Hey guys, welcome back to my channel and if this is your first time, wow! What a video to start off with. My name's Vernon. I'm half American and you're listening to the story of how I fell in love with my best friend without realizing. Yeah I know this video is out of character but this is kinda a surprise since it's our fifth anniversary and you guys have been asking about him. Yeah I'm talking about the guy you've seen in the background of my streams these days.

I met Seungkwan when I was.. Uhm. Yeah I don't remember exactly. I think we've been close ever since we met but I've known him since 3rd grade. If I'm being honest, I might have already had a crush on him by 8th grade. 

As he said this specific paragraf, photos of Seungkwan appeared. One in 3rd grade, a selfie of him in highschool and the last one of Vernon and Seungkwan cheek to cheek from probably middle school.

"Hi!! You are Vernon? I'm Seungkwan!" An old video tape of Seungkwan introducing himself to Vernon appeared on screen. Seungkwan came up to me when I first moved and for some reason I just... really liked being around him. Though I used to make pretty savage remarks towards his english for a 3rd grader. Ouh damn, I was a prick back then wasn't I. 

-Yeah you were!

A chuckle was heard a bit farther from the mic. And if you're wondering, Seungkwan is here as I record the video.

-Hi guys! This is what I sound like!!

-Boo don't be too cute...

-What why? This is how I talk and you know that!

-It's gonna be hard to gatekeep you and people are gonna start asking stuff like-

The video recording was cut to a black screen and after 5 seconds you can see Vernon shuffling back into frame. 

-Sorry about that.

-He's just a little protective guy!

-Boo! Anyways... where was I?

Oh yeah, ever since we met and he introduced himself, I was just... infatuated, Maybe it was the way he looked when he smiled. Especially when we were kids, he had really round cheeks and a bright smile. He would hangout with lots of people ever since we were kids, he's like really extroverted and would drag me around since i'm the opposite. Back then, I was content staying home, playing video games, and avoiding the social scene.

But he'd come over, and suddenly I wanted to go out. Whenever we hung out, it ended up being me trying to figure out if I liked it or if it was just him that I liked. Pretty memorable thing was our mothers were friends so we have all this footage from our younger days, like these ones!

On screen a new recording seemed to be around middle school. They seemed to be at someone's dining room table.

-But Vernon!! You know I like orange juice?? Why'd you tell her I liked apple juice!?

-Well maybe I didn't want her to know you liked orange juice! Plus I could be the one buying you orange juice...

-Really!? Then you owe me orange juice okay?

-Okay The recording ended with Seungkwan hugging Vernon. Even though the footage was from behind, you could see Vernon with red ears.

Cut to Vernon awkwardly strumming a guitar while Seungkwan laughs.

-Haha! Are you serious? I think your playing the national anthem! This barely sounds like 'I think I' by Byul! Let me teach you...

-◛⑅·˚ ༘ ♡ ⊳⊳ ⊲⊲ ♡ ༘ ˚·⑅◛-

-Haha! You could see his red ears in the video! I think around that time, my mom showed me that video, I watched it over and over. I kept looking at your ears.

-Really? You liked me in middle school too?

-Probably but i didn't notice until i accepted the fact in the beginning of highschool. 

Suddenly Vernon stood up and he went out of frame and the only thing you could hear was

-Ouch that hurt!

-Haha you're so cute. And with that Vernon comes back into the frame, right after pinching Seungkwan's cheeks.

Yeah so technically we both liked each other since middle school with you realizing in highschool... Wait, I have a question though....

-What is it?

-Why did you date so many people in highschool if you knew you liked me?

-I was just trying to get you jealous and it worked! You asked me out by 3rd year of highschool!

Yeah... highschool. Let's talk about highschool. So high school came, and we were still acting like nothing had changed. I remember I started acting super awkward around him, though. I'd always tease him, but there were those moments where I'd catch myself just... staring at him and feeling like I could tell him anything. I think one of the hardest parts of high school was being unsure. Seungkwan was dating people left and right, and I was always afraid he might not take me seriously. There was that one time I got unusually super jealous and just shut down on him.

It wasn't until the third year of high school that I finally got up the nerve to ask him out. Maybe it was the endless teasing, or maybe I finally realized that I didn't want to keep pretending that it was just 'whatever.' I walked up to him after class, and I must've stood there for a full minute, debating if I should just walk away. My heart was racing, and I swear, my palms were sweating. But then, before I could overthink it anymore, I just said it. 'So, do you want to go out with me, or what?' Pulling out the bouquet of Daylilys and a brown bear from behind my back.

-Haha! I remember that! You were so cute! In the video you could see Seungkwan pinching Vernon's cheeks, his face just outside the frame. You were so flustered after realizing what you said! I didn't even say anything, I just kissed your cheek and ran, hahaha! You could see Seungkwan ruffling Vernon's hair and his hand slipping away. As the red in his face died down he continued.

Ahem yeah. It's been five years now since we officially became a couple, and I still can't get over how much we've changed. Sometimes we look back at these old videos, and it's so obvious that we were head over heels for each other way before we even knew what that meant. I mean, I was practically dating him in my head since middle school. Anyway, I guess the moral of the story is... never underestimate the power of childhood crushes. Who knew that little 3rd grader I met would end up being my best friend and boyfriend? And trust me, this anniversary video is just the start. We've got a few more surprises coming, but for now... I think we've talked enough about our embarrassing past.

The video ends with Vernon and Seungkwan saying goodbye with only half of Seungkwan's body in frame. ...

The video was a black screen for 10 seconds until a video appeared. This one seemed fresh. Like newly recorded with a date in the corner of the screen. 

April 20 2021. 

The camera showed two figures in the distance as the sun set. The scenery seems like a beach in Jeju. The taller figure turns to look the shorter in the eyes and hold their hands. As he turns you could a hundred percent tell it was Vernon and you could safely assume the other figure is Seungkwan.

Vernon was talking a bit long until he reached into his back pockets. He got onto one knee and suddenly you could hear what he said in the video.

"Boo Seungkwan will I have the pleasure of you marrying me and becoming Chwe Seungkwan?"
