Dallas's POV:

Today was the day I moved from Las Vegas, Nevada to Chino, California I was extremely nervous, we were already halfway done with freshman year, but my father decided to cheat on my mom so she said we needed to leave, Vegas was too much for her now. I finished packing my room up, something I've been doing for days now, it's early about 12am mom wants me to be able to start school, I get dressed in shorts and a t-shirt with sneakers, I begin to bring my stuff to the moving truck, handing it to the movers that were helping. I did this until there was only heavy stuff left, which the movers took care of, only took us a half hour to load up our stuff. Then we were on the road, 6 hours later we arrived in our new home. The movers brought stuff in as I grabbed my backpack, transfer papers and my phone, I walked out spotting Cameron Dallas, this kid that was famous on YouTube, he walks over to me,

"Hi you must be Dallas Grey, I'm Cameron Dallas your neighbor. Welcome to Chino! You can ride with me to school if you would like, they asked me to give you the tour of school and help you out. Convenient I live next door to you," he smiles

I smile back, "Sure let me let my mom know and I'll be right there."

He nodded and smiled, "Okay."

I went to tell my mom, who was ecstatic about it,

"Yes honey go ahead! Your already making friends! I'm proud of you!" She says

I smile, "Mom I told you I'd try to make this work, so I'm trying and I know we're never going back to Vegas and dad's happy with that new family, I'm okay mom I'll try to fit in, maybe Cameron can help."

She smiled more, "That's the spirit!"

I laughed and waved, "See you later mom!"

"I'll be home late! Here's your key!" She says tossing me it

I catch it, "Right, nearly forgot about your new nursing job, I'll be in bed but I'll leave you your dinner in the fridge mom, I'm still going to cook! I promised I would do more where it's just us."

"Aw sweety your the best! Now go on and get to school, Cameron's waiting." She says smiling.

"Bye Mom love you!" I say leaving.

"Love you too baby bye!!" She says waving to us.

I get into Cameron's mom's car, I put my seatbelt on as Mrs. Dallas smiles at me,

"Hello, welcome to Chino! I'm Mrs. Dallas."

"I'm Dallas Grey, thank you, you all are so nice, it's great to feel welcomed to a new place." I reply.

"Of course dear, you're going to love it here, Cameron will show you everything fun, he has been talking about showing you the town for a week now, we're excited to have more people around than just Shawn Mendes, he's a good kid just younger than you two, how old are you dear?" She says.

"14, I'll be 15 in a few months." I say.

"Same age as Cameron, ain't that nice?" She smiles as she drives

"Yeah, I just hope I'll fit in here." I say.

Cameron smiles and puts an arm around me despite how long we've known each other, "You will, I got your back, plus I think they put you in all my classes."

I blushed a little, "Yeah? That's cool."

He laughs as we approach School, his mom stops and let's us out, "Thank you for the ride Mrs. Dallas."

"Anytime sweety!" She replies, "Bye Cam, I'll pick you guys up after school okay?"

We both nod, then head into school, we walk to the office and I get all the things I need, then we walk together to our first class.

"You can sit next to me," he smiles as he sits.

I smile back and sit next to him, "Thank you."

"No problem." He says.

Class starts, the whole day seems to fly by, Cameron introduces me to his friends, and in history we got field trip forms for a trip to London, the date for that was about 2 months out from where we are now towards the end of the school year. It was sorta pricey, but that was because we all needed passports as well so they priced that in and we would be taking a day to get our passports since it would take some time to get them in and we wanted them in time for the trip. Everyone was so welcoming, I was excited for the London trip, I know my mom would let me go as long as I contacted her daily when we were done for the day no matter the time. After everything that happened it seemed like this move was the best thing to happen to me.

I invited Cameron over for dinner seeing how my mom wouldn't be home until late, and she said it was okay, plus Cameron said he'd help me with my homework since I'm behind half a year from their school, he offered to get me caught up to where we were in all classes so that I wouldn't fall behind being new. I loved California and I didn't miss Vegas one bit.

"Do you want help cooking?" He asks.

I smile at him, "Sure. Hit that button the speaker, I kinda cook and dance it's something I always do."

He smiled back, "Yeah?" He hit play as Shape of You by Ed Sheeran begins.

I start singing and dancing along, Cameron joins in with me, grabbing my hand and spinning me around then pushing me back and pulling me towards him to the song, I laugh and sing along dancing, as we cook dinner. He was alot of fun to be around, the last guy I had been with tried to push me into things I wasn't ready for, Cameron was like a breath of fresh air in this new place, I felt at home already and I only just got to California this morning. I think this was going to be a good move, I wondered what tomorrow would bring. After dinner Cameron left to go home to shower and get some rest, I hopped into the shower and washing up, I get dressed in my PJs and lay on my bed, I stare at the boxes that were all over my room, I hadn't unpacked yet, that would be a tomorrow after school and all weekend thing. Tomorrow is Friday! I'm pumped and my mom will be home before I get out of school, so I can talk to her about the London trip. After what seemed like forever I drifted off into a deep sleep.
