Chapter 2- Mission

I always seem to forget that a prologue doesn't count as a chapter. Fixed it now XD.

Oh and by the way, I'll have to change some distances in some locations in order for the story to make sense. In this chapter I have messed around with around two location distances so don't be weirded out if it doesn't make sense in canonicity :).

Oh and some other canon things like how the golden weapons/dragons work will be introduced in this chapter.

Third POV

After their conversation and quite some chasing, the two finally decided to go to bed. Lloyd laid down, thinking about the recent events. In just a few weeks, so much had happened. His father tried to kill him and plans to kill other people as well. Then, the next day it was the start of a new life. He now had a best friend, a home and most importantly of all, a family.

But what happened a few moments ago, that took him by surprise. Jay was indeed the adventurous type of person, but he didn't expect him to risk his own life and abandoning his parents for something he wasn't sure of believing. I mean, Lloyd was happy that someone finally took him seriously, but accepting that task.. It seemed as if he was selfish for asking this kind of help. At least that's what he thought.

But he was tempted to defeat that monster and bring back his father. If it was possible..

--------------

"Lloyd, you seem pretty pale.." Ed said to the blond, who was barely touching his breakfast. He felt tired that morning. He couldn't sleep at all last night. All the thoughts of guilt or regret for their plan were surrounding him.

"Do you at least want to rest for a bit?" Edna continued, noticing the slight bags under his eyes.

"No, no mom, I'm fine. It was just a little daydream." Lloyd lied, as Edna nodded and continued eating breakfast. He had gotten so used to living with the Walkers that he even called them Mom or Dad from time to time. As for Jay, he never really called him a brother. He saw him more like a best friend.

"Oh um, where's Jay?" He asked, noticing his friend's absence.

"Oh, he's just in his room. He wanted to invent some stuff as he told me, though I hope he doesn't blow up the house while we're gone.." Ed slightly chuckled, earning a slight glare from his wife. Lloyd looked at them in confusion, until Edna finally noticed.

"Ya see, we had this really great deal at Stiix and we have to leave tonight if we want to arrive there on time." Edna explained.

'So that's why he wanted to leave tonight' Lloyd thought.

"Hope ya don't mind bein' alone." Ed finished.

"Oh, um, don't worry. I'll just go check on Jay." He reassured them, getting up from his seat and heading towards Jay's -small- room. He found him in front of a small closet, clothes scattered on the floor.

"Uh, Jay? What are you doing?" Lloyd wondered, making Jay turn towards him.

"You know, just.. packing my stuff for tonight.." Jay sighed, slightly throwing his hands in the air.

Lloyd knew that he didn't want to go, but he didn't want to make him feel uncomfortable by bringing the subject up, so he tried to crack a joke. "What's with all these clothes? As if you're going on a date!" He mentally facepalmed as it -obviously- didn't come out right. But to his surprise, Jay smiled.

"I guess you're right." He chuckled. "I shouldn't bring that much. We just need some money so we can stay in a hotel or something. Though you should start packing as well. Don't let them catch you." Lloyd nodded as he left the room.

---------------

"We'll see ya soon! Don't break anything!" Edna shouted as they went on their way using their somewhat old vehicle. Once they got lost from their sight, Lloyd and Jay gave serious looks to each other.

They both sighed as they headed inside to pick up their backpacks. The least they could bring were the necessities; food, water and money. They didn't bother to bring any clothes. The only thing that they wouldn't dare to leave home were their family photos. Jay had one of him and his parents from when he was just 10 years old, while Lloyd had a picture of his old family. But it was only him and his -old- father. No one else.

"So, are you ready?" Jay looked at his friend.

Taking a deep breath, Lloyd replied with a single nod.

As the two teens walked further away from the junkyard, they kept thinking about, well, all of this. About an hour had passed when Jay tried to break the silence. "So, where do we go now?" He wondered, facing Lloyd, who just shrugged his shoulders.

"I don't know, this isn't my country. We just need a place to stay and think of a plan. Got any ideas?"

"Well, I suppose Jamanakai village would be our best choice for now. We'll find some old hotel, I guess.." Jay sighed, running his fingers through his auburn hair.

"Then it's settled. Let's go." Lloyd started walking a bit faster, pushing Jay in front to lead the way.

After several hours of walking, they arrived at the small village. There really wasn't much to it. Just some regular houses with regular people.
Well, it was way past twelve, so there weren't many people around. Only a few shops were open at this point. The two looked at this with surprise. They didn't expect the village to be that small.

"Okay, we just have to find a place to stay." Jay informed him, as they started walking around.

They tried to go into every house they could find, but none of them would offer them a place to stay. Even though they didn't have much money, they could at least have enough for a place to stay, right? Maybe they were all just greedy. Or maybe they just didn't want to let strangers into their house. Which is.. understandable.

"Well, what are we going to do now? It's too far for us to go back and now we'll have to sleep outside.." Lloyd complained as Jay patted his shoulder.
Their heads were both lowered down, thinking.

"HEY!" Lloyd shouted, making Jay startle. He felt as if he was smacked on the head with something. He turned around to see an old man holding a stick glare at him.

"Nonsense! You're giving up so soon? Come inside!" The man ordered as he grabbed their arms and dragged them towards a small den.

He insisted they both sit down and so they did. They gulped at the stranger's glare as he began to speak. "Seeing my nephew give up from now? I'm very ashamed of you, Green Ninja." Their eyes slightly widened as he said that sentence. An awkward silence followed up, until Lloyd got the power to speak.

"What do you mean by nephew? Ninja?! I don't even know how to hold a sword!" Lloyd cried.

"And who are you?!" Jay exclaimed.

"My, my, why do all teenagers have to be so dramatic?" The man started. "Lloyd, it's me, Wu. Your uncle." Lloyd let out a slight gasp.

"I have an uncle?!" He was too confused at this point. Jay tried his best to calm him down, though he didn't seem to succeed.

"I'm assuming that the transformation has already happened.." Wu sighed. Lloyd wanted to speak, but it was no use. "Your father. He has turned. And you have to stop him." Lloyd slightly nodded. "I may not have been there, as we lost touch many years ago, but the evil was always in your father. I could tell.."

"But then again.." He turned his head towards Jay. "I see you've already found the Master of Lightning." He smiled at the young man. Before he could say anything else, Jay started talking.

"Okay, what?! I get all your family drama, but what's up with the Ninja thing?! If he has to stop him, then why am I an Elemental Master?! Isn't that thing supposed to be inherited from your parents?!"

"At first, I must assure you that nothing is coincidental. Everything happens for a reason. You have to find the other four Ninjas and bring them here. Destiny will let you find them." Wu proudly informed him.

"Destiny has to lose our number...." Jay mumbled as Wu smacked his head with his stick.

"As for your last question.." Wu took a brief pause before continuing. "I don't think you're ready for that just yet." He chuckled, leaving both of them confused.

"You will have to find the four golden weapons in order for them to fuse and create the ultimate weapon, the Sword of Energy, a weapon with great power which can only be used by the Golden Ninja." He pointed at Lloyd. "The chosen one."

He then followed on to explain the weapons. "The Nunchucks of Lightning, the Blade of Water and Fire, the Shurikens of Ice and finally, the Scythe of Earth. Once you claim these weapons you will have the ability to control your elements." He informed them. Before they could say a word, he continued talking.

"Your first target will be the Nunchucks of Lightning, in a nearby tower. You may sleep here for now, but you'll be leaving as soon as the sun rises. Now, if you excuse me, I must go." He patted his nephew's shoulder as he started to leave.

"Um, what just happened..?" Jay giggled, being delighted and confused at the same time.

"I don't know, but I think we have all the information we need in order to succeed." Lloyd smiled.

"You're already starting to sound like him." Jay chuckled, earning a playful punch on his shoulder.

The two soon fell asleep, as a big day was waiting for them tomorrow..

Yeah.... I changed things up. But it's okay! Two chapters from now, we're going to introduce new members to the team! And if you're wondering why there were only five in total weapons when there are 6 ninja, you'll see, cause Nya will have a weapon. I'll add an extra power to one of them. Dragons and elemental dragons will work a bit differently as well. :)

C ya!
