Sunny is visiting Faraway today, and Aubrey is.. anxious. It had been three months since they had last seen Sunny, and while everyone was able to forgive Sunny, a lot was sill left unsaid. Aubrey had a plan back at that sleepover. Look Sunny strait in those beautiful eyes, those eyes that to were when she first saw them again, like a sunrise after an endless night, and tell him how she felt...

Things didn't go as planned. Sunny got hurt and left, she... didn't get to se him open  his beautiful eyes. Those eyes she found so calming, that she could get lost in for hours. The weight of Mari, the shock of Sunny and Basil being hurt, she froze, and missed her chance to confess.

She isn't sure if can now. She isn't sure if Sunny still feels the same. It was pretty obvious back in the day, but now? After the city? She doesn't know if she still can, if she still has the courage to...

She takes a deep breath and exits the house anyways, at least eager to see him again...

Sunny gets off the bus, eager to see his friends again. To see Kel, the upbeat energetic dude who saved him from his dreams, to see Basil, his best friend who had only good intentions from the very start, to see Hero, a big brother he can always count on and to see Aubrey...

What does he say to her. After all this? He almost wishes to be honest with how he feels, his thoughts wandering as he walks under the sunrise through the emerald, dew covered grass. How does he say what he wants to say? That pink hair that makes his face match it in color, that kind smile, so elusive yet so sweet, and that stern supportive tone. Firm yet kind, the balance he needs to push himself, that she offers in times of need. He...

He has to be honest, worse case sinerio, they stay friends.

His confidence leaves him as he spots that pink hair, those green eyes, like emeralds, and that soft smile.

"Hey Sunny," Aubrey greets.

His eyes sparkle with that glow she knows so well, that twinkle she needs to see to when she feels down. That smile that melts her heart every time.

It's him.

"Can we talk?" Aubrey inquires.

Sunny nods. Aubrey takes a deep breath, going all in and collecting herself despite her face becoming the same pink as her hair, "I'm going to just say it outright cause you're cute but a little dense, but... I like you a lot. How do you feel?"

His eyes shine like the Sun with joy, answering without words. His mind races and he looks into those emerald eyes. He's estatic and he just...

Hugs her.

Aubrey feels a warmth wrap around her body. She feels at ease and safe in his arms as she hugs him back, closing her eyes and savoring this moment...

Sunny recalls Aubrey's home and how badly he doesn't want to see her return there. His mom isn't around much so...

He makes an offer, "Home?"

"What?" Aubrey inquires, confused.

Sunny points towards the bus, "Home?"

"You're asking if I wanna crash with you after you leave?" Aubrey inquires.

Sunny nods.

Aubrey smiles softly at him, to go somewhere better, where she can feel safe and happy and feel the warmth of his embrace everyday...

It's... everything she's ever wanted.

"My mom won't care," Aubrey replies, "It sounds nice."

She smiles and takes his hand, a warmth in her palm causing joy to spread across her face as she reminds, "Come on. The others are waiting..."
