phew, guys we reached the end of the first part! i just want to thank you all for reading this story and loving it as much as i do. honestly this was so much fun to write and i can not wait to see endgame so i can try and get my characters involved! 

so throughout this story i asked people if they had any questions they'd like to ask. i only got one but ngl it was super fun to answer!

arty_writes 'you mentioned you named them all after historical figures - and for certain reasons. are there any names you almost used but didn't?'

oh damn good question. there were quite a few that i thought about using. one of them was pythia - this was the oracle that could predict the future, but her prophecies were very vague so that even if you interpreted it one way and all didn't work out it still could be interpreted another way. the emperor nero spoke to her about his future and when he was displeased with what he heard, he had her burned alive. i thought it would've been cool to have a character with future visions who once was a part of Libertas who joined Thanos' side - and i probably would've given her the same fate as her historical counterpart - but by the time i thought of her it was too late to integrate her in and so i never explored the character. 

i also thought about naming one after boudicca. she was going to be a fierce red head whose family were all killed by thanos/the black order, and like octavian she was going to be focused on taking thanos down. boudicca was the wife of the leader of the iceeni tribe in the era of nero in britain, and he caused a revolt there when he raised the taxes. this ultimately led to the deaths of her family, and she eventually was killed by the roman soldiers. i decided against it though when i decided that i could only have 4 characters for the sake of my sanity ahahaha. 

also if this was based on greek characters i definitely would have had one named kassandra. she was an oracle but cursed so no one would ever believe her prophecies. i think that would've been an interesting route to take.

fun facts:
-the kiss scene between curio and octavian was lowkey inspired by the it crowd
-as i was writing the deleted scenes/specials i had an idea for a high school au and oh my good god it would be amazing
-originally tony was just going to be a character from the main universe but i figured it would make more sense for more characters to have impacted libertas' lives so i had the idea of having tony as messalina's bff and honestly i do not regret it one bit
-the christmas chapter made me feel so happy to write
