3rd P.O.V.

It been a few years since Y/n and Rogue started dating after Y/n charms finally got through to her and she finally accepted his offer to date him before becoming his girlfriend. During those few years together, everything seems to be going fine for the both of them especially as members of the X-Men.

However, since the professor assassination at the U.N. and learning that the professor gave everything to Magneto under his will including the X-Men itself. Things started to change around the mansion more specifically Y/n and Rogue relationship toward each other.

Since Magneto arrival to the mansion, Rogue and Magneto started acting weird around each other which Y/n took notice along with Morph teasing him about the idea of Rogue and Magneto spending so much time alone together in the danger room for the whole day and day after.

At first Y/n didn't want to believe it, thinking it was just all in his head but after eavesdropping on Rogue conversation with Magneto in Xavier's office and the illusion he saw from Goblin Queen. Y/n came to a decision that he needed to confront Rogue about her relations with Magneto and understand why she been acting weird lately.

So, when Magneto invited Rogue to go with him to Genosha. Y/n made sure to join them so he can use this chance to speak with Rogue in private.

Late at night....

After exploring the city of Genosha, Y/n contacted Rogue to speak with her privately before the party. While he waited for her to arrive, he was thinking to himself if he's making the right choice.

Y/n: Is this right...? I mean Rogue and I been dating for so long now, I'm sure there's an explanation behind all of this. What if I'm making a mistake, I could be wrong about her cheating on me with Magneto. But that illusion I saw and the schedule for the danger room...

Rogue: Hey, sugar...

Y/n spots Rogue by the window as she makes her way inside.

Y/n: Rogue...

Rogue: You needed to speak with about something.

Y/n: Yeah... I wanted ask you something important and I need you to be honest with me.

Rogue looks at Y/n nervously.

Y/n: I want to know what is your deal with Magneto. I mean ever since he showed up to the mansion, you been acting off.... Is there something I need know?

Rogue look at Y/n for a moment before sighing.

Rogue: Take a seat, sugar.

Taking a seat like she asked, Rogue sit next to him as she start explaining herself.

Rogue: There's something you need to know about my past.

Rogue then start explaining her history between her and Magneto from way back before she met the X-men or Y/n.

Y/n couldn't believe what he was hearing, learning Rogue used to be in a relationship with Magneto and not only that discovering she used to be intimate with him.

Y/n: So... you and Magneto used to be a thing. Why didn't you tell me about this?

Rogue: I just wanted everything to stay in the past. I didn't want you or the X-men to judge me about it.

Y/n: Ok, I understand that part but what about now. I noticed you and him have been acting weird lately since the day, he showed up at the mansion. You basically been spending more time with him than with me!

Rogue: I know! I know...

Y/n: Please don't tell me, you still have feelings for him or at least you didn't get psychical with each other when you were alone with him.

Rogue didn't make eye contact giving Y/n the idea that she did get physical with him.

Rogue: ....

Y/n: Oh god...

Rogue: I'm sorry, Y/n...

There was a moment of silence between them.

Y/n: Where did you go before arriving here...?

Rogue: Y/n-

Y/n: Please just tell me! No more secrets between us...

Rogue: .... Ok.

Getting up from her seat, Rogue walk away for a bit keeping her back to him.

Rogue: I went to Erik's place... he asked me to be his queen for Genosha.

Y/n was immediately in a state of shock after hearing, he couldn't respond so instead he pulled his card and started tossing them in the fire one by one.

Rogue: When I joined the X-men, Erik said he wouldn't want me to lose another family. He acted like it never happened... we both did.

Y/n: So... are you going to accept his offer?

Rogue: If Genosha showed us anything is that we don't need to be afraid of change and if I can play a bigger role in bettering the world. Well, that's the whole reason I became a X-men...

As the last card fell into the fire being his lucky card, Y/n looked backed her as Rogue looked backed at him.

Y/n: Since the beginning we first met, you rejected my advances and I respected that. However, when you finally decided to give me a chance, it was the most happiest day of my life.

Rogue: I know sugar, it was the same for me. But everytime I looked at you. I only see the things I couldn't do...

Y/n: I that the truth...?

Rogue: I CAN'T TOUCH YOU, Y/N! Your heart may beat for me but I can't feel it. You... You light up everything you touch but never me.

Y/n was heartbroken after hearing how she really feels about him.

Y/n: Something be deeper than skin...

Rogue: Not this...

Y/n: I wager that fool will break your heart in two...

Rogue: Y/n always knows the odds is that it.

Y/n: In this game he do till then is over between us. We're no longer lovers or friends just acquaintance, Mon Ami.

He kissed Rogue's hand one last time before walking away from her. Leaving them both heartbroken but Y/n was the most hurt between them as he lost the woman he loved.

Afterwards....

After Rogue and Y/n break up, everything started going down south. While everyone was busy celebrating, Trask send his sentinels to attack the island which resulted with many mutants dying in the process by the sudden ambush. Y/n, Rogue, and Magneto did their best to fend off the Sentinels and save as many mutants as possible but it was too much for them to handle alone.

At the end of it all, Y/n knew what he had to do in order to save everyone. Rushing head first toward the giant machine, Y/n was about use his power to make the Sentinel blow up but got stabbed in the stomach. Nothing less he uses this chance to grab the metal connected to the Sentinel to charge up before saying his last words.

Y/n: The name, Y/n, Mon Ami. Remember it!

This resulted with both Y/n and the giant Sentinel blowing up together finally putting an end of the giant machine carnage. After the dusk settled all that was left is the corpse of Y/n as Rogue cradle his lifeless body in her arms.

Rogue: *sobbing* Sugar... I-I can't feel you...

The memories of her and Y/n spending time together rush through her mind as she cried even harder. Remembering the last thing, she said to him before breaking up with him.

Rogue: I'm sorry, Y/n...
