I think I finally found my thing as a writer. References and trope swaps. So prepare to see both of those from time to time :3.

Third POV

After their -sudden- response, they started to pack some stuff, as Lloyd and Jay went upstairs. They packed everything they could. Well, most of that stuff were armor and weapons like daggers, swords and shurikens, but they really didn't have many clothes. Even with stealing, Ignacia was still a rather small village and earning money wasn't an easy thing.
They were also hesitant to take their parents' stuff, but they didn't have any other choice.

Nya was holding back a bit of anger, but she couldn't hold it for long enough. "Kai, why are we doing this?" She took a brief pause before continuing. "You've raised me up with the phrase 'trust no one' and now you suddenly want to go on a journey across the whole country with two strangers!" She finally snapped.

Her brother could tell that she was more sad than angry, but he couldn't go back now. "Nya.." He sighed, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Look, things have changed now. I don't know how, but I trust those people. We should go with them. And please, try and be more friendly towards them." He crossed his arms on the last sentence, giving her the obvious 'apologize right now or else I'm putting you up for adoption' look.

"Oh really? Since when did my oh so overprotective brother become okay with some stranger calling me hot?" She raised her eyebrow. An awkward silence followed.

"I am not okay with that. But, he's a friend. I can learn to forgive, unlike you." He slightly smirked, waiting for his sister's reaction.

"Ugh, fine. You win. But you owe me one." She shrugged.

"You've got yourself a deal." They shook hands and headed back upstairs to meet the others.

"We're ready."

And with that, they started leaving the house, closing the shining lantern for the final time. Nighttime had fallen by now, making it really hard to see, as the only light source they had were flashlights and Jay's -small- lightning.

"So.. Do you like-" Jay went to say before the Nya cut him off.

"Don't bother to ask any questions I won't answer." She could feel her brother glaring at her and reminding her of his orders.

"And I'm sorry for before.." She rolled her eyes, with her big brother nodding in the background.

"Oh, uh, no! It's okay! Don't worry about it!" He quickly reassured her as she was starting to notice something.

"You're hiding your emotions. If you feel anger, let it out. I won't be offended." She advised him. Though he just nodded instead of 'letting out' any emotion at all.

"Sorry to interrupt your friendship development, but where are we exactly going?" Kai interrupted, grabbing the map from Lloyd's hands.

"Well, the Blade is far away from where we are.. But we can go for our closest weapon, which is.. The Scythe..." Lloyd slightly groaned, remembering his fear of caves from when he was younger.

"Okay, so, where is it?" Jay questioned.

"Well, we'll just have to pass by Ninjago City and then-" Lloyd got cut off, without getting to continue.

"Okay, so let me get this straight:" Kai put on a fake -panicked- smile. "You want us, wanted criminals, to go to the freaking capital of the whole country where they could possibly arrest us?!" Kai snapped, while his sister continued. "And where are we exactly going to stay? We can't sleep outside, it's too risky with cops patrolling around at night.."

"Well, it's not like you're going there to steal something, so as long as you keep your profile low and avoid the police, you should be fine." Lloyd informed them.

"And I might have a place for us to stay.." The three looked at Jay, who was grinning.

"Okay.." Lloyd put on a concerned face. "So, as I was saying, after we go there, we go to a nearby cave system. It says here that the weapon's located there. We just have to try and defeat the dragon and get out of there as soon as possible."

"Wait, so dragons exist? Like, actual dragons?" Nya enquired. "You have already defeated one in the past, as I assume." They both nodded.

"So what did you use? Swords, bows, daggers?"
Kai finished off with a question.

After their answer was pieces of marble, the siblings both face palmed. And it got even worse when they told them they didn't know how to actually use the weapons. "I guess it's gonna take some time." Kai sighed. "Let's just find a place to camp around here and then, we start training." Lloyd and Jay looked tired, but they weren't giving up now.

They walked for about ten minutes before finding a small forest. They found an opening that seemed perfect for them to camp. Well, it wasn't exactly camping considering they'd be sleeping on the grass, un-protected from pretty much anything.

"Let's do this."

"I brought her in" A female voice called, tightening the grip on the woman's arm. A familiar figure came out of the shadows, smirking.

"Good job. Tell me, how was your trip to Ninjago?" Garmadon patted the girl's head.

"Very well, father. But I saw something you wouldn't mind hearing about."

"And what is that?" Garmadon enquired.

"He has survived. They're looking for the weapons." She informed him, making the creature snap. "What do you mean he's alive?! He should be dead! Go! Find him! And bring him to me!" He stood there in shock as the female dropped the woman on the floor and followed her master's orders.

"As for you.." He smirked. "My lovely wife." He held the woman's chin up as she tried to back off.

"I am not your wife. And you are not my husband." She glared at the Oni- like creature.

"You're right. I guess we're all forced to make sins at some point. And you know about that very well, I assume." He lowered his head. "Abandoning her son and escaping to Ninjago just so she doesn't get hurt when her husband turns baddy-bad and takes over." He faked sadness as she lowered her head, begging him to stop.

"Tell me." He moved closer and brushed his hand against her bruised cheek. "How do you create the Realm Crystal? And don't bother lying. You were always good with history, after all."

She refused to tell anything. "Well, I suppose we'll do it the hard way then." He pulled a knife and held it against her throat, making her gasp. Her eyes were puffy, as she held back tears. "Now, let's try again. How. Do you make. The Realm Crystal?"

"Remember, your body and the weapon must be in perfect sync. Without balance, you'll never be able to learn. Oh and be careful of the lightning." Kai advised Jay, as he once again tried to 'master the art of nunchucks', as Kai called it. Though he couldn't help but chuckle, as Kai's speech reminded him of Wu.

The tutors were originally going to switch places, but since lightning was a big no-no for Nya and -much to Jay's disappointment- Kai being more comfortable training Jay by himself, Nya was teaching Lloyd the basics of sword fighting.

"Okay, when you swing the sword around, don't feel it like a weight. Feel it like you have a longer -sharper- arm. Feel it like it's part of your body. And don't be afraid to put force into it. If you need to stab someone's guts, do it." She grinned, holding the teen's wrist to help him stand in the right position. Sure, she wasn't the best at all of this philosophical talking, but as long as Lloyd understood all of it, she was satisfied.

"Where did you learn to fight anyway?" Lloyd questioned her. "Oh, you know, just the classic, pirates and stuff." She quickly reassured him, as both her and her brother gave each other a wink.

"Wait, what?" Jay slightly gasped, making him lose focus and electrocute Kai.

"Careful with that thing!" He exclaimed, rubbing his arm.

"As we've said, we have a complicated past." Nya smirked.

They kept training all night, as they knew that a big adventure was awaiting for them tomorrow.

Ninjago City.
