Resurgence
Darkness wrapped around Yamari, muffling her senses. Time felt suspended, each second stretching into eternity. Slowly, a voice pierced through the void, distant and muffled.
"Yamari... wake up," it urged, soft but insistent.
Her eyes fluttered open to a blurred scene of chaos. The bookshelf lay in shambles around her, books scattered like fallen leaves. Pain lanced through her body as she tried to move.
Benjamin's voice reached her again. "Yamari, get up! Now's not the time to sleep!"
Her gaze shifted, and she saw him—Benjamin, glowing faintly with a golden hue, standing in the midst of the wreckage. He was free now, his body shimmering with restrained energy, his fists clenched tightly.
"You're tougher than this," Benjamin said, his tone commanding. "You've survived worse."
The room swirled back into focus, and Yamari's mind snapped to attention. She saw Maveen hovering near the center of the room, her rabbit-like ears twitching, her gaze focused on Benjamin. Karma stood behind her, dazed and silent, as though caught in some invisible web.
"You're persistent, I'll give you that," Maveen sneered, her voice carrying a tinge of amusement. "But what do you think you'll accomplish, Benjamin? Your little princess is broken."
Benjamin turned to Yamari, his voice lowering to something almost tender. "You're not broken, Yamari. Not yet. Get up. You're stronger than this."
Strength flickered within her, spurred by his words. She pushed herself up, her muscles screaming in protest. Her hands trembled as she braced herself against the wall, her mind racing to process everything.
"Maveen!" Yamari shouted, her voice hoarse but filled with defiance.
Maveen turned, her eyes narrowing. "Still have some fight in you?" she taunted. "How quaint."
"This isn't about you and Karma!" Yamari yelled, forcing herself to stand tall despite the pain. "It's about control, isn't it? You hate my family because we remind you of what you don't have—freedom."
The words struck a nerve. Maveen's glowing ears flattened, and her wings fluttered agitatedly.
"Don't presume to know me!" Maveen snapped, her voice reverberating through the room.
"Then stop acting like a tyrant!" Yamari shot back. "You say you hate royals, but here you are, ruling over others with fear and power!"
Maveen's expression faltered for a moment, a flicker of something unrecognizable crossing her face. Then, with a growl, she unleashed another wave of energy, the pink explosion rippling toward Yamari.
"Your a dumb Princess, My people respect me and love me because of my strenght and Understanding, dont try to break apart my Council"
But this time, Yamari didn't cower. She ducked and rolled, narrowly avoiding the blast. Benjamin sprang into action, closing the distance between him and Maveen in an instant.
"You've had your fun," Benjamin said, his voice low and dangerous. "Now it's my turn."
With a burst of golden light, Benjamin struck at Maveen, his fists connecting with her energy shield. The room shook with the force of their clash, the walls cracking under the pressure.
Yamari, still weak but determined, scanned the room for something—anything—that could help. Her eyes fell on Karma, who remained frozen in place, his expression vacant.
"Karma!" she called out, stumbling toward him.
He didn't respond, his eyes unfocused. Yamari reached out, grabbing his arm. "Wake up! You're not her puppet!"
Karma blinked, his gaze sharpening slightly. He looked down at Yamari, confusion flickering in his eyes.
"Yamari?" he murmured, his voice barely audible.
"Yes, it's me," she said, desperation coloring her tone. "We need you. I can't do this alone."
Something shifted in Karma's demeanor. His shoulders squared, and the haze in his eyes lifted.
"I'm here," he said firmly, stepping forward.
Maveen turned at the sound of his voice, her eyes widening. "Karma, no!"
But it was too late. Karma's energy flared to life, a deep crimson that clashed with Maveen's pink glow. He moved to stand beside Yamari, his presence a shield against Maveen's rage.
Together, they faced her, a united front against her overwhelming power but It was no use Maveen quickly swatted the trio like flies, over and over and, over and over, again till they had no choice but to give up they were all now thrown away In a weird basement area. They were locked up, defeated emotionally, and mental, the worst way to be defeated.
