Lucy had planned it all for herself: wait until everyone is asleep, pack up what she has, get her puppy and finally, catch the next train for Manhattan.

Quietly as possible, she packed up her stuff in a suitcase and grabbed her blanket until she walked out quietly and dashed outside the door but she left a note for the kids.

She got one ticket for Manhattan just in case is she needed to get on a plane.

She looked back at the orphanage and ran away.

She ran outside and called out her puppy as it ran out and barked as she brought out a leash for the dog.

She smiled and then walked all the way to the train station where she got in a train departing for the airport as she got in quickly as possible.

She and her puppy were sitting in one seat while a woman was in another.

"You heading somewhere?" The woman asked Lucy as she nodded and said Manhattan.

The woman nodded and then the train took off to the airport and Lucy stayed up for the whole trip.

Lucy arrived at the airport and showed them her ticket as they let her on and her puppy stayed on her lap the whole entire time to keep her calm on the flight.

She fell asleep on the flight to Manhattan and had a dream where people wouldn't judge her for what she looked like.

Lucy woke up and got off the plane as she decided to head over to the old castle ruins and saw many gargoyles there but was unfazed by how they looked and decided to sleep under one that looked like he was thinking but couldn't by her puppy barking at a worker.

"What is it?" She groggily said as she rubbed her eye and saw the men at work so she got up and sat in the flowers so she could sleep for a few.

Until one man decided to get her to his place.

"Young lady, why are you here?" He asked as she held her puppy in her arms.

"I ran away." She blankly said as he rubbed her head.

"I have no family, the kids were treating me wrong and they threatened me as well." She held her puppy closer.

"How about I become your family?" He said as she looked up and he smiled.

"Really?" She said as he nodded.

"What is your name sir?" She asked the man as she held his hand and into the helicopter.

"David Xanatos."
