3 Forbidden Forest

POV Jack

After a cooling shower I went to sleep in the room that I shared with other people from the slytherin. My back was aching from the lightning strike, even though it healed fast I felt the burning sensation beneath my skin. Why did she have to interrupt, I would be just fine now.

I layed on the bed and when I turned on it the pain was like someone would have kept open fire beneath me. My breathing was shallow and I clenched my fists. I sat on my bed’s edge and I take a jar from my night table. It is ‘Ointment for every situation, cures every ache in body’, or at least that is what the label says.

“Ouch,” I whisper when I spread the ointment on my back. Suddenly a cooling sensation spreads across my back and the pain stops. It worked like a charm! Yes! Finally time for nap. Tomorrow will be some tests in Quidditch, testing if people are still fit to fly with their brooms in the games where you try to catch some tiny winged ball. Then someone tries to throw you from your broom with two big balls and some people are throwing another ball to each other, trying to gain points. So much fun!

My eyes shut close and dreams fill my mind.

“Hide.

Don’t come out.

No matter what, stay hidden.”

Light escapes from sight when a secret door closes, a boy is whimpering inside in the darkness.

“Expelliarmus!” A man yells. Evil laughter echoes in the other room, “Spells like that will get you killed.”

Wooden stool fells to ground and plates shatter on the floor when the man runs other side of the dinner table.

The evil laughing man causes the boy to shiver. When he believed that nothing could be worse the evil man spoke again with words like poison, “Try this kind of spell instead. AVADA KEDAVRA!”

Flash of green light lit the room. It was the death spell. The man who hid the boy fells to ground with blank eyes, boy stares at the dead figure from a gap between the secret door and the door way. While shivering he covers his ears. He sways himself to sleep, staying hidden like he was told to do.

Reality hits me when I gasp for air. The nightmare haunts me almost every night. I bury my head on my hands. Cold sweat is covering my body and I am panting. Weak. You’re weak Jack.

Even naps seem to be too much, I can’t sleep without nightmares. I am tired but sleeping seems like the worst option if I want to actually rest. I look at the clock, I have slept for one hour. Not much but better than last night.

I rose up and dressed myself to my blue hoodie and on top of that I threw my black cape. Fresh air will clear my head like it always has. It is evening already when I walk downstairs. No one speaks to me and I prefer that way. No one in my way.

I walk across the school grounds and I sneak into the forbidden forest. I am walking towards my secret place. Place where I can be at peace. I turn around when I heard a branch breaking. I see no one.

POV Elsa

“Look Anna!” I told to my sister when we walked on the corridors. She looks towards the direction where I pointed. “Look at what exactly?” She exhaled. “Him! He is sneaking around! I bet that he is going to report to you-know-who’s minions. I mean why he didn’t get injured! They must have held back when the lightning hit him!” I shook Anna from her shoulders. “You really would love to spy on him, huh?” She grinned to me and I nodded while my eyes carefully watched Jack’s movements.

Anna snorted, “Fine then!” In silence we tailed Jack. When he entered to Forbidden Forest Anna gasped, “No way Elsa! We are not going in there!” I groaned, “BUT maybe that is why he went there!” I point at the woods. I drag my sister with me. I will bust him and show him a good reward for all the passive-aggressive-annoying-insulting stuff he has ever done.

The forest was dark and silent.

Crack.

“No you didn’t!” I exhaled to Anna who slowly lifted her foot from a branch. “Woops?” She giggled and placed hand over her mouth. Quickly I pushed her with me behind of a tree. I saw how Jack turned around and watched his surroundings. Phew, he didn’t see us.

He continued his way and then I saw an opening in the middle of the forest. “What is he doing?” Anna whispered when Jack sat on a rock. “Taking his shoes off from the looks of it?” He was near a pond.

I gasped when I saw him walking on top of the water. He was smiling. How can he be walking on top of--? I looked down on his feet, the pond was freezing beneath him. “Do you see that?!” Anna squealed and I nodded, “Uh,huh?” Jack started to run on the pond and it frozen solid. He was laughing and the ice seemed slippery.

“He uses elemental magic like you!” Anna pushed my shoulder. “M-maybe?” I whispered. “He must! He is really good at it! Hey, do you remember when you hurt me back then with your powers and--?” Anna was explaining when I told her to hush. We both gasped when Jack rose in the air for a moment, “You definitely can’t do that,” Anna said in surprised way. “No, No I can’t,” I whispered while I watched him.

Anna stood up, “Well then, I will get going. I am practicing stuff with Kristoff this evening, have fun at your spying!” She waved her hand at me when she left. “B-but?” I looked after her. “He is just having some fun Elsa! I mean, give him a break. He has no friends and he is being bullied,” Anna chirped to me. “Anna! That doesn’t make him rights to torment me!” My voice raised and Anna laughed.

“Ahem?” It was Jack. I turned around, “H-hi?” I smile to him and try to reach for my wand. Oh, Anna. You left me alone with him. “A spy?” He cocked his eyebrow when he poked my shoulder. “Just wandering in the woods, exercise,” I lied to him. “In Forbidden forest?” He smiled cunningly. “Yeah!” I snapped at him.

He laughed, “Never believed that from you. You might get suspended.” He winked his eye when he threw his shoes on his shoulder. He walked away. “What were you doing anyway!” I yelled to him.

“Umm.. stuff.. And you really are getting on my nerves now, missy,” he glared at me. My heart was pounding fast. “Well then I must put more effort on it, huh?” I stopped him by taking a hold from his hand. “You should not touch me, “ he said coldly but then his eyes widened. “Did you hear that?” He whispered.

“WHAT! Trying to lurk your way out, huh!” I yelled to him and he did a face palm. “You really are trouble,” his expression was almost painful looking. He pointed behind of me. I turned around.

“Gigantic scorpions? Really?” I said in horror when three of them were closing us. They were bigger than Jack. “Yep,” Jack said and pushed me behind of him. “Listen to me slytherin boy, I can handle myself!” I casted a spell that locked scorpions limps together. “Told you!” I smiled to him and he smiled back. He smiled?

He nodded towards castle’s direction, “Better head back together, just in case. You were just lucky.” He chuckled. “I am watching you,” I groaned to him and he smirked. “Watch as much as you want, ice girl,” he jerked his head slightly to his left. “Y-you know?” I exhaled and he laughed, “Yeah, after that ice shield I did. Elemental.” He was mocking me like in the sorting ceremony when I was selected to Ravenclaw.

His cold stare made me furious, “How dare you! You are Elemental too!”I went in front of him and I pushed him backwards. “No I am not,” he pulled his wand from his sleeve. “I used this, see?” He frosted a tree with an enchantment. He made me feel anger than before.

When we were out from the forest I saw him going to Hiccup’s place. My steps lead me back to castle. My angry walking echoed in the corridors, each step made a loud snap. People watched me going. I didn’t care about other people anymore.

I slammed the portrait open when I entered our chamber. I groaned and let myself sat on the sofa. “What is wrong?” Astrid came to me. “He.. He.. GAH!” I groaned. “Jack again,”  Astrid said in unison with Ariel who had just arrived. “Maybe if you would avoid him and then --,” Ariel started but I cut her off. “HOW could that be POSSIBLE! He is my partner in every class! He will screw up everything! I mean no one wants to be his partner, right?” I snapped to them. They looked at each other, “Umm.. I think that we will go to sleep. You should also.”

When I stood up I immediately walked to my bed, changed clothes and almost ruined my teeth with my angry brushing moves. Then I jumped to bed and stared at the ceiling when others had already fallen asleep. I was boiling inside. I turned around and buried my head in my pillow. I screamed on it and the sound got muffled so no one would wake up. I hate him, I thought to myself.
