Only the most showy, dynamic couple in the 2nd gen Ceristen kids, why do you ask?

Delean, a.k.a. Derek Kenhelm and Aílean Mycraí, are high in my favorites list lately and I absolutely had to do the OTP tags with them.

So *fires starting gun* here we go

Who's the messiest one?

"Aílean, I seriously can't even walk through this closet, let alone find whatever yellow-dotted blouse you were talking about."

"I sincerely doubt that the man who hiked a mountain last month is incapable of walking through the closet."

"Oh, would you like me to plant my shoes all over your belongings?"

Who feels the most uncomfortable about public displays of affection?

Derek is Severely Proper about what lines are and are not appropriate to cross before dating/engagement/marriage and would avoid most physical contact, especially in public, at first.

But. After they become an official thing, he starts to really warm up to it (his love language is in fact physical touch). Aílean, for her part, has no real inhibitions about the whole idea.

Cue the dramatic pair kissing on a street corner with zero regard for anyone who sees them.

Who texts the most?

Aílean, probably, although neither of them would be super-frequent texters.

Who has the most embarrassing taste in music?

Already touched on Derek's tastes a bit in the last one.

I think Aílean would like a few artists/styles that Derek perceives as weird. She listens to them when he's not in the house, or, if they're having a tiff, to annoy him.

Who reads the most?

Aílean likes to curl up with a book by the fire in the evening when Derek is typically cleaning his weapons or finding something else lowkey exciting and hands-on to do.

Who's better with kids?

I think they're about equal to be honest, although kids might be a little more receptive to Aílean's exuberance than Derek's intensity.

Who's the one who fixes things around the house?

"Dereeeekkkkk!"

*yell from across the house* "What?"

"I think the bathroom sink is leaking. Do we know any good plumbers?"

*appears in doorway with wrench and WD-40 in hand* "I consider that a personal insult."

Who has the weirdest hobby?

Derek has sundry off-brand hobbies, including but not limited to mountain climbing, cliff diving, and using his knives as fidget toys.

Who cooks and who cleans up?

Since both parties are passably accomplished cooks, they both take their turn at the meal preparation. By tactic agreement and the universal demand for fairness, whoever makes the mess has to clean it up.

Which one hogs the blanket?

Aílean is a hogger to the point that Derek gets himself a personal blanket after a while.

Which one cuts the other's hair?

Derek: "Listen, if you want to save money on your hair stylist appointments I could just do it for you."

Aílean: "We're not that broke and what makes you think I would let you get a pair of scissors within twelve inches of my hair??"

Derek: "I've seen how she does it. I could do it."

Aílean: "Hair is not like a set of plumbing pipes, Derek Kenhelm. You can't just start over again if you mess up!"

Derek: "I cut my own hair and have you ever seen a lock out of place? No?"

He wears her down and gets her to let him try and he does a shockingly good job but she still insists on visiting the stylist most times.

And yes, Derek cuts his own hair so Aílean has never touched it.

Which one makes coffee for the other every morning?

Derek is always up first so he puts a pot on and then Aílean pours her own later. Derek himself drinks coffee only now and then.

Which one picks up the pizza?

Bold of you to assume they don't by default drive down to the place together with the windows down and sunglasses on and all dressed up because come on what's a pizza night if you don't do it in style

Which one likes their music on full volume?

Aílean. Derek doesn't like loud noises obscuring other, crucial sensory input in his surroundings. The only exception is when he's in the middle of a project that demands absolute focus and he wants to obscure all other input.

Which one complains about the crumbs on the bed?

Regardless of which one was responsible for the crumbs, both of them. Then they both have an argument over who cleans it up and end by jointly cleaning it, still arguing.

Which one is ticklish?

Derek claims not to be ticklish and it's mostly true. Aílean is highly ticklish all over.

Which one sings and which one plays the music?

Yes.

Derek has a nice upper baritone and can sing on occasion and in the mood. Pretty sure that in modern AU he would also play guitar.

Aílean sings when Derek plays, though unlike him she sings less often by herself. Derek would try to teach her guitar, but she would prefer piano and be a moderately good accompanist on it.

Which one proposes?

I have no idea how the proposal even plays out yet because there is great potential for things to change from the original version. So. This question is rejected till further notice.
