Lee Know's heart dropped. And shattered.

Felix had Yun in his arms. There was blood all over her beautiful face. He could not pull his eyes away. He could not breath, blink, or talk. He wasn't even sure if his heart was beating.

Her attacker had reopened the wound on her already blind eye. He had never seen her without her eyepatch before, but he couldn't care less in this moment.

Whoever had touched her would suffer a very slow, painful death.

She was convulsing. Seungmin and Han placed her on the bed beside Lee Know's and checked for broken bones. After a quick scan,  they started wrapping a bandage around her face before gently moving her onto her stomach.

There was a wound in her back, located almost exactly at her heart.

Lee Know forced himself to stand up and went over to her, despite the protests from his body.

NO, his brain screamed.

He shook all over, not even realizing that he was shouting random bursts of words.

Changbin slapped him, making him sober up. "Minho, you're making the medics panic. Stop."

"How can I stop when Yun–"

"You will stop so we can properly treat Yun. Please," he added softly.

Lee Know took deep three breaths before responding. His hands stopped shaking. "Okay. Fine."

Felix was plugging wires from the machines into her as Seungmin tried to stop the blood from flowing out. The two worked together in frantic harmony. Han forced all the other members out so that they had room to work.

"Minho, please leave."

"No," he said, and Han knew better than to argue.

He gave a tense nod. "Then, please do not distract us or interact with us in any way. Stay seated in the corner." Lee Know followed instructions without a single word of protest.

Seungmin cut a slit down her shirt, baring her skin. Lee Know's breath hitched in his throat.

I should've told her I loved her, I should've hugged her more, I should've given her more attention, I should've forced her to stay with me, I should've–

He looked down at the floor and saw a tiny puddle. Wiping at his face, he realized that he was crying. He hadn't cried since the first day he was sold into slavery.

Lee Know never cried, but he would bring down the thunderclouds for Yun-Yeong Kim to stay.

They had been working for hours and hours.

Her condition was unstable, then stable, and then unstable again. The three medics were exhausted. Felix was shaking from hunger, and Seungmin forced him to stop so that he could quickly eat. Han worked without a single break, appearing fine, but his shaking hands told a different story.

Finally, Seungmin announced her condition had been stable for a solid sixty minutes.

Lee Know collapsed onto his knees. "Yun, please," he begged.

Everybody but Felix left. Seungmin and Han would take turns keeping an eye on Yun after they crashed and took a quick nap.

Felix took one look at Lee Know kneeling beside Yun's bed and left the room to give him privacy.

"Yeong-ie," he whispered. "You promised me you would stay for as long as I wanted you to stay. And I want – no, need – you to stay. Please," he begged the universe, "please survive."

But as a week passed, then two, then three, all the members lost hope.

As more time passed, the medics offered to make it easy and pull the lifeline, so that she would die a quick and painless death.

"NO," Lee Know yelled immediately. "I will not – never – give up on her."

A part of him knew he was being selfish by not letting her go peacefully, but he knew, deep down in his soul, that she would survive. He stayed by her side day and night, holding her hand like she held his.

"Yun-Yeong, my brave hero," he whispered every night. "Please wake up."

But she continued to sleep.

"So, you lived," Lee Know's icy voice murmured. He stared at the man who stabbed Yun, who was able to escape the base during the chaos.

The man whimpered into his gag. The moment Lee Know tracked him down, he knocked the man unconscious and tied him up in an abandoned house far, far away from the city.

He gave the man a tilted, insane smile. "Do you know what you did?" he whispered, as he pulled out his knife. He began to spin the knife between his fingers.

The man shook his head as tears streamed down his face. Lee Know sliced the gag in a blink of an eye, not even nicking the man.

"No, no, sir, I – I swear I didn't do anything!" he begged.

"Oh, you did something. You nearly killed the love of my life, and she remains in a coma. For that, I'm going to have a lot of fun with you."

He felt like an out of control animal. Stalking forward, he grabbed the man's neck, choking him. Slowly, he stabbed both of the man's eyes, leaving him completely blind.

The man screamed and cried, thrashing. But the ropes were too tight, and as Lee Know squeezed his throat tighter, he ran out of oxygen to breathe with.

Finally, Lee Know took out his gun. He pressed the gun into the man's forehead.

The man shook all over. Blood dripped from his eyes all over his clothes. He knew beter than to beg for his life. He was at the mafia leader's mercy now.

"Death would be too easy. I hope you suffer."

Lee Know tilted the gun down and shot both the man's legs and an arm. He howled in pain. Lee Know grabbed his knife and sliced the ropes, allowing the man to fall over.

The man crawled away, blind.

So my first week of school is over! It was nice seeing all my friends again and I love my schedule. How have you guys been?
