Rin Belanova has been brought up in the Red Room for as long as she can remember. She has never been a human, always a weapon. This remains true even when she's kidnapped on an assignment, taken to a lab, where she was taken apart and put back together again. It's only after she's been rescued that she realizes she doesn't know her place in the world anymore.

She's a new person, with new gifts, and there is no one forcing her to kill or be killed.

Enter the Academy. Rarely ever does the private organization ever take on the rehabilitation of gifted and dangerous people, but in Rin's case, they may be her only hope. If she doesn't find answers, if she doesn't prove herself as an asset to the world, she may be locked away or worse forever.

The boys aren't fond of babysitting a gifted assassin, but they haven't got much of a choice in it. Besides, if they won't help her, who else will?

While this is a bit of a crossover with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and Marvel, you do not need to really have seen either of those to have an understanding of this work. I will provide any details necessary. However, if you have seen AOS or any MCU works, this takes place between the first Avengers and second Avengers movie. There will be more detail about how the Academy works with S.H.I.E.L.D. if that seems murky for a bit.

Also, considering making this a RH14, as there are aspects that I think the Toma team could lend. While this is my current plan, I'd like to know your opinion on it. And this is also my first work in which an original character will be ending up with the Blackbourne team. As much as I love Sang, she didn't seem to work for this and I had a particular vision in my head. I think the new dynamic will be interesting.
