TWO;

Dawn was known to wander off, he was basically a child; easily distracted. He found himself in an unknown area, close to a random gas station and a park.He didn't know what to do, he had left his phone at home, because it was dead. He stayed up playing on it, that it died and he was too lazy to charge it.With pouty lips and watery eyes, he went over to the small park, sitting down, near a tree, using it as a backrest and bring his knees up his chest. He didn't have much of a plan to get out of this.

What the small boy didn't know was the place Rhett and Hawke lived wasn't too far from where Dawn was. Hawke was looking around for twigs and leaves to start up the fireplace. Thinking he was alone, he had his mask off. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a pair of footprints, learning from the best tracker he knew he decided to follow them. He was lead to a tree and noticed the small male under the tree. He immediately put his mask back on his face. He definitely didn't want to hurt the innocent male. Then he realized that Dawn was indeed alone.

He bent down in front of Dawn, "Hey... is everything alright?" he asked lowly.

Dawn's eyes met his, "m' l- lost." He mumbled, a pout growing more on his lips.

'Hmm," he said, thinking. He offered his hands so he could help him up. Hesitant, but still grabbed a hold of  Hawke's hands. He pulled the male up to his feet.

"Don't worry, we'll find your way back," he said, voice still low but his words were reassuring.

"Do you live in the city? Or in town?" he asked looking down at Dawn, his hazel colored eyes gleaming in the sun.

"C- City." Dawn mumbled, wrapping his arm around Hawke's, without thinking.

"Hm, shit..." he said. He let Dawn hold onto him.

"Alright, we need to stop by my house really quick and I'll drive us down town..." he says leading him down towards a path in the woods.

"Wait..." he said allowed, stopping.

"I'm Hawke...how rude of me..." he sighed looking at Dawn.

Dawn smiled softly, "y- you said b- bad wor-word. M' D- Dawn." He said, trying hard not to stutter, but it never worked. He looked down at his feet."S- S- S- Sorry, I um, s- s- s-," Dawn gave up, S sounds were the hardest for him to say.

Hawke felt a smile aching to come out but behind the mask he bit down on his lip.

"I'll work on that..." he placed a hand on the male's back and continued off down the pathway.

It was a short jaunt through the woods but there was a cabin at the end of the path. There was a truck in the drive and Hawk lead them up to the steps of the cabin. He unlocked the door and inside felt so nice and homey. He went into the kitchen and grabbed the keys hanging on the hook.

Rhett would kill him for using up gas without him knowing but he didn't care. He reconnected with Dawn who was looking around the cabin, he held onto his arm again and lead him outside locking the door. He pressed the unlock button on the truck and opened the passenger door and grabbed Dawn by his waist and hoisted him into the air, placing him in the truck. He went around to the other side and got in. The engine roared to life, Hawke now waiting for the male to put on his seat belt. After the click of the seat belt locking into place he put the truck in reverse and pulled out.

"I saw you in the market yesterday... was he your brother, the guy you were with?" he asked, driving.

Dawn giggled, "n- no, h- he is my onl- only frie- friend."

Hawke looked over at Dawn. He nodded, "Nothin wrong with that..." he says.

"W- What about y- you and that g- guy?" Dawn asked.

"My only friend too..." He looked back at the road, "But hey... I guess I'm your friend too huh?" He wanted to give emotion to that so much, but emotions lead to feelings and feelings lead to happiness.

Dawn nodded, "y-yes, um, l-left turn," Dawn looked down, "most pe-people hate my s- s-, ugh pr- problem."

He slowed to a stop and proceeded to turn left. "I see no problem, but character... personality if you will." "That's something I lack..." he sighed. "Keep going straight?" He asked coming to a stop sign.

Dawn nodded, "th- three houses do- down." He said.

Dawn sighed to himself, he missed being able to talk properly, but he couldn't anymore. When he was younger, he talked a lot of the time, almost all of it. He was about four when his mother got tired of hearing him talk, so every time Dawn got on her nerves, she'd hit him in the head. He never really understood why he was being hurt, so he just keep talking. His mother noticed that Dawn started to stutter when she raise her hand to hit him, so she kept doing it. Finally, she got what she wanted. Dawn could no longer speak normal, making him not speak at all and when he did, kids made fun of him. Even throughout high school he was made fun of, for not speaking this time. That was until Eden came along one day, almost like destiny. He listened to Dawn talk, even when Dawn didn't want to. When Dawn tried to give up in his sentence, Eden encouraged him to keep going. So Dawn told Eden what happened and why he stuttered. Eden's eyes soared to a flaming fire, "live with me." He spoke, his voice lower then normal. Dawn thought about it, before nodding in agreement. With Eden he didn't stutter as much, he trusted the male with everything. Eden kept him safe and protected. Which is why it was no surprise when they pulled into the driveway, Eden raced out the house with a worried look on his face.

Hawke immediately stopped the truck and unlocked the door so Eden could get Dawn out. "He wandered pretty far... I found him in town at Tobison park..." he voiced why the male was with him in the first. He watched as a worried Eden helped down down out of the truck.

"Thank you, I got so worried when I didn't seem him in the yard. I was so afraid someone took him." Eden said, pulling Dawn close to him. "People admire elves a little too much." Eden explained.

He wanted to chuckle so much but he knew he couldn't. Instead he said with reassuring eyes, "I can't imagine ever wanting to do that."

That's when his phone started buzzing, alerting him that Rhett was home from hunting. "Well, please don't be strangers. Rhett and I live literally behind the park... but I have to go."

He got into the truck once again, and with a single wave he pulled out of the drive. Far away from them, he removed his mask. With no interaction, he didn't have to restrain his emotions. He drove in silence until he got to the back road that lead to the cabin. Reaching the house, he got out and walked into the house. Putting the key in its rightful place because Hawke like keeping their living space clean.

Rhett was the only one who worked of the two, which keeping the house and dinner on the table was the least he could do. Starting the fire with the logs and shrubs he already had, the front door opened. Confidently knowing it was Rhett. He stood to his feet, upon seeing the male he smiled. Through the blood pouring down his chest from his hunt he still smiled.

"The looks of a boa but the hunger of a anaconda right?" Hawke teased.

Rhett shrugged it off with a grin on his face. "I'll shower and then I'll give you attention," he says and walked to go the bathroom.

Dawn spent the day watching t.v. with Eden, who was happily braiding his hair. Dawn was humming to himself as he watched the screen. "H- Hawke asked if we we- were dat- dating." "And?" Eden questioned. "I said n- no, but I didn't wa- want to." Dawn admitted.

While Rhett was taking a shower Hawke stepped outside and saw a large buck laying on the ground. "I swear his eyes are bigger than his stomach," he chuckled, grabbing the animal by the antlers and dragging it into the back. He walked into the garage, grabbing some supplies to butcher up the animal.

With the sleeve of sharp weapons under his arm he laid a blanket down on the ground. Setting the supplies to the side, he flipped the buck over onto the blanket. Before ripping the animal open he inspected it. Rhett had certainly did a number on it, the ribs were crushed nearly to dust. As far as he could tell there weren't any bite marks so that was good.

About ten minutes later the tall brunette male walked out the house, shirtless and smelling like a playboy fantasy. He saw the bloodbath in front of him.

"Holy shit Hawke..." he laughed looking at the male that was on the ground, his clothes soiled with red.

Hawke looked up at him, "You aren't gonna do it."

"I could have..." Rhett crossed his arms, his throat clicking.

"Don't rattle at me, we both know you get frustrated easily. Besides I would like the venison cut right tonight."

Rhett rolled his eyes, sticking out his forked tongue.

The conversation between Dawn and Eden didn't go much further when Dawn fell asleep, using Eden's body as a pillow. A faint smile on Eden's face, "I want it to be more too, baby."
