Bang.

The sound screamed in Jungkook's ears, wallowing up his insides. At once, he opened his eyes, a haze of his own tears limiting his vision. But he could see red, blood. And, the chef, on the floor, a black hole on his forehead, blood gushing out of it.

"Let this be a lesson to anyone who tries to betray me." Dokeun's voice boomed, sounding like white noise to Jungkook. Everyone had fear written on their faces, eyes widened and faces paled.

Jungkook stood there, arms still risen, gun still pointed, hands still shaking. His eyes were wide, hollow, glassed. He looked stricken, like every ounce of soul had left his body. He heard footsteps walking away, and once his father left the room, the room erupt.

Guards pulled the bloody body of the chef out of the house, leaving a trail of blood on the floor. Jungkook dropped the gun, tears rushing to his eyes, more feeble to release now that his father was gone. He felt arms wrap around him, his head being pushed to someone's chest.

"Hey, hey, it's okay-" Someone soothed, patted down his hair, and Jungkook felt eyes on him as tears began wracking his insides, sobs choking out of his lips.

"Jin," Namjoon's voice snapped, and Jin continued holding Jungkook close to him.

"People are watching. We can't have him crying." Namjoon hissed, and Jin pursed his lips and then realized Namjoon was quite right, because people were eyeing him, wondering whether the Boss' son was reprimandable.

Jin pulled Jungkook aside, seeing tears running down his face, his cheeks reddened and damp. "We don't cry, bubba- it's okay. It's alright. Everything's alright," Jin said softly, and Jungkook sniffled, unable to catch his breath.

"H-h-he's dead, Jin- I-I killed him!" Jungkook let out, and then he felt someone yank his shirt and pull him, his eyes turning to find Namjoon.

"Jungkook, now's not the time for you to be shedding tears. This was just a simple act you had to do to show your father you're ready for more. We can't have people thinking you're a weak kid, especially not after what your father said. Stop crying." Namjoon snapped, and Jungkook cowered his head, trying his hardest to control his sobs.

"I-I didn't want to kill him, Namjoon," Jungkook breathed out, and Namjoon almost got a soft look on his face, but replaced it with a look of anger.

"Jungkook, if your father tells you to do something, you do it, okay? If he hands you a gun and tells you to shoot me in the head, you-"

"No! T-that's not- I don't want to do that! I-I j-just wanted to be-e part of the-t-the mi-missions- not-n-not-" Jungkook started sobbing, eyes blurring again, Namjoon's figure in front of him turning into a splatter of colours.

"Seriously?" A deep voice snapped, making everyone except Jungkook turn their heads. "Go clean up this mess, clearly you have no intention on making him feel better."

Jungkook felt a hand grab his and lead him out of the room, and Jungkook just followed like a little puppy, because honestly that's what he felt like right now. A little puppy who just got told by his master to kill a cat that he didn't want to kill.

Once he was out of the room, and in the foyer before the stairs, he felt arms wrap around him, holding him tightly.

"T-Taehyung," Jungkook choked out, tears running down is face as he clutched onto a dress shirt.

"It's okay, you-you're okay. I'm sorry you had to go through that," Taehyung whispered, and Jungkook dug his head into his neck, shaking in his hold.

"I-I d-didn't w-want to-"

"I know, I know. Your father shouldn't have made you do that. But.. that's the life he wanted you to adjust into. A life full of death of your own loved ones, isn't that it?" Taehyung chuckled sadly, and Jungkook shook his head.

"C-can we go someplace else?" Jungkook asked, nose blocked, sniffling. Taehyung nodded, wiping his tears with the pad of his thumb.

"Yes, of course. Let's go to your room," Taehyung whispered, and felt Jungkook hold onto his hand tightly. Taehyung squeezed his gently and led him up the stairs, and then they walked to Jungkook's room and closed the door.

"I-I've known him s-since I was born, Tae. A-a-and- I know he-he clearly did something w-wrong, but-but he's worked for us f-for years," Jungkook let out, sitting down onto the bed.

"I know.. you're allowed to feel upset and cry, don't listen to what Namjoon said," Taehyung said, sitting down beside him. Jungkook wiped under his eye with the back of his hand, turning to Taehyung.

"My father asked my brother to kill my uncle.. w-who apparently was helping the police with some investigation in exchange for being free." Jungkook explained, and Taehyung looked at him.

"Did he do it?" Taehyung asked softly, and saw Jungkook let out a snicker, not an inch of amusement in his tone.

"Shot him in the chest three times. My brother was 15, Tae. He didn't even blink. A-and my uncle, he-he used to get us toys and-and books and took us out for movies. M-my brother didn't care. It was j-just a job for him." Jungkook croaked out, and Taehyung saw his eyes tearing up again.

"W-why is it so hard for me? Why am I not like you, or the rest of them? W-why am I not like my father, or my brother? W-why am I so scared?" Jungkook squeaked out, and Taehyung reached forward, engulfing him in his arms.

"Because you're a good person, Jungkook. You weren't meant for this. Don't dare think it's your fault- because it's not. Your father is horrible for making you endure that, and Namjoon and all aren't any better." Taehyung said, and Jungkook looked up at him.

"Y-you really think so?" Jungkook asked, tilting his head a little. "I'm-I'm a good person?"

Taehyung chuckled a little, reaching his hand forward to caress Jungkook's cheek. "Of course you are, Kook. Some of your actions may be immoral, but inherently your heart leads for purity. Unlike the rest of us." Taehyung said, and Jungkook smiled a little.

"I don't want to be a bad person." Jungkook breathed out, leaning forward a little. Taehyung leaned in as well.

"You're not," Taehyung whispered, and then Jungkook blinked at him.

They looked at each other for a few seconds, before Jungkook linked their hands together and leaned in completely, their noses brushing lightly.

"Taehyung?"

"Hm?"

"Kiss me," Jungkook said softly, and Taehyung let out a small smile, reaching his hands forward to grab Jungkook's waist.

"Gladly." Taehyung whispered, and then they pressed their lips together.

Jungkook hummed into the kiss, wringing his fingers into Taehyung's hair, their lips moving against one another softly. Taehyung pulled away, and Jungkook fluttered his eyes open, looking at him.

"More." Jungkook said, and Taehyung smiled fondly.

He gripped Jungkook by the hips and pulled him up, placing him on his waist and eliciting a squeak of surprise from the younger boy. Jungkook felt Taehyung's hands on the small of his back, and then leaned forward to press their lips together.

Jungkook gripped his hair again, kissing him back firmly, tilting his head slightly to the left to kiss him harder. Taehyung bit down onto Jungkook's bottom lip, making him whimper. Taehyung let his hands roam over the bare skin under Jungkook's dress shirt, and Jungkook placed his hands on Taehyung's neck.

Jungkook pulled away lightly, their lashes brushing together. Taehyung gazed into his eyes, and Jungkook suddenly felt something fluttering within his, heart pace increasing.

"You look a little sleepy." Taehyung said, and Jungkook yawned slightly, wrapping his arms around his neck and digging his face into the crevice of his neck.

"M' tired.. Wanna sleep." Jungkook squeaked softly, and then let out a small giggled when Taehyung leaned him over onto the bed, so Jungkook was lying down onto it, head against the pillow.

"Well, I have to go. My phone's been beeping with messages from Jimin for the last ten minutes. You sure you don't wanna change?" Taehyung asked, and Jungkook shook his head, his eyes already drooping lightly.

"No. It's okay.. goodnight." Jungkook whispered, and Taehyung chuckled, leaning down to press a kiss to his lips.

"Goodnight, baby." Taehyung whispered back, before closing his lamp light and then walking out of the room.

Taehyung closed Jungkook's door softly, making sure he wasn't too loud. The moment he turned around, he met with an angered look.

"What were you doing to him?" Jin snapped, and Taehyung cocked his eyebrow, and pushed past him, walking towards his room.

"Consoling him. What else would I do?" Taehyung scoffed.

"There's a lot I can think of. Don't get any funny ideas, kid; Jungkook's still a little lamb, he doesn't need someone like you rubbing off on him." Jin mumbled, and Taehyung snickered.

Funny, because Jungkook was the one rubbing himself on Taehyung just yesterday. Not an innocent little lamb-

"That's really all you can think of? How about the fact that the Boss just killed the chef, who's worked here for over two decades? I mean- fuck loyalty, right?" Taehyung snapped back, and Jin moved closer to him.

"Loyalty? The chef clearly betrayed him. And, it doesn't matter- things like that happen all the time. It's just new to Jungkook, and I don't-I don't condemn his father's actions, but his father could've made him do far worse." Jin said, and then the door to Namjoon's room opened, and the four other boys walked out of it, discussing something quietly.

"There you are," Jimin said, walking up to Taehyung, looking a little frzzled. Probably from the events from earlier.

"Is Kook alright?" Namjoon asked, and Taehyung snapped his head towards him, sneering at him.

"What do you care? After basically telling him he's a weak kid because he was crying for killing someone who he's known for his whole life?!" Taehyung snarked, and Namjoon, instead of getting upset, just pressed his lips.

"Watch it, Taehyung," Hoseok said sternly, and Namjoon sighed.

"No, no- he's right." Namjoon said, and Taehyung looked a little confused, and saw Namjoon rake his hand through his hair. "I don't like being so harsh on him, y'know. But someone's gotta do it. His father barely talks to him. Someone has to take the role of being a strict figure in his life. His brother didn't have one and he..." Namjoon trailed, and heard Yoongi let out a soft sigh, so decided not to mention that.

"You think I didn't feel bad after yelling at him, Kim? He's really just a little kid who-"

"Not a little kid. He's an adult. Just like the rest of us." Taehyung mumbled, and then saw Namjoon's face go from gentle to pissed.

"What's your issue? If he doesn't care, why do you?" Namjoon snapped, and Taehyung felt Jimin place his hand on Taehyung's arm, trying to calm him down.

"Who said he doesn't care?! He told me he's cried about the way you guys treat him numerous times! Sure, baby him- but at least give him the freedom and respect of an adult, which he is!" Taehyung said, his voice a little loud.

"Taehyung, just shut up, will you? We've had enough problems today as it is- you've only known him for a few weeks, while we've known him since he was a baby." Yoongi snapped, and then Taehyung snickered.

"I just fail to understand why you guys can't give him a little respect," Taehyung said, and then heard Namjoon snap.

"I still fail to understand who it is you're hiding from us," Namjoon growled, and Taehyung turned to him.

"I told you, Taehyung. Don't push it- because I'm going to find out who it is you slept with that you're trying to protect. And when we do, he'll be dead-" Namjoon snarked, and then they heard a low snicker.

"Isn't it obvious?" Jin said, and everyone turned to him.

Taehyung furrowed his eyebrows. "W-what?"

He saw Jin let out a humorless laugh, folding his arms together. "Come on, now. I think we all know." Jin said, and Taehyung felt his mouth go dry.

"You lied to Namjoon about who you sleep with, and then showed up with with a boy who used to be a stripper," Jin said, and Taehyung's eyes widened a little when he realized where Jin was going.

"You slept with Jimin. Clearly," Jin snickered, and Jimin's eyes widened.

"What?! No, I-" Jimin started, but then heard a lower, deep voice growl.

"What?" The voice sent shivers down Jimin's spine, and turned to see Yoongi, vein popping in his neck, eyes practically red.

"Yoongi-" Jimin started, but then gasped when Yoongi lunged forward and punched Taehyung across the face, pushing him back.

"You better not have fucking hurt him," Yoongi shouted, grabbing Taehyung's collar and shoving him against the wall. Taehyung opened his mouth to say something, but then felt another punch to his stomach, making him cower and try to hold his aching stomach-

"Yoongi, stop!"

Yoongi felt a hand try to pull him away, but snatched away and shoved Taehyung into the wall. "I don't want you to look at him, understand me? And if you ever-"

"Yoongi!" A voice let out, and suddenly Yoongi was pushed back, and a black haired boy stepped in front of Taehyung.

Jungkook, his hair a little messy, reaching his arms out a little so Yoongi wouldn't hurt Taehyung. His eyes were wide, clearly distressed and awoken from the loud noises. Taehyung was still against the wall, breathing heavily, his lip most definitely bleeding.

"He didn't sleep with Jimin!" Jungkook exasperated, looking at the eyes set on him. "It was me! He slept with me, that's why he found another body to kill! He was trying to save me," Jin let out a gasp, and Hoseok just moved back from Namjoon and Jin, knowing there was going to be yelling coming forth. Yoongi moved back a little, feeling hands tug on his arm, turning to see Jimin looking slightly afraid, eyes bigger in worry.

"What?!" Jin said, and then Namjoon yanked Jungkook away from Taehyung. Namjoon grabbed Taehyung by the throat and pushed him against the floor.

"What the fuck did you do to him?" Namjoon uttered, seeing Taehyung roll over in pain when he got kicked in the stomach.

"Namjoon, stop!" Jungkook cried, pulling the older man away. "Stop hurting him- I-I did it too! I chose to sleep with him, s-so don't-"

Jungkook's voice trailed when he saw Namjoon's angry glare, the darkness and fire in his eyes, the way his eyebrows were furrowed.

"Who the fuck allowed you to leave the house?" Namjoon growled, his voice awfully low. "What made you think you can go out sleeping around with complete strangers? Are you out of your mind?!" Namjoon's voice boomed through the hallways, and Jungkook felt tears rising in his eyes.

He couldn't help it, today itself had been so stressful and he just couldn't help but let tears leak out of his eyes. "I-I'm sorry! B-but tha-that day you guys we-were being m-mean, and-"

"Being mean?! That's why you decided to disobey us?? Y'know what, Jungkook- you're not ready to be an adult yet. You're still a kid, because clearly you still don't understand the consequences of your actions!" Namjoon shouted, and Jungkook felt tears running down his face.

"I-I- just-" Jungkook tried, seeing everyone stilled around them, Taehyung standing up now, his face a little bloody.

"Shut up," Namjoon snapped, and Jungkook flinched at his voice. "You are going to go to your room, and you're going to stay there. No more missions, and you are definitely not going to look at Taehyung- that's if he's still here after this." Namjoon said sternly, and Jungkook felt like a dumb little baby and just nodded his head, vision blurred.

"Now go sleep. Right now." Namjoon shouted, and Jungkook wiped his eyes with the back of his hand, nodding and turning towards his room, not wanting to meet anyone's eyes.

Except, he did. He looked up and saw Taehyung, with blood pouring out of a cut on his bottom lip, a bruise beside his eye, eyes red, giving Jungkook a look he couldn't quite decipher.

"No," Jungkook said, turning to face Taehyung.

"Excuse me?" Namjoon asked, furrowed his eyebrows.

Jungkook barely gave him a look and shook his head. "I-I said no. I'm not a baby, a-and I can do whatever I want to do and be with whoever I want!" Jungkook exclaimed, and saw Taehyung's eyes widen a little.

"Jungkook, you-"

"Shut up!" Jungkook yelled, and then saw Namjoon look extremely confused. "J-just- shut up! I don't want to stay here if you're going to fucking g-ground me everything I do anything another kid my age would do!"

"Not stay here? Are you out of your mind? Where are you going to-"

Jungkook reached forward and grabbed Taehyung's hand. "Let's go," Jungkook whispered, and Taehyung opened his mouth to say something.

"C'mon Tae, let's go. I don't wanna be around them." Jungkook snapped, loud enough for the boys to hear him. Taehyung wrapped his hand around Jungkook's;

They both, without giving the other boys a glance, rushed down the stairs. The other boys just looked at them in confusion, eyes wide, wondering if they should stop them.

Namjoon stepped forward to go after them, but Jin grabbed his shirt. "They'll come back, calm down. I think it's better for him to just leave for a little," Jin said softly, and Namjoon was going to protest, but then felt himself ease a little, seeing the two boys rushing down the stairs and towards the doors.

Taehyung and Jungkook rushed out of the mansion, the air outside cold and making Jungkook shiver. He looked at Taehyung, who had the keys to his motorcycle in his hand.

"I have a small apartment downtown. Let's go there," Taehyung said, and Jungkook nodded.

They rushed to the side of the house, where Taehyung's motorcycle was parked. Taehyung climbed onto the seat, and then patted the spot behind him. Jungkook smiled a little, feeling rebellious for once. Like a teenager, going away with a boy his parents clearly disapprove of in the middle of a school night.

Jungkook climbed behind Taehyung, wrapping his arms around his waist, digging his face into the back of his shoulder.

"Hold on tight, doll." Taehyung whispered, revving the engine, smoke leaving the motorcycle. Jungkook grinned, clutching onto Taehyung's shirt.

"I will. Now let's drive," Jungkook whispered, and then they were off
