Lauren squeezed my hand and sent me reassuring smiles as I sat and waited for her to finish her meeting with Mr. Peters.
"You can't take any of my money, I filed for prenuptial," Lauren said when Mr. Peters' lawyer read off his terms.
"Fine, fuck the money but I get the house,"
"I didn't want the house anyway, I planned on getting a new place with Lee," Lauren said, smiling over at me, "Plus, it's not completely paid off yet, so good luck trying to pay anything on it,"
His lawyer crossed one leg over the other and folded his hands together.
"Listen, Mrs. Peters,"
Lauren cut him off, "It's Jauregui,"
"Okay, Ms. Jauregui," The man cleared his throat, "What are you going to gain by keeping everything and giving David nothing?"
"I'm not fucking stupid. I know you're going to try to sell the house and cars. I'm taking every property but the house. Everything is in my name, I have all the money. I'm not paying alimony, if you even try to take me for it I'm taking you and your little girlfriend for fraud,"
"Her name is Jasmine," Mr. Peters growled.
"Fuck Jasmine then,"

Waking up in her arms felt like the best thing in the world. I could smell her perfume on the collar of her shirt. It was sort of boyish, yet feminine. I liked it.
"Lee," I whispered, positioning us so that her head was on my lap, "Wake up honey,"
Talia groaned and tried to flip over, but my knee was in the way.
Deciding that she wasn't going to get up without extra help, I started to pepper her face with short kisses.
First, in between her eyebrows. Then on her nose and both of her cheeks. When I reached her lips, I paused for a moment. A little kiss wouldn't hurt.
I leaned forward and quickly pressed my lips to hers. They were soft and tasted like strawberry Chapstick. Before I knew it, her hand was on the back of my neck and she was kissing me back.
"I didn't know you were awake," I mumbled inbetween kisses.
"I wasn't, but am now," She told me, pulling away from the kiss, "Plus, we need to get ready for work anyway. I have a lot to do today,"
Talia stood up and stretched, her shirt riding up on her stomach. Damn.
"See something you like?"
I bit my lip and walked over to wrap my arms around her waist.
"Yes, give me twenty minutes and I'll show you how much I like it,"
Talia only laughed and threw her head back on my shoulder, exposing her neck to me. I kissed her skin softly.
"Baby, we have to get ready,"
"Okay, let me wake up the girls,"

I walked out to my car barefoot. Lauren's driveway was black top anyway, it wouldn't hurt my feet too much.
The door was already unlocked, so I grabbed my clothes and walked back into the house, where the girls (including Lauren) were yelling about something.
"Dinah, wake the fuck up!" Lauren shouted, followed by screams and glass shattering.
"Way to go, bitch. You broke the fucking lamp!" Another voice, who I assumed belonged to Camila, yelled.
A few minutes later, Lauren trudged down the stairs with Dinah close behind her.
"How do you sleep like that?" Lauren asked, walking into the kitchen area and preparing the coffee machine.
"Girl, you've known me for years. Don't let me near glass when I'm sleeping and shit won't break,"
I snickered and made my way toward Lauren's personal bathroom, only getting lost on the way one time.
Just as soon as I closed the door, I stripped myself of my night clothes and slipped on my pants, wrapping the belt around my waist. It hugged me tightly, like most of my work clothes did. Next went on my shirt, then my tie. I accidently grabbed the wrong shirt though, so the sleeves were short instead of long.
My hair didn't need washed, so I looked through Laur's cabinets to find some grease, or hair spray at least.
After I was done, I looked like I always did. Clean, neat and ready to work. Before I left the bathroom, I smiled at myself in the mirror.
I looked good. I stepped out of the bathroom and made my way back down stairs, expecting to see all five girls waiting on me. To my surprise, it was only Lauren and Normani.
"Hey, do you mind if Bruno stays here until we get out of Hotwire?" I asked Lauren. She nodded her head and handed me a cup of coffee that I gladly accepted.
"That's fine with me, honey,"

When we got to the office, Lee was half an hour late and everything was a total mess.
People were packed in the elevator, going up and down to her office to panic about something neither of us were aware about.
"Ms. Summer, what are we going to do?" A man from the interview department asked as we made our way to her office.
"About what, Jeremy? I was running late this morning, I have no fucking clue what's going on right now,"
Now a group of people surrounded us, not paying any attention to anyone but Talia. She kept her cool and raised her hand.
"Everyone quiet down now!" She boomed, silencing the small crowd of people, "Jeremy, tell me what happened. I won't be mad, I just need to know what happened,"
The man sighed nervously and ran a hand through his brown hair.
"Kanye cancelled, then shortly after we got news that Zeke Daniels quit on the spot,"
I watched as Talia's face grew red. She clenched her fists, causing the veins on her wrists to pop out.
"Fuck Kanye and Zeke Daniels. I need someone from Social Management to contact Kanye's people and tell them we're never working with him again. Whoever is seated next to Mr. Daniels will clean out his cubicle or I will start deducting from Christmas bonus," She continued, pointing at people, telling them what to do and where to go, "As for the issue, I want J-Cole and Willow Smith and I want them today, people!"
"I'm late one day out of the year and everything goes to shit!"
The crowd slowly dissolved, leaving the girls, Talia and I alone in the hallway. I scooted closer to Lee and rubbed my hand up and down her back.
"How often do you have to yell at them like that?" Camila asked, not understanding anything that just happened.
"Every once and a while. For the most part, they're good but when I'm gone everything goes haywire," She mumbled, "I literally bleed this company. Without me, this whole building would be a mess,"
David really didn't do much. Hell, he goes on at least two 'business' trips a month and the company seemed to run fine. I guess that should've been an eye opener a while ago, but I never really thought about it.
I suppose I didn't think about a lot of things.
"Okay, hopefully this pin will work," Talia muttered as she turned toward David's office.
It took her a few minutes, but the door opened and we could all see inside.
"What exactly are we looking for?" Ally asked, speaking up for the first time in a while.
"Well we don't really know. I just need to know who David's with and where the fuck he's been running off to,"
