Vanessa Baxter Daniels didn't know where she fit in society.

First you have the basics, the regular human civilians that spent their time at work or school, scheduling dinner plans and coming home in the a.m. from parties. Then you had your billionaires — Tony Stark — then you had your everyday heroes. The Avengers. They had all gone their separate ways but the entire world praised them for their unique abilities and neat skill set that the basic humans didn't possess.

Vanessa didn't consider herself a hero — not yet anyway.

The death of her sister, Olivia, brought pain and suffering upon the split household of the Baxter and Daniels. Mother and father left, sister died, the other sister missing which left Vanessa to live with her grandmother. But, sneaking out of the house once in a while to use her special abilities, which Vanessa called a curse, might have some New Yorkers calling her a hero.

But who is Vanessa? Just a regular high school girl, trying to balance the academic decathlon with telekinetic abilities — along with trying to find out Peter Parker's small secret as to why he drops extra curricular activities and shows to school with bruises on his jawline. A run into New York's vigilante, Spider-Man ( and even becoming his not yet official sidekick ), has Vanessa questioning her hero job and her place in society of heroes and villains.

She will be known as Venus.
