[Marinette x female reader]

Marinette is a normal girl with a normal life.... except she has two HUGE secrets. One is that she is the superhero ladybug and the other is that she is a lesbian. Now the second sounds like not a huge deal but her family is super against everything lgbtq+

While as ladybug she found the most beautiful girl. She has (h/l) hair that is a beautiful (h/c) that shines in the sun. She has (s/c) which beautifully compliments her (e/c) eyes. Now marinette did the smartest thing she could do... she followed the beautiful girl home and then knocked on her window.

"Ladybug?" The girl asks surprised. The girl has liked ladybug romantically for a while.

"Hi. Sorry to barge into your room... but I just wanted to tell you that you are very pretty and maybe we could go on a date?" Ladybug says with a bright blush on her fave that's just lighter than her mask.

A smile grew on the girls face. "Yes.  I'd love to Ladybug."

"Can we also keep this our little secret. Paris doesn't know I like girls."

"Of course. By the way I'm (Y/N)." She introduces.

"Nice to meet you." Ladybug says shaking her hand.  Ladybug turns to leave but (y/n) stops her.

"Text me the details." She says handing a paper with her number on it.  Then the girl pecks Ladybugs cheek.

"Thank.  Uh I better get back on patrol." She smiles before jumping out the window.

Now recently Adrien Agrest has started going to school, the same school as Marinette.  She thinks he's a decently attractive male, but she stutters around him all the time.  Her best friend Alya thinks is because of a crush, marinette lied and said it was, but it's really because she's intimidated by him and the way he could end her career before it begun.

"Gurl! There he is go talk to him!" Alya says pushing her best friend into her 'crush'.

"Oh. Uh hi... uh Adrien." She stutters blushing in embarrassment.

"Hi Marinette!" He waves before walking to nino, his best friend.

"Gurl that was good!" Alya squeals. Marinette looks down sadly, this is what happens every single day there is school.

Skipping to later, Alya and marinette are just hanging out and marinette is sketching an outfit for her date that is ladybug themed, so she isn't in her suit.

"Girl this is great!  You are so talented!" Alya gushes.  "Who's it for?"

"Well Ladybug asked for it so she could do things out of her suit but still hiding her identity." Marinette says not looking up from the design.

"Why would Ladybug need a formal dress?"

"I just design it and I didn't question her."

The day on the date arrives.  Marinette puts the dress on and her mask and twirls in the mirror looking at her handiwork

"Tikki? Do you think this will go good?" Marinette asks her kwami.

"Of course! Just make sure your mask stays on.  And have enough money!" Tikki chirps.

"Thank you!  Tikki spots on!" She yells transforming.  She flies out of her window and to the ally next to the meeting spot and take her transformation off and hides Tikki in her bag.

"Hell's (y/n)." Marinette says when she sees her date.  She has her hair (in space buns/curled slightly).  She's wearing a deep red lipstick and some basic makeup.  But marinette was in awe on the dress she was wearing. It flatters everything about her.

"Hey ladybug." She smiles.

"Call me LB while we are out.  And you look beautiful." Marinette says offering her arm to her date who thankfully takes it.

"Thank you LB.  you look stunning tonight."

"Thank you.  Ah here we are." The two walk into a semi fancy restaurant.  More fancy then a diner but not as fancy as a place that has a four course meal.  The two were seated in a booth that is indented in the wall with a curtain.

"So LB what do you do. You know besides saving Paris?" (Y/n) chuckles.

"I love to design clothing.  I actually made the dress I'm wearing."

"That's amazing!  I love being in front of the camera. Acting or modeling, it doesn't matter."

"Maybe I could make you a dress?"

"I would love that!" She smiles. Marinette feels her face heat up.

After the two finish dinner they start to just wander the streets of Paris.

"I've enjoyed this." (Y/n) laughs.

"I did too." Marinette sighs.  Her hand subconsciously grabbing the other girls.  They stop underneath the Eiffel Tower and just look at each other.

"Ladybug can I kiss you?" (Y/n) asks.  Marinette nods and the two lean in.

A second later the twos lips connect and everything felt right.  The world seemed to melt away.  And just as quickly as the kiss started it ended.

"Can I take you home?" Marinette asks after a few minutes of them looking into each others eyes. (Y/n) nods.  Marinette goes into the nearest ally and transforms.

"Thank you for the wonderful night." (Y/n) says as she's placed on the ground.

"I should thank you for letting me have the honor of taking you out." Ladybug sighs.  She pecks her date one more time before leaving.

Three years later and the two girls have been steadily dating for exactly three years.  Marinette has shown (y/n) her secret identity so they can date in her civilian for.  At age 19 they are legally allowed to do whatever, and with the legalization of same sex marriage in Paris, marinette plans on proposing.

There is a graduation dance at marinettes school.  Everyone she knows is going to be there and she decided that there she will propose to her girlfriend.

The night before the dance marinette transforms for patrol.  She spots Chat Noir sitting on the Eiffel Tower.

"Hey Chat." Ladybug says sitting next to him.

"Hey Ladybug." He says smiling sadly.

"What's wrong?" Ladybug asks concerned for her close friend.

"Why don't you like me?  I've been trying to get you to like me for almost four years... and you never have... why?" He chokes out.

Ladybug starts laughing.

"Why are you laughing?" Chat says offended.

"I'm sorry.  I thought it was charming, all your attempts but the thing is I like girls." Ladybug says after stopping her laughing.

"Oh.... why didn't you tell me?"

"At first I didn't know.  I was 15 and suddenly a superhero!  I was confused about everything.  But then I met this wonderful woman who has been my girlfriend for three years.  Chat I know I should have told you... but I didn't want all of Paris to know."

"It's ok.  But my lady can I see who you are?" Chat says reverting back to his cheeky self.

"Tomorrow." Ladybug says after a long pause.

"Wait really?" He says all giddily.

"Yes.  Meet me at 2 am sharp here.  I should go, I have to finish up something for my lady." Ladybug says teasing chat at the end.  She jumps off and hurried home.

The dance is about to start and (y/n) just walked out of marinettes bathroom in the dress she made her.  Her hair is in a braid crown and she has natural makeup on.

"You look beautiful papillon." Marinette says to her lover.

"You look better Lovebug." She says kissing marinette.

"I need to grab one thing before we go.  Will you downstairs?" Marinette asks.  (Y/n) nods and goes down stairs.  Marinette grabs the engagement ring and puts it in a secret pocket she made in her dress.

Marinette walks downstairs to see her love and her parents talking happily.

"(Y/n), let's go." Marinette says grabbing her hand and dragging her away.

"Bye Tom! Bye Sabine!" (Y/n) calls behind her.

The dance went by well.  Marinette and her girlfriend did not dance because (y/n) knew that marinette was still closeted, unlike her.  Marinette suddenly went up to nino and asked if she could have the mic and have a song played in a few minutes.

"H-hi everyone.  Sorry to interrupt all of you." Marinette starts.  "But I'd like to have a special dance with my special someone." She says more confidently.

"(Y/n) would you come here?" Marinette asks and the girls dance to the song nino plays while everyone watches.

"I have one more thing to do." Marinette quickly says before grabbing the ring and getting onto one knee.

"Oh gosh..." (y/n) says when she sees this.

"(Y/n). We've been dating for three years and every day knowing your mine fills me with hope and joy.  But I fear loosing you, so will you marry me?" Marinette says only looking at her papillon.

"Of course lovebug." She says before marinette slips a simple ring onto her finger and kissing her.  Everyone around claps and Alya cries.

"Gurrrl why didn't you tell me!" Alya cried.

"Sorry I was scared on your reaction." Marinette says blushing.

"What about Adrien?" Alya whispers.

"I'm more intimidated than anything so that's why I was so nervous to talk to him." Marinette explains.

"Lovebug, we should tell your parents." (Y/n) whispers in marinettes ear. Marinette reluctantly agrees.

"Mama! Papa!" Marinette calls walking into the bakery her parents own.

"Yes dear?" They call back.

"I shave something important to tell you." She says and they sit on the living room couch.

"Mama... Papa... I'm engaged." She tells them.

"What!?! Who!!!" Sabine yells.

"It's most likely that Adrien boy." Tom says to calm his wife down.

"You've met her. (Y/n) is my fiancée." Marinette says.

"You and her??" Tom says utterly confused.

"YOU LIKE GIRLS!?!?!??" Sabine explodes in anger.

"Yes. and if you don't like that I guess I'll just leave.

"GET OUT!" Sabine sneers.

Marinette and (y/n) get marinettes stuff and leave.

"It's ok marinette! If you parents don't accept you then why bother?" Tikki chimes in, "and things will be fine soon."

"Thanks Tikki." Marinette sighs

2 am rolls around and ladybug has been pacing the top of the Eiffel Tower for at least five minutes. Still upset because of her parents. A small chunk breaks her thoughts.

"My lady." Chat says kissing his partners hand.

"Hey Chat." Ladybug says sadly.

"What's wrong bugaboo?"

"I told my parents today... I got kicked out." She explains.

"I'm sorry. Here let's get your mind off it." He says standing up and leading her into the small room. "Plagg claws in." He says detransforming.

"Adrien?" Ladybug gasps.

"Hi." He says sheepishly.

"I guess it's my turn." Ladybug takes a sharp breath in, "Tikki spots off." She whispers.

"Marinette!" Adrien gasps.

"Hey Adrien..." She smiles.

"I'm glad it was you."
