When I started Playing Hero I didn't ship this. It was only in the plot for thematic and character reasons.

But by the end of the story I kinda did.

And now no one writes it.

Oops.

So...

Screw it

"Oh ho ho ho!" She laughs joyfully as she approaches the young man, "Finally I am in the waking world! Hero! We can finally be together!"

Hero doesn't respond, Sweetheart notices this. Why isn't he happy or at least angry. He just looks sad. He has such a cute smile. She would rather see that, it hurts her heart seeing him like this.

"Yes it is I!" Sweetheart adds, "Who haunted the dreams of your dear friend Sunny!"

"OK..." Hero replies solemnly, "So... what now? If the dream world is a parallel realm it doesn't help me."

OK this won't do. Something's wrong with him. She can tell. She drops the act of fake confidence and opens her arm, "Hey... are you OK?"

Hero breaks down crying, sobbing out, "No..."

She embraces him assuring, "Hey... hey... it's OK to cry. Tell me, what's wrong?"
