Chapter 2 - Old Killers
Woolfster was stalking behind Laff, he kept a eye on him. As he felt the need too, as he betrayed his friends to please him. He caused pain out of his anger.
Woolf was glad that Laff couldn't see him, but Laff kept looking at his direction with glares. Could Laff see him?
"I see you." Laff snapped.
Woolf jumped in response, he raced outside his home. Going to tell Muffin on what he had discovered.
How could Laff see me?
Woolf wondered. Thinking hard as he was soaring, Woolf finally had a possible answer. As he thought of the conclusion, he had reached Muffin and Dino.
"Muffin!" Woolf howled. "I have important news!"
"What is it?" Muffin asked.
"Laff can see us!" Woolf informed. "You know how he always wears that gas-mask? I think the lenses on the mask let him see us!"
"What!?" Muffin shouted. "That's a reasonable answer, but we must take his mask!"
"We need a poltergeist for that!" Dino informed. "They are the only ones who can interact with objects in the real world!"
Poltergeist = A ghost who is also called the 'noisy ghost' due to them moving objects to make racket.
Usually knocks, taps ect.
"And who has that power?" Muffin asked. "I can't remember!"
"Tbh!" Dino exclaimed. "He always made music in his free time, that's his power."
"But we haven't revealed that to them yet!" Muffin complained.
"We have to!" Dino interjected. "It's the only way that our plan is gonna work!"
"Okay, we have to start training now."
Muffin agreed. "Get Tbh, Meme, Jooice, Socks, we have to tell them their types of power..."
Woolf was just standing there, with a confused look on his face. Dino looked at him with a understanding face, knowing that it must be confusing for him.
"Should I keep watch on Laff?" Woolf asked.
"I guess, but try to communicate with him." Muffin requested. "To test if he can hear us too."
Woolfster nodded. He quickly left, seeing Tbh flying by. Woolf made it to Laff's house, going through the wall. Laff was drinking tea, he saw Woolf at the corner of his eye.
"What do you want?" Laff asked.
"Can you hear me?"Woolf questioned.
Laff made a amused look at him.
"I can see you, can't I?"
"Ha!" Woolf chuckled. "Alright, so how's it been?"
Hopefully I can keep this act up.
"It's been...alright." Laff said. "It's been slightly different, ever since The Blood Moon came."
"Doesn't it only come evey 10 years?" Woolf questioned.
"Yeah, it does." Laff answered. "But I'm alright, how about you?"
"Good, not doing well tho." Woolf admitted. "Confused, but alright overall."
"Nice to know your doing well." Laff said. "Are you the only one here? Where's...the rest?"
"No, their here alright." Woolf chuckled. "It's just that they don't prefer coming here.
They hang around near where the party was held."
"I see..." Laff said, darkly. "Feels nice to talk to you again."
"Why did you need to kill us?" Woolf asked, out of the blue.
"Damn, alright." Laff said, surprised.
"I needed to fuel The Blood Moon. It only goes every 10 years because of me. When I was a kid, I had accidentally killed my friend. He had drowned, his name was Larry I think."
Laff explained.
"I felt this urgency to care and feed The Blood Moon. And it was the time to do that, and I needed more souls for the darkness it needed.
Every ten years, it need more then the amount taken the past decade."
Laff told.
"I need to collect 20 souls in the next decade."
Woolf dropped his ears, his tail stopped wagging.
Laff toke a sip of his remaining tea, and looked sternly at Woolf.
"Got a problem?" Laff asked.
"No, just a little surprised!" Woolf quickly replied. "Has anything changed within you?"
"Ah, yes." Laff began. "My eye's are green, instead of brown. And my eye's turn red every full moon."
"That's another reason why you didn't give me missions on those nights?"
"Mhm,"
Laff nodded. The white-outlined spirit dipped his read in false respect, and turned to leave.
"Follow me." Laff ordered
"Where we going?" Woolf asked.
"To the old party area , the-"
"Somewhere Only We Know."
Woolf was confused, but then quickly realized where they were headed. Their old base.
Somewhere Only We Know...
Laff started to climb down, and Woolster just fell through the floor.
"Ah!" Woolf screamed. "My bad! I keep forgetting..."
The Gas-Man chuckled, he had went in their old laboratory, and base. All their murder plans were still on the wall, and Woolf's injected substance was there still too.
"So many memories!" Laff rasped.
He went into a coughing fit, Woolf looked worried.
"Don't worry, I'm alright!"
"If you say so..."
The old partner in crime started to wonder deeper, and deeper into their old base. Finding fur everywhere, he found a picture him laughing with Laff was still on his old desk. He managed to grab it, Laff walked in, he was shocked to say the least.
"Didn't know you could do that!"
"Me either..."
Lost for words, Woolf dropped the picture. Glass shattered against the hard floor, Woolf flinched. He remembered that night where he made glass shatter, on purpose.
"Woolfster!" Laff scowled. "Your not a pup! How could you do that!? That was our photo..."
"I didn't mean too!" Woolf protested. "And I know you have the same picture at you're desk."
Woolf dropped his ears, Laff seemed upset for once. A tear drop fell onto the floor, Woolf looked up to see Laff made that. The Gas-Man looked away, tears were dripping outside his mask.
"You alright?"
"Yeah, Fine."
Reaching out for a piece of glass, Woolf heard a single sob coming from behind him. Laff was sitting on his chair, putting his elbow on his knee and resting his head on his hand.
"Somewhere Only We Know..." Laff repeated.
"Let's keep it that way." Woolf wanted. "Somewhere Only We Know..."
Laff smiled at Woolf's words, his old partner smiled back. They decided to climb, or fly, back up.
"Have you ever taken off your mask?" Woolf asked.
"Yes, when I sleep." Laff admitted. "Would you like for me to take it off?"
"Only, if your comfortable with it.
Laff nodded. He put his hands behind his head, opening the mask. Finally the mask was taken off, water splashed all over the floor. Woolf realized that Laff must been crying silently this whole time.
A man with a smooth face and beautiful brown locks appeared in front of Woolfster. Brown eye's were looking at his red and yellow X's.
Laff smiled slightly, then grabbed his mask.
"You look nice!" Woolf admitted.
How could he hide such beauty?
Woolf pondered.
"Hello?"
Laff put on his mask, and looked at Woolf.
"I didn't have my mask on,"Laff explained. "What did you say?
"You look nice!"
"Thanks,"
Woolf waved at Laff, he was leaving. They said their goodbyes, and yearned to see each other soon again.
"Woolf, anything you found out?" Muffin asked.
"Yes." Woolf agreed. "I saw his face, he isn't himself. He needed to kill us, to feed The Blood Moon. Apparently, we are very close now, he seems to be...different."
"You need to explain that all to me right after I help Meme." Muffin said. "He seems to be the one that doesn't have control of his power."
"Oh yeah, I broke a photo accidentally."
Muffin looked at Woolf with a face of approval.
No, I WON'T SHIP WOOLF AND LAFF. Don't you dare think about that >:((
