
"And I feel like I've done ten rounds."
"How do you know it's like that until you have experienced it?" Rachel asked with a half -smile on her face.
"He will feel it. Sooner or later..."
At Vermeil's remark, Neider laughed. Training in the afternoon brought only minimal changes. The next day there were some unexpected guests.

At a secluded base in the Ortiga's underground system, a small, bluish-haired man dressed in a hood whistled contentedly and put together something structural. He's Iolite, the Platinum Rank mage, who wanted to lock Vermeil's power most recently. He was almost at the gate of victory, when he had to flee. Playing with that damn garden gnome got him out of time. He had to hide now, as the police were trying to find him. After a while, his colleague entered the room, who was only called Heliodor. The witch's outfit crossing the black mourning is even complemented by her beauty. But her eyes were colder than ice.
"Iolite. Our master has ran out of patience."
"Okay. He don't have to worry. I'll go out soon and collect that damn demon bitch. No need to talk about the last time."
"Besides, I don't understand why you spent so much time? Other times, you do your job in fast pace, and you just start playing the cool kid now?"
"Don't mess on this anymore. The team also laughs at me for failing a task."
"Failing? That's an understatement. You broke into the Ortiga Academy Bronze Rank exam, set up a little trouble, played the cool kid, and then we had to leave or we'd get caught. Do you want to end up like Obsidian?"
"Don't compare me to that sold-out Sho Tucker! That idiot would have realized we were trying to exterminate his kind when the bell rang!" Iolite shouted out loud. Heliodor doesn't faze.
"Your ego will take you to the grave once. Just because you are Platinum Rank mage and unbeaten, not yet equivalent to being the middle of the world.
"Screw you! I will do this and prove that I am the best here!"
Iolite then stepped in. He arrived in the middle of the night at Ortiga Academy when Alto and Vermeil had gone. He tried to get their manna. They can't go far yet. But, in vain, the sophisticated sensation, when their trail has disappeared halfway towards Araraki.
"Smart move, I'll give them that. They must be under some kind of protective spell. Never mind, I'll figure something out."

Iolite's assistance came in the form of two girls, named Lilia Kudelfate and Elena Kimberlite. Lilia has been in love with Alto for a long time and she can't stand it when she sees him with Vermeil. Since she couldn't find anywhere in his room that particular morning, but even in the whole Academy, she headed for the student council, where Elena was just on the papers of the rebuild.
"Hi, Elena. How can I help you?"
"Hi. Where's Alto?"
"He went to Araraki with Vermeil."
"WHAT? Are you serious? Why he didn't tell me that?"
"Why should he? Are you his guardian? Or his mother?"
"No, but if they walk into a trap?"
"Don't worry. They probably went to rest. After all, they are already quite a lot of trouble. They even received tickets from a friend."
"What?"
"Oh. I thought you sent them to them." Elena thinking a little and then smiled. "I'm sure they'll fine."
"Hell no! It could be a trap! We need to go after them."
"Can't you still be jealous of Alto and Vermeil?"
To this question, Lilia's head blushed completely and began to flutter with her hand.
"This has nothing to do with my concern about this situation."
"Fine. If you want it so badly, we'll go there. I need a break, and Chris came back this morning. This renovation is exhausting anyway. I'll hand it over to the rest of the student council. Just don't whine that a fact, that you've already lost that war" Elena whispered the end.
"What did you say?"
"We'll go in three hours. By that time, be ready."
Ilolite saw the two girls walk away after three hours.
"All right, my piggies. Pick up the truffles for me and maybe you'll die... last."

Since Lilia and Elena did not go by train, but by horse-drawn carriage, so they headed for the beach of Araraki, a little troublesomely. In the meantime, one of them installed a manna meter, into which Lilia inserted a strand of alto's hair, so that it showed his manna imprint.
"Can I ask you something?"Elena asked while driving the horse-drawn carriage.
"Sure."
" Are you collecting Alto's hair?"
"No... I... find... his... pillow."
"Of course, and I believe that? I bet you even got some underwear from him."
Lilia was completely freaked out by the her response, but could not give an answer because halfway the marker turned to the left.
"What's this? Araraki is straight forward."
"That's not good. We need to stop."
Elena stopped her horses so the two girls got out. Apparently aimed at the forest, but as soon as they went only ten cents, they collided with something.
"This must be a very powerful force field." Elena said.
"Did I tell you they were trapped in this?"
"Okay, I admit it. We need to cut our entrance."
Elena reached for her sword and made three well-aimed cuts to open an entrance. Her sword had mysterious and terrifying power, cutting the force field seemed child's play.
"Well. After you, Lilia."
Iloite watched them from a distance. When he saw the breakdown of the force field, he spit on the side.
"So that's why I couldn't find any trace of any of them. Wise, but sooner or later I get to them."

On the morning of the second day they were just doing training when Neider cried out.
"Someone broke the field! They're approaching!"
Alto and Vermeil were shocked, while Rachael's eyes were cold confidence. Immediately rushed into the courtyard of the mansion where someone was approaching. They were all in a fighting stance waiting for the attack, but instead, Lilia rushed to Alto and hugged him.
"Alto! Are you alright?"
Elena appeared later.
"Hello there! Sorry for the intrusion."
Neider and Rachel were not happy about these two girls.
"What are you doing in a protected area, where only my familira can let anyone in?" Rachel asked with furious tone.
"I'm so sorry, but I had to cut a hole in the spell. Lilia was afraid..."
"YOU IDIOT BITCHES!" Neider shouted and grabbed the two girls by the neck, then pressed her to the nearest tree. "Do you have any idea what you have done? That field would have protected Alto and Vermeil while training!"
"Neider! Release them." Alto said appeasingly. "They were just worried about me and that's why they did it."
"I don't give a flying fuck about that! Now I..."
"Neider! Release them! That's an order!"
Rachel flashed the seal on her hand to give her word a torque. He complied with the request.
"Alto. You have a crazy friend." Lilia whispered, while massaging her neck.
"We really regret this, but we'll be repair immediately."
Apparently, none of them could be bribed with an apology.
"Anybody following you?" Vermeil asked.
"Yes. Up here." he answered with a voice familiar to the couple. Iloite was at the top of one of the trees, smiling and watching those below. "Missed me?"

There was a slight pause next to the cold air. Alto and Vermeil stood side by side with their heads bowed and hands clenched in fists. Neider and Rachel looked him in the eye with a look of hatred. Elena and Lilia just stood back.
"I didn't know we would let go of gays today." Rachel said coldly. Ilotie was surprised.
"Did your hear that, love couple? This has already struck harder than you."
"What the hell are you looking for here, little cramp?" ask Neider.
"You don't have to be so rude. It's totally clean why am I here, although the plan has changed a bit. Originally, I'm here for the demon bitch, but an ancient demon be here? As if it were Christmas... for me." Iolite grinning at the end.
"So you came for us?" Neider asked sarcastically and stepped forward. "Then how about a deal?"
"You're not in a position to impose conditions, but I'm listening."
"You're wrong. You're not into it. Right now, there are two demons and four humans standing against you. so we're gonna rip you apart like wet handkerchiefs." Rachel interrupted, but Iloite laughed.
"Your words are very old-fashioned. even children are bored that shit."
"I'll put everything on a single fight. If a month will win the couple I choose, you will tell me all you know about your organization. If they lose, you can take what you need with zero resistance. Is that fair?"
"Interesting offer. But I don't have a month for this shit. You get two weeks because I like the idea and you find me in a good mood."
"Fine."
"Who will be your champions?"
"Alto and Vermeil."
Iloite laughed loudly and mocked. The pair only listened with a bowed head and clenched fist.
"Are you serious? Last time, I wiped the floor with those two poor bastards, and I don't see them making any progress. It is even a wonder that the demon bitch is not in a coma."
He started laughing again after that. Neider, on the other hand, smiled. Pinching his weak spot.
"Are you afraid and cover it by laugh?"
"I'm afraid? look at them. they tremble like leaves. I bet they still wake up in a cold sweat when they think of me."
"We do not tremble because we are afraid." Alto whispered and looked up at Iloite. The fire of determination was burning in his eyes. Vermeil also looked up with a similar look. "More like because we can't wait to kick your ass to match the color of my rank."
Iolite was about to answer when a chunky piece of crystal flew towards him. He missed, but scratched his face, from which a few drops of blood leaked. He wiped the blood with his finger and licked it off.
"I appreciate your dedication. Just don't end up crying and begging for mercy. I'm in! See you in two weeks!"

Iloite then turned and disappeared from the field of vision. A minute of silent silence began.
"He's really gone. I can't sense his Manna. Moreover, the gap in the shield was repaired." Rachel said. Lilia completely collapsed. thanks to her stupid worry and hopeless and unrequited love life, they've found themselves in bigger trouble.
"Congratulations." Neider grumbled toward the two intruders.
"We take responsibility for our own actions." Elena replied.
"Good. Actually, Alto and Vermeil depend on your fate. They have two choices. The first is that you stay and train hard, and besides, all the housework is yours. The second is to kill you."
"That's a bit radical of you. But also understandable." Rachel noted. Alto looked at both of them. While Lilia accepted her fate with a dead face, Elena waited for the verdict with an unchanging smile.
"It's unnecessary to kill them, since they were driven by good intentions. Also, both are strong, so they can help a lot in the near future."
"What's your choice, Vermeil?" Neider asked. She hugged Alto. Her face only revealed that the second version is more better.
"I believe in my partner so they can stay."
"Fine. Lilia and Elena! You got a second chance. So, it's time for you to get settled in."

Things seemed to calm down in the evening. Alto, Vermeil and Neider bathed in the lake.
"Do we have a chance to win this way?" Alto asked to Neider. His head red from booze, but he remained somewhat sober.
"Yes but we need a nasty change came into the training plan. We need to urge this. So now I need to initiate the technique that will be the final ace card in your hands and that little cramp will not laugh at you anymore."
"What would it be?" Vermeil asked.
"Soul Fusion."
