TEN;

Eden smirked, "Didn't want you to miss me too much." He spoke, his voice dipping in a lower tone.

Rhett's jaw clenched and he licked against the inside of his teeth and stood up straight. He made a low hmph sound and walked off towards where Dawn was.

"Hey Dawnsy," he called after the little male.

Dawn hopped down from the swings, rushing over to Rhett, "H - hi!" He said hugging Rhett, tightly.

Rhett grinned and pulled the little elf upward by his hips, holding him into the air with complete ease. He twirled him around hugging him back before setting him back down on his feet.

"How's my favorite doing today?" He asked leaning down on the ground.

"Y - Y - You mean Hawkie?" Dawn asked, looking back at the male in his mask, who still stood my the swing.

He shook his head. "I meant you bud, I see him all the time."

Behind Dawn, Hawke rolled his eyes and shook his head at Rhett's response. Rhett looked at Hawke and bit his lip.

"Y'all ate anything yet?"

"Swear, always hungry..." Hawke said.

"M' h - h - hungry." Dawn said, snuggling into Rhett's side.

Rhett rubbed Dawn's back and looked at Eden and Hawke. "What are you guys up for?"

"Doesn't matter really, but Dawnie loves anything chicken." Eden said.

Rhett stood up to his feet and looked at the group. "Sounds good to me," he says looking at Dawn.

He then looked at Hawke, "You wanna drive?"

Hawke shook his head and Rhett sighed. "Fine."

Dawn got up, going back over to Eden, holding onto him. "Yay!" Dawn said, jumping happily at the sound of food.

They all made their way to Rhett's car and got in.

Dawn got into the truck, climbing into Hawkie's lap, happily humming. "Wans c - c - chicken."

Hawke gulped, considering the fact that Dawn was dangerously close to his lower region.

"Mmf, safety first..." he grunted setting the elf down on the seat next to him.

Rhett noticed the change in Hawke's voice and he looked back at the two; Hawke who was gripping the seats and Dawn who was pouting on the other side behind Eden.

"You two good back there?"

Dawn didn't answer instead he pouted and looked out the window.

"Alright you two, behave now. I don't wanna have to pull this vehicle over."

Hawke unbuckled and gripped a patch of Rhett's hair, tugging it backwards.

"Hawke... sit back..." Rhett warned, his fork tongue peaking out. That throaty click making an appearance again.

Hawke knew what he was doing and so did Rhett. So Rhett reached backwards and gripped the male's neck. Making another grunt escape from the male in the mask. Hawke immediately let go and sat back down.

Rhett eyed him out from the rearview memory. He shook his head.

He then looked at Eden and pulled out of the parking spot, "See what I gotta deal with?" He asked.

"Someone doesn't like being told what to do, does he?" Eden asked, eyeing Hawke, before returning his eyes back to the road, watching houses pass by.

Hawke glared in the male's direction. He then turned his attention to Dawn, his frustration immediately vanished. He laid his head against the seat and watched the still pouting male.

All the while Rhett looked at Eden every now and again. He bit down on his lip, not meaning to do it for once. However his mind said a whole other story.

Dawn giggled to himself, his ears wiggling slightly, making everyone confused, but Eden knew why. Not saying anything at all.

Hawke watched the male, loving the giggle. Rhett confused as all get out, was snatched from his mind from the elf's giggles. He returned his attention to the road before turning into the next lane.

Dawn looked around, his eyes landing on Hawke's hand, before grabbing it and playing with his fingers. "B - B - Big." Dawn said, holding his hand against Hawke's to show the size difference.

Like a reflex, Hawke's fingers went in between Dawn's intertwining them. After a few seconds he realized how strong he was coming off as and he let go hoping he didn't make Dawn uncomfortable.

"I'm sorry..." he whispered.

Dawn tilted his head, "H - hold, it's o - okay."

Hawke connected their fingers again and scooted closer to the male. He nodded, "Thanks."

Dawn giggled, leaning against the male's shoulder, "No n - n - need to t - thank."

Hawke's cheeks now burning from the restrain of smiling from how happy Dawn made him.

Upon getting to the restaurant Hawke walked around to Dawn's side helping the small elf out. They two of them ran into the restaurant leaving Rhett and Eden.

"Need me to help you down too?" Rhett teased, biting his lip.

"You play grab ass too much." Eden said, opening his door and rolling his eyes.

He huffed and stepped back, letting Eden have room to get out. Rhett walked into the restaurant without another word. He eyed the two male's in the half circular booth. Hawke was ticking Dawn, who was trying to swat him away.  Rhett shook his head and sat down.

Hawke looked at Rhett then watched Eden sit down, "What's up?" He asked.

Rhett shook his head, looking at the menu.

Dawn noticed the mood change, making his mood change as well. "W - W - W - What's w - w - w - w - wrong?" Dawn's stutter becoming slightly worse.

Hawke looked at Eden, then at Rhett. Knowing that Rhett was always one to be a little hot headed at times.

Rhett looked up as everyone at the table now had their eyes on him. He rubbed through his hair and spoke, "I'm jussst being a knuckle head, that's-sss all." He sighed at his lisp and looked at the elf apologetically.

Dawn climbed over Hawke's lap, to sit next to Rhett, squeezing between the two with his much smaller frame. Dawn's hand reached up and begain to comb through Rhett's hair.

"W - W - When I get ups - upset, h - head rubs ma - make me feel be - better." Dawn said, now rubbing the male's scalp gently.

As if the male had never been touched before, he melted into the feeling. Perhaps the lack of a nurturing figure in his life, sure Hawke filled that void. Just something about Dawn's caring really did a number on everyone sitting at the table.

"Thanks-ss-s," he said, starting to laugh at himself.

Dawn smiled, pressing a kiss to his cheek, before climbing back over Hawke to his original spot.

Leaving Rhett wide-eyed. Hawke returned his gaze to Rhett, in attempt to not to get thrown into a laugh fit he covered his mouth.

Then it finally set on the two male's that Hawke wouldn't be able to eat without removing the mask...

Eden and Dawn started to talk about what Dawn would want to eat, not noticing the distress looks between the other two males.

Hawke stood up and stepped over Rhett, who then grabbed the male's wrist.

"Just stay with them... I'll be fine."

Rhett looked at him, not letting him go.

He managed to release his hand from Rhett's grip and he walked out the door.

Rhett got up and went after him.

Dawn followed as well, which made Eden get up, all of them leaving their table.

Dawn went out the door, seeing Rhett and Hawke talking. Hawke looked upset and sad, before Dawn could walk over, Eden held his shoulder.

"Dawnie, do you know why he is sad?" Eden asked, making Dawn shrug.

"You know how some things are gifts and other are curse? Well Hawke has a curse."

Dawn looked at Eden, "w - we can show h - him it's n - n - not."

"I don't think we could do that, he probably won't ever see it as one." Eden admitted.

Dawn shook his head, "I re - refuse to b - b - believe that."

"If anyone could make him believe it, it would be you." Eden said, ruffling the male's hair, making Dawn smile widely, "now go work your magic."
