Chapter 11- Another type of Master (Part 1/2)
Yeah.. 600 reads! We're moving on faster than I thought.. XD
I'll try to overcome writer's block in this chapter so excuse me if this part is somewhat abstract or has mistakes.
Sorry for not putting the -s by the way.. You'll see what I mean once you read the chapter.
And.. I'll quit blabbering.
Onto the story!
Third POV
"So.. What are we going to do next?" Zane enquired as Lloyd took out the old map from his backpack. They had found a small open spot to camp since it was already night time and were gathered around a small campfire they lit up. They tried to discuss their plans, since not much was left to do.
"I guess we'll have to return back to this old temple Wu told us to meet him in. The Blades are too far and we'll need answers about our dragons. They can't just run off like that." Jay pointed at each marked spot on the map, as a slight concern appeared on his face.
"We'll see. But for now, we've got bigger problems. How are we even going to get there? It's a bit hard to walk all the way. It could take us days! Do you know what happens to hair with all that heat?!" Kai said, letting out a loud sigh.
"Oh, stop being such a drama queen, we've been through worse." Nya narrowed her eyes. "Honestly Kai, if I ever go blind, it's gonna be from rolling my eyes so much at your stupid life decisions.." She face palmed, crossing her arms.
"You know you love me sis." He pulled her into a sarcastic tight hug, before her playfully pushing him off.
"So.. Do you have any stories to tell? Just to pass time, I guess.." Cole casually said, raising his shoulders.
"I think I've got one. Though it's more funny than scary.." Jay chuckled at the thought of it. "A lot of people usually ask me where I got this weird notch on my right eyebrow. I still remember this day very clearly. I was about five when this happened. My dad was teaching me how to make a small robot. That was my first invention. He left me alone for just two minutes before it exploded right in front of me. I still don't really know how this happened, but it must've been a small cut from pieces of metal or something."
"Okay.. Well, what about-" Lloyd continued before he was cut off by a strange -and rather loud noise-. That was surely someone moving. They stood up trying to sneak up to whatever that thing or person was. Well, the one who stood up was mainly Cole, as the others looked around just in case.
"Don't let your guard down, okay? And hide the weapons." Lloyd whispered, as the others nodded. They suddenly heard a loud gasp come from behind some bushes as Cole came in holding a person in his arms. Well, if you could call a giant purple snake a person, that is. They all gasped.
"I found this guy behind the bushes." He dropped him off. They could hear the man curse under his breath before he finally spoke up.
"Sigh, I guess I should introduce myself." He sighed before Kai and Nya went in front of him.
"We already know who you are, Pythor." Kai coldly said.
"Kai, Nya! Look at you two! Great to see you again!" He went to give them a hug, before they pushed him back, almost making him trip.
"So.. you're not friends?" Cole whispered to Kai.
"Oh, trust me, we're everything but friends.." Pythor spoke up, narrowing his eyes.
"What do you want?" Nya hissed, as the others looked at the three, confused.
"Ah, hissing I see. Does that mean the offer is still up?" A sly smirk appeared on his face.
"I say we calm down for a bit. We could always solve this misunderstanding diplomatically-" Zane got in between them, as his lips curved into an awkward smile.
"Zane, he killed our parents!" Kai snapped, as everyone -including Pythor- gasped. "Do you really think we're ever gonna join your stupid Serpentine society after what you've done?!"
"Kai, we've been over this. I did not kill your lovey-dovey parents. And even if I did, what are you gonna do? Turn me in to the police? You have no evidence." Pythor seemed offended, as he flickered the end of his royal purple tail. "Besides, things have changed now. It's a lot more different."
"So, are you a good guy then?" Jay wondered, moving closer to him.
"Of course not. Not getting caught doesn't mean I'm a good guy. These two are the living proof of my excuse." He pointed to Kai and Nya, who were really starting to get pissed off.
"Okay, that's it. Bring out your weapons." They pulled out the Golden Weapons out of their bags, when all of a sudden, Kai felt something push his hand back.
"What the-"
"So there you are.." They all heard a female voice come from behind them. They turned around to see a red haired girl with crossed arms staring at them. She had tan skin, as well as amber eyes. Beside her stood two other figures, a rather pale man with grey hair, as well as a girl with purple hair and a small mole on her face.
"We'll take care of him, thank you very much." The purple haired girl glared at Pythor before grabbing his arm.
"Who are you?" Lloyd asked the red haired girl, who seemed to be the leader.
"I'm Skylor, Master of Amber. This is Ash, Master of Smoke." She pointed to the grey haired man. "And this is Camille, Master of Form." She pointed to the purple haired girl.
"So, what's up with you and Pythor?"
"We'll have to explain later. You're coming with us." Ash told them.
"What do you mean by that?" Zane gave them a suspicious look getting ready to attack.
"Relax, we just don't want you sleeping in the woods, that's all. You're coming as guests." Skylor gave them the 'I couldn't have made this more obvious' look as her voice changed to a sarcastic tone.
The others slightly nodded, so a few minutes later they ended up following the strange people, until they finally arrived at the sea coast where a small boat was waiting for them.
"Are you sure you want to go in there?" Nya whispered to her brother with a smirk.
"I-I'll manage. Besides, I no longer fear water.." He slightly mumbled.
"Get on the boat. The island is not that far ahead." Ash informed them. "As for you, Pythor." He smirked before pushing him on the boat and putting handcuffs on his arms.
"Don't you have manners mister!" Pythor said, before giving Ash a glare.
"Just get on the boat.." Camille sighed as the others finally went on. Before they knew it, the boat's small engine started to move and they were on their way.
Kai looked terrified all the way there and they hadn't even arrived yet. "Scared?" Kai gasped as he felt an arm grab his shoulder. He turned around to see Skylor giving him a smirk.
"N-no of course not!" He quickly tried to change the topic. "So, uh, where are we going?"
"To our small island. It used to be a hideout for my father's Anacondrai cult, but we eventually managed to take him down. That's why we hide from the outside world. It seems like Pythor here ran away though." She sighed, lowering her head.
"O-Oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-"
"No, no, it's okay. The past is in the past anyway." She gave him a reassuring smile. "Besides, things have changed. I'm trying to be a great leader to the other Elemental Masters, but it's not like I want them to treat me like one. We're all equal, after all."
"I guess we are."
A few minutes passed before they finally made it to the small island. They could see small houses surrounding one big building in the center of it. "Woah.. It's really beautif-" Cole was cut off by a huge explosion occurring. "Uh.. What the heck was that about?!"
"Must have been Griffin again.. He and Tox are trying to open up new paths and apparently explosives are the only way out." Skylor said, playfully narrowing her eyes.
When the boat stopped, they went down just to be welcomed by all the other Elemental Masters. Master of Speed, Master of Nature, etc. All of them were there.
"So.. you guys can control the elements too?" Jay wondered, raising a brow.
"Well yeah. It would seem kind of obvious since we are called the Elemental Masters." The invisible man sarcastically replied.
"I'm sorry about him. He's just a bit grumpy today." The Master of Mind, Neuro chuckled.
"You cheated on that match and you know it!" He complained, punching his friend's shoulder.
"Anyways, let me show you around. Griffin, take Pythor to his cell." Skylor said before giving the others a smile.
They followed her towards the main building they saw before, though it was much larger up close. Inside of it were a few small houses, much like the ones that were surrounding this huge place.
"And here," She took a brief pause before raising her hands. "Is the arena." She opened the door as everyone looked in awe. It was an enormous place, with seats all around, as well as one big throne. A large opening stood below and it looked just a tad smaller than a football field. It didn't have much, just a score board at one of its corners. "So, what do you think?"
"This is awesome! How did you even build all that stuff?!" Jay beamed.
"Well.." Skylor let out a nervous chuckle. "My father would make us fight, though it was only to take our powers. This is only one of many smaller arenas here."
"Oh.. I see.." Jay awkwardly lowered his head, earning a glare from his friends.
"We still fight here though, even if it's just for fun. Feel free to use it any time you want." She flashed a smile at them before continuing with her tour.
They eventually arrived at another huge room, this time a dining area. A huge table with many chairs, all of them neatly decorated. Like the other room, in the middle stood a large throne.
"What are you waiting for? Take a seat." They all sat down when they saw a bunch of girls, all wearing white makeup all over their faces, with hints of blue or red marks. They looked like they were wearing kimonos as well as holding fans and plates.
"Uh.. who are they? Didn't you say no slavery?" Nya pushed one of them away as she was getting a bit too close.
Skylor nervously chuckled, rubbing the back of her neck. "We.. don't really know. I guess my father's right hand Clouse cast a spell on them. We did everything we could, but not even Neuro could figure out what's going on their head."
"Uh-huh. Well, I'm not really hungry. I'll just go to sleep.." Nya let out a fake yawn before getting up from her seat. Though as she was leaving, she stopped and awkwardly turned around.
"Where are we going to sleep again?"
"Oh, don't worry about that.." Skylor smirked. "We have prepared some special rooms for our guests. The others will show you." A bit later, some of the other Elemental Masters came in to show them their rooms. Some faces were familiar, like Griffin, Camille, Neuro and obviously Skylor, though they met new people as well, like Shade and Bolobo.
The first to see his room was Zane accompanied by Neuro. Its design looked a lot like the icy cave where he claimed the Shurikens. The whole bedroom and furniture were either icy blue or white, along with a workbench he noticed at the corner of the room.
"This is.." Zane looked at the room in awe.
"Beautiful? I know." He put a hand on his shoulder showing him around. "We know a lot about you. Things you might not even know about yourselves." Neuro said as Zane thanked him. Before he left, Neuro took a small book out.
"Here. It's one of my favorites. Feel free to visit our library if you want." He gave him a wink before leaving.

"So.. you're the Master of Speed. Isn't that really close to lightning?" Jay asked a question -for the fifth time-. He was really lucky Griffin was chill -and mostly patient-, because he talked a lot.
"Well, yeah, you can say that. I think it's something like a side power to lightning. Maybe you'll learn someday."
They eventually arrived at a sky blue door and once they opened it, Jay saw heaven. The whole room was painted blue, as there were electronics everywhere. And I mean everywhere.
"I think I'm in heaven.." He immediately belly flopped onto the large blue bed.
"Enjoy your time here buddy." Griffin fixes his red sunglasses before sprinting off.
"This. Is. Awesome!"
~•~
"And here, is your room." Camille smirked before opening the door to Lloyd's room. As all the others, it had a specific theme. This time, it was painted green. He then noticed the corner of the room, where a tea plant was there. He didn't decide to question it though.
"Oh, um.. Thanks.." He sighed, giving her a smile. But she wasn't buying any of that.
"I can tell something is up. What is it?" The woman sat on the bed beside him, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"It's just.. A lot has been going on and I don't know how to handle it and-"
"Oh, don't be such a cry baby now. We've all been there." She narrowed her eyes.
"Excuse me..?"
"I said you need to man up. You can do this." She advised him before exiting the room, leaving the teen in concern.

"And here is your room, Master of Earth." Bolobo said, opening the doors to Cole's room. The first thing Cole noticed was his huge bed, which was made of.. rock?
"Don't you like it?" He asked him.
"Yeah, dude, of course, I love it." He said a bit too fast. "Though it's a bit.. boring..?"
Bolobo sighed. "And here," He pressed a button on the wall. "Is the dessert station." That small station had everything. Candy, cookies and especially, cake.
"Things just got interesting.. Thanks dude!" Cole waved as he noticed him leaving.
"No problem. Feel free to come over if you need any help."
"I sure will!"

"So.. this is my room?" Nya glanced at Shade. In front of her stood a room that was actually pretty big for one person. It even had a pool for FSM's sake!
"Yup." Shade smiled. "Do you like it?"
"Like it?! I adore it! Isn't it a bit too much for me though..?" She gave him a concerned look.
"Nope. That's what everyone here gets." He then noticed her open bag.
"What's this?" He pulled out the metal Samurai helmet that had fallen off.
"Oh.. Just a little something I have." She awkwardly pulled out the rest of the Samurai suit. "I use it for battling."
"It's really well made. Good job." He gave her a thumbs up. "But I've got to go now. Goodnight." He waved before slowly exiting the room. Nya was left all alone, but decided to stay awake. She had a certain someone to talk to.
~•~
"And here is your room, Master." Skylor sarcastically bowed.
"Why thank you, lady Skylor." He sarcastically bowed back.
"I hope you'll be comfortable here. You must've come a long way for us to even find you." Skylor placed her hands on her hips, sighing.
"Well, kind of. Me and my sister don't exactly have the best past.."
"I know. Having Neuro by me lets you learn a lot more, huh?" She moved closer -a bit too close- as Kai felt his face heat up.
"Yeah, guess so." He discreetly took a step back. "Thanks once again."
"No problem. But I've got to go now. Night." She waved a goodbye. Though she started going towards the small balcony instead of the door. Out of curiosity, Kai followed her. She jumped over to the other balcony as a small fire floated on her hand, leaving Kai confused.
"We're neighbors?" Kai enquired, still confused.
"My choice." She gave him a small wink as she let out her hand. "Master of Amber. And judging by what I absorbed, you've got a strong power within you." He shook her hand before she eventually left inside her room.
He suddenly heard an annoying sound coming from the cellphone Cole had bought them from the City.
It was Nya.
"Hello?"
Yeah.. I finished it! I hope this helped me get through my writer's block..
I was also really tempted to write a parody of a certain scene *cough* but didn't have enough time.. XD
Anyways,
C ya!
