The next morning I was sleeping next to Heather in my arms as she slept peacefully against me. I got up to make a phone call to her parents telling her that she was fine and okay. They said they'll be over to get her and I had plenty of time to prepare breakfast. Last night's event was something I will never forget what Heather asked me.

Flashback

I was helping Heather to bed and was ready to give her the medicine as she looked at me dead serious.

"Alex, I heard about your conversation with Judith. She said that she wanted a sibling to be with her and you didn't know what to respond back to her."

"Yes, and?" 

"I was wondering if you can take me with you so that I can be in your life including with Judith." She asked as I stopped and looked at her shocked.

"Heather, I can't just kidnap you. It's wrong." 

"Maybe you can talk to my parents about it. I wouldn't mind living with you and I can come back to visit them."

"But I-"

"Please Alex?"

"....I'll thinks about it," I replied as I gave her the medicine as she took it and I lay beside her to comfort her so that she wouldn't be scared.

End of Flashback

I was finished preparing breakfast when I saw Heather come into the dining room happily ready to chow down until I heard a knock on the door to reveal her parents. Her parents and sister rushed in to see her all healthy again and did a family hug together making me smile.

"Heather don't you ever scare me like that again!" Kathleen yelled.

"Sorry mom, I had to go see Alex so she can give me the medicine and it worked. I'm all better!" She emphasized as they looked over at me as I sighed.

"I gave her the medicine and she is feeling fine. I saved her from having a cardiac arrest because it was almost February the time she almost died. You can thank me." 

"Alex..."

Jim walked over and said, "I'm very sorry about how we acted towards you. Can you ever forgive us as a thank you for saving my daughter's life?" 

"Yes." I smiled a little as Heather ran over to me and hugged me tightly around my waist.
