"Jimmy! D-Don't you remember what dad said about t-trying to leave?" Asked the frightened sounding voice of a very small looking boy. Tightly gripping onto his brother's hand.

Jimmy did not look back at the much smaller boy that he was dragging behind him. "Yes, Gregory I know what he said! That's why we had to leave!" Jimmy hissed quietly.

Gregory shivered from the cool breeze that whipped by him, he gripped onto Jimmy's hand. "Wh-Why'd mama h-have to leave?" The younger boy choked out.

"I already told you! Dad killed her! Now shut up and keep up!"

"WHERE THE HELL DID YOU BOTH GO!"

Gregory looked back behind them. "I-It's him!"

Jimmy clutched onto his brothers hand and ran. "Quick!" He whisper yelled.

The two quickly ran through the misty forest. The sounds of an angry sounding man closing nearer and nearer.

"I SWEAR WHEN I CATCH YOU BOTH I'LL SLIT YOUR DAMN THROATS!"

Gregory continued running, managing to keep up with Jimmy's fast running speed only because his brother was gripping onto his hand.

Jimmy continued running, refusing to look back to see how close the old man was. He refused to give up. Just a little longer until the city, then they could run and get help.

Thats how it was supposed to go at least.

Time Skip
Johnny Ghost walked down the street to his apartment. He wiped his eyes once again, finding them to be slowly flooding with tears after he walked out of David's home.

He had had enough of David! The guy couldn't seem to keep his hands to himself, and he sure as hell didn't have a censor from his brain to his mouth.

Ghost opened the door to his apartment and walked inside, slamming the door shut. He sunk against the door and onto the floor, quietly shaking and letting silent tears run down his face and onto the carpeted floor. This is why he never moved in with anyone until he was sure they wouldn't hurt him. David was just another person Ghost had to do it to.

Finally, Ghost wiped his eyes again, staring down at the ugly colored floor. Lord, he hated how gloomy his place was. It all was grey.

"Psh... you're such a cry baby. All he did was cheat on you. I kinda liked him too!"

That insane voice in his head spoke. It spoke only lies. The voice in Ghost's head was his polar opposite, whatever he didn't like, the voice did. It drove him crazy!

"Shut up... you don't have any say in my life." Ghost muttered back.

"Wanna bet you big baby?"

With hesitation, the brown haired man stood back up and turned on the lights in his apartment. His apartment was small. Probably for 2 people, maybe four or five at max and maximum max.

Ghost walked upstairs to his bedroom. White shirts and use-to-be white shirts were all jumbled into a pile in the corner of his room, with the bed unmade and the blinds to the windows drawn shut.

Lazily, Ghost waddled over to his bed and flopped down on it, staring up at the ceiling. Life got so hard, almost insufferably boring. Why was he even still living? He hardly even remembered where he came from or who his parents were. He faintly remembered he had a brother, but he couldn't tell.

With nothing else left to do, Ghost shut his eyes and fell asleep. Hoping. Praying. That David wouldn't bother him again after he had finally walked out.

Time skip = Next day
Ghost's praying the other day before he fell asleep and awoke the next morning did nothing.

David had found Ghost and had been tailing him everywhere he went, as if Ghost hadn't screamed in his face that they were over the other day.

Severely annoyed, Ghost finally snapped toward David. "Why are you still following me!" He shouted, outraged. Eyes looked in their direction but Ghost could care less.

"You should stab stab stab him to death! Teach him a lesson Ghosty~!"

David looked taken aback, but his face instantly grew angry looking. "The hell do you mean? You're my boyfriend!"

"No the hell I'm not! I ain't someone you can toss around like the dozens of other girls you have!"

"But some of those girls really liked you. It's a shame that you've gone ahead and broken their hearts."

"Damn it! I made you who you are Johnny!"

"GET AWAY FROM ME!" Ghost screamed at the top of his lungs. "I TOLD YOU THAT WE WERE OVER!"

David looked beyond ticked. He drew back to strike Ghost.

Filled with panic, Ghost raised his arms to brace himself for a painful punch, shutting his eyes when he did so.

"What are you doing?! If he punches you, you get to punch back!"

Another moment. The strike never came.

Daring the sun, Ghost cracked open one eye, only to that another man had stepped into the picture.

The voice in his head fell silent.

This other man was tall, had jet black hair and bright blue eyes. And lord above he was gorgeous. Stunning really. The black vest suit completed it too.

The other man had ahold of David's arm and had drew David's arm back so the strike would never have reached Ghost.

In a smooth action, the taller man pushed David away, stepping in between the two.

David stumbled back.

Once gaining his footing back, he glared, cold eyed at the black haired man. "Oi! Who do you think you are?"

"A person who doesn't assault others." He shot back. His tone clearly showing that he was British. "How about you bugger off mate. I beleive this nice man asked you to get away." He gestured back to Ghost.

Ghost saw David give him a harsh glare before turning and storming off in another direction.

Once the Brit was sure David was gone and wouldn't come back, he turned to Ghost. "Are you alright?" He asked, his tone almost instantly soothing.

Johnny swallowed a lump forming in the back of his throat so he could speak. But he wasn't sure what to speak. This man had straight up stood up for a stranger and to a bully. He hadn't even met this man before.

Hesitantly, Ghost gave a nod. "Yeah... yeah I'm fine." The shorter male looked back to where David had disappeared to, before back up to the taller Brit. "Why... why would you do that?"

Confusion flashed in the black haired man's bright blue eyes. "That other man was going to strike you sir. I wasn't going to stand by and watch that happen."

Ghost took a moment and thought that over. The brit protected him because he felt the need to? "I-I..." Ghost choked out. "Th-Thank you."

The taller man smiled, before his eyes lit up. "Oh! I'm Johnny Toast by the way!"

Ghost smiled. For a man that managed to deflect a punch from a much bigger one, Toast seemed way to energetic. "Heh... I'm Johnny Ghost."

Like a child with a new action figure, Toast smiled brightly. "You and I have the same first name. That's pretty cool! Hey, you don't by chance like ghosts do you?"

"U-Uh... actually, I run a mini business that involves chasing out entity's from people's homes." Ghost hesitated on telling the brit that.

"Wait. Are you actually for real? I ment that as a joke!" Toast said, sounding shocked and yet, amazed at the same time.

Ghost nodded. He thought that Johnny would think of him as a weirdo now. But his expression said otherwise.

"Oh my lord I love the paranormal! We've got to hang out sometime! Er-" Toast backed up on his words for a second. "We don't have to if you don't want to! I just think it'd be... pretty cool!" He quickly finished.

Ghost felt himself smile, his insides were churning with a weird feeling, but it felt good. "Yeah, sure. We can hang out."

"Really? Awesome! Here." Toast reached into an inside pocket in his vest and pulled out a piece of paper, handing it to Ghost.

Ghost took it.

"My cell number is on that. Just shoot me a text with your name and I'll add you to my contact list. Then we can set up a time to meet up someday." Toast said cheerfully.

Ghost carefully tucked the paper into his sleeve, nodding. "A-Alright so... see you around?"

Toast gave Ghost that warm, cheerful smile. "Indeed." He turned and headed off on his way.

Ghost returned to his apartment, practically swimming in joy. He found that he couldn't really sleep at all. And for the first time in a long time, Ghost could see proper color around his apartment.

The voice hadn't even come back to bug him that night.
