Jace's Pov:

I can't believe that they took her side over mine!

I'm their son and yet they chose to believe a stranger over me?!

Feeling angry, I headed up the stairs and headed straight to the workout room. River, Artemis, Ryan, Xavier, Cole, Marie, and Ryleigh were already there talking and laughing as they lifted weights, threw daggers, and ran around the indoor track.

I headed over to the punching bag, and wrapped my wrists in the special tape, before putting on the boxing gloves. Looking out of the corner of my eyes, I noticed how Artemis made an effort not to make eye contact with me.

Good, she remembers who is going to be the next leader of this gang.

Getting into position, I took a deep breath and let my fists fly hitting the bag with accuracy every time. Ryan, Xavier, and the rest of the guys came over and sat down a few feet away from the danger area.

" Dude what happened?", Ryan asked as he put his baseball cap on backward. 

" Is she cute?"- Xavier commented.

I growled in frustration and turned around to face them

" Mom and Dad took her side per usual, and no she is not cute! She is annoying as hell!", I responded.

Artemis came over and pulled up a picture of the girl.

Xavier whistled, Ryan smiled, while Cole being his cold and emotionless self didn't react.

" Guys, let's welcome her to the familia!", Ryleigh exclaimed as she joined us, pressing a kiss to Xavier's cheek which caused Ryan her twin, to shudder.
