Riverwater
To the rillets and runnels
From the mountains and skies,
Tunnel to tunnel, to the miserable puddles;
Past the ends, admiring the flyes.
Ashes of books, visions in haze,
Stuttering syllables, slaughtered with words;
Dying emotions yet the slaves of a maze;
The coldness of soul yet chirping of birds.
One-way trails, a million trackways;
A trillion turns yet no returns;
Innocently chosen, misery's bouquets:
Now choked with regrets that bitterly burn.
The congenial faces and limitless pages,
Happy hues that hate compares;
Lifeless voids, vile escapes,
An empty canvas, casted with tears.
In similar ways, you too, are drifting away;
Like the cold streams in the vast seas, (Frozen hearts in utter astray).
