Skinny!Steve x Bucky (Pre-WWII)
Ever since Steve's mom passed away (RIP Sarah we love you) Steve and Bucky have shared an apartment that they can afford. Everyone in the neighborhood saw them as the two inseparable best friends who will always look out for each other. As true as that is, the boys knew that they were more. Whether it be them snuggling on a cold winter's day or  just laying with each other on the old sofa as Steve draws and Bucky complaining about the heat, the two were happy. One day, Bucky had to work later than originally planned because Steve was in need of more inhaler medicine. Returning home to Steve after a long day, Bucky is greeted by his adorable blond-haired punk. "Welcome home, Buck!" He greets the tall brunet, pulling him down into a sweet kiss.

Now that Steve is as big as Bucky (bigger, actually...thank you SS serum!) he can be held nice and tight and not have to worry about being crushed. Also, he no longer has to pull Bucky down to his level to kiss him. A simple grab and a walk into a corner somewhere and the two can share a flirtatious kiss. Of course poor Peggy had to cover for them but she's a good sport. Hey, Bisexual Steve is adorable (and has a thing for brunettes in the military ;P)

Steve and Bucky, along with countless other homosexual couples, were always scared. Back in the 40's being gay was seriously frowned upon and people may have even tried to hurt or kill you.

During one of Bucky and Steve's eye-fucking sessions, Sam had mumbled under his breath "it's ok to be gay....we all know you two are anyway..." and Steve though he was going crazy. Later on that day when Steve had rescued Bucky from the water and they were in a safe place, the two shared a long awaited kiss (and they forgot Sharon and Sam were in the car..whoops?)
