3rd person pov

The three had gone through part of a Hyperion base, clearing out Loaders and workers before taking a long drop which didn't sit well with Y/N. After calming a bit they made their way to the small village.

Maya: Wow... this place looks like shit

Gaige: They've all got Skull Shivers, so it's understandable they don't want to do any up keep

Y/N placed the beacon down, pressing a button before it opened up like a flower and began transmitting something as a blue light eminated from the middle. He let out a tired breath and looked out to the small town.

Jack: Angel. You can stop pretending to help the bad guys now, Angel?

Suddenly Loaders crashed to the ground making Y/N sigh in annoyance, going to grab his sniper he realised it broke so he grabbed his pistol instead. Maya and Gaige got to work, running down the robots as Y/N stayed by the beacon.

More were sent down, a few EXP-Loaders running to the beacon so Y/N began firing. He caught one of their legs, the others trampling it causing the Loader to explode which set off a chain reaction.

Maya used Phaselock before Deathtrap slashed through the Loaders. The teen slid under a knocked over piece of trash, coming out the other side and mowing down a Loader in front of her.

The siren threw her shotgun, catching the arm of a Gun-Loader before a Shield-Surveyor flew in and began providing a shield to the Loader. Maya's shotgun reappeared so she gunned them both down.

Y/N hopped down from the platform, seeing a gun laying on the floor he picked it up. It was a dahl assault rifle which made him cringe but a Loader ran towards him so he looked up and fired.

Turning around he gunned down an EXP-Loader running to the beacon. They seemed to stop before even more of the Loaders came crashing down, Y/N reloading as they unfolded.

Gaige hopped off her high ground and landed atop a Loader, reaching down she grabbed some wires and fiddled with them before jumping iff and kicking the Gun-Loader, it's eye turning green.

The Loader began fighting the other ones before a Badass-Loader landed atop it, a Constructor and a good number of Hot-Loaders following shortly as Gaige began taking a few steps back.

Y/N: Uhh.. Angel, you wanna get that fast travel up and running?

Angel A.I: Give me a few more seconds...

Maya and Gaige ran towards the beacon where Y/N was, an absurd amount of Loaders following them and sadly they were low on ammo. Suddenly something broke open to reveal a fast travel station.

Running towards it they were swiftly transported to Sanctuary, Gaige letting out a sigh of relief before Y/N threw his arms in the air and breathed a hefty sigh, letting his arms fall back down.

Y/N: Angel, sorry i doubted you

Angel A.I: It's alright. I'm glad you all arrived safely

Timeksip

Moxxi: What's got you down, sugar?

Y/N: I think it's nearly dying like... 10 times in the span of a few days

She hummed, finishing cleaning a glass before she placed it down as Y/N nursed his own drink slowly. Despite what happened before, even though he didn't remember, Y/N came back to Moxxxi's.

Moxxi: Is it the fact that you've come face to face with your own mortality so many times, that you're not sure if it happens next time it'll be your last?

Y/N: H-Huh- i mean, yeah. How did you know?

Moxxi: I once told my Ex-husband. "If you're smart, look sexy" of course i convinced him to get fat, but that's all in the past now

Y/N: Guess you can't judge a book by it's cover

Moxxi: Nope. Now, go do something crazy while you can

She leaned in and kissed his cheek, taking the glass from hand before calling out it was closing time, earning a handful of groans from some people. Y/N rubbed his cheek before walking out the bar.

Running a hand through his hair he sighed, looking to the new sniper that he brought from Marcus, at a stupidly high price, Y/N used the weapon slot kit to digitize and put it away.

He began wondering the dark streets, although it was more illuminated by moon light due to being higher then before... as it was now a flying city. Y/N turned his head to see Gaige walking to their shared housing so he walked up to her.

Y/N: Hey

Gaige: Oh, uh, hi. What's up?

Y/N: Had an insightful talk with Moxxi, and it got me thinking... there's alot of things i want to do before i die

Gaige: Okay... like what? Something corny like finding love, right?

Y/N: Pretty much. Being a Hammerlock i'll probably be married to some girl from a family i've never heard off

Stopping in front of their housing Gaige unlocked the door, Maya had came in here a while ago and has fallen asleep. They shut the door quietly before turning on a small table side lamp and sitting down.

Gaige: Your point, i can see why you'd want that... well, it's no love, but...

She placed her robotic hand atop his making Y/N look at her in slight confusion. He quickly came to realise what Gaige ment, and for simplicity's sake, it was hard to keep things quiet that night.
