A year later went by and not a single visit from Alex to the O'Rouke family was like silence with no laughter or smiles except if there was a family time or a trip to Hollywood for Heather's performance. Early in the morning, Heather was awoken and didn't feel too very good like she expected as she climbed out of bed to greet her mother who was making breakfast for the family. 

"Morning mom." She said in groggily tone.

"Morning Heather, how did you..." Her mother's words trailed off as she saw the sick facial of her daughter.

Heather began to have flu-like symptoms and her legs and feet swelled. She was taken to Kaiser Hospital, and they confirmed it was only the flu, but when symptoms continued, they diagnosed her as having Crohn's Disease, chronic inflammation of the intestine. 

"So, will her sickness go away any time soon doctor?" Kathleen asked.

"I would hope so. She may be put under medication for this symptom going through her body. Be sure to give her the medicine two times morning and night every day." The doctor said.

Heather sat in silence on the bed as she thought about what Alex told her was going to be true. This wasn't any type of symptom that the doctor would research upon it was something more than that. It made her want to cry in front of them to think about her death bed will await them. However, last year when Alex left she said she'll give her the cure for it so that things wouldn't go as bad as it would seem as long as her parents or sister doesn't find out about it.
