Mari lives AU

Mari was tired of watching and nothing happening as she grabbed the discarded Valentine from the trash.

"I dunno about this," Hero protests, "This is Sunny's choice."

"You really think he's gonna get rejected by Aubrey?" Mari inquires, "You don't think they'll both be happier?"

"I do but..." Hero sighs, "Look, Aubrey has bigger problems unless we can get her out of that home, Sunny is gonna wonder what goes on there, being closer and... we need to fix that or... Sunny you know he lets things boil and then explodes."

"Aubrey's mom is gonna be in jail by the end of the week I cover bases," Mari assures, "I'm giving this to Aubrey on his behalf. After all..."

There's a knock on the door, "I didn't want her home when cps arrives..."

Aubrey read the note and was cuddling Sunny by the end of the night, the two sleeping peacefully in the other's arms on the couch as Mari placed a blanket over them.

She smiles, a sense she's done what right, her mind ponders what would happen if she wasn't here but...

That'll never happen, the recital went great. If it didn't....

She decides she should just call it a night, happy the two of them are happy...
