You were never the most sociable student in Beacon, you were always alone the only one you talked to is your teammates; Rose, Alex, and Liza. However you barely talked to them, when they tried to start a conversation with you, but you just gave a quick answer that was all. This made them concern

It was just another day at Beacon team (t/n) was in class Prof. Port was just talking about his past life you didn't listen instead just scribbling on your own notes, that's when Prof. Ports told that he saved someone from a horde of Beowolves this caused for tears to build up in your eyes, unknown to you a pair of silver eyes is staring at you

*Ruby's POV*

I noticed [y/n]'s tears threatening to fall from his eyes, this made me concerned I know he wasn't the type of guy who would open his heart to someone but I'm willing to try, I felt a tap on my shoulder and saw Yang with a sly smile

Yang: I can't believe my little sister is in love~

Ruby: Y-Yang... please be quiet he might hear you

Yang: oh come on Rubes, why don't you tell him already maybe he will return it

We are at Combat Class, Ms. Goodwitch now decide who will be fighting

[y/n] prepared his gear which consist of gauntlets that can change into arm blades and a rifle, he is now in front of Cardin

He charged at him and swings his mace downward however [y/n] manage to parried his attacks and kicked Cardin away

Cardin: lucky shot.... I guess you should've used your skill in saving the ones you love

*2nd Person's POV*

Tears fall from your eyes, students mumble in which you hear along the line of 'how pathetic' 'he doesn't deserve to be a huntsman', or 'what a weakling' you were about to breakdown however you heard a voice, of one of your friends

Ruby: EVERYONE SHUT IT!!! YOU ALL DON'T KNOW THE PAIN HE'S THROUGH.... WHAT DO YOU KNOW? THAT'S WHY HE'S TRAINING TO BE A HUNTSMAN TO PREVENT THAT FROM HAPPENING AGAIN...

Silent filled the room, that's when Your Teammates smile and cheered for you

Rose: well said Ruby...!! [y/n] your past doesn't define you, we're here for you!!!

Alex: that's right buddy, Maria wouldn't want you to be chained down in the past.... see the present in front of you!! and look towards the future!!!

Liza: [y/n]... please let us in don't push us away... that's what friends are we look out for each other

Yang: don't carry all the burden yourself... you're not alone in this world

You stood up and punched your face much to the surprise of everyone, you then opened your eyes and smile

Cardin: so what if... you cannot protect everyone!!!

Golden Flames surrounded you and it took a form of a powerful creature

The audience were in amazement as the creature flies around the arena it then went to you and engulf you in it's flames but you weren't hurt instead in increases your strength and they saw you as the golden flames surrounds you

[y/n]: My Semblance, Eternal Phoenix... an ability that lets me tap into the flames of the Immortal Bird itself and control it's power so that I can fight without limitations... now let's continue

You form your weapon into gauntlets then your hands were engulf by flames and you punched Cardin that burned out his aura by 30% however you were just holding back

[y/n]: Not done yet.... Immortal Blaze Edge!!!

You Slashed Cardin several times until his aura is gone declaring you the winner (a/n: End song here)

Timeskip

After that you were finished changing back to your uniform when you went outside you saw Ruby you then walked up to her

[y/n]: hey Ruby

Ruby: that match was awesome [y/n]...

[y/n]: thank you... for the compliment and...

Ruby: [y/n]?

[y/n]: thank you for encouraging me it really mean a lot

Ruby: oh... no problem... hey [y/n]?

[y/n]: yeah?

Ruby: is there someone you like?

She was blushing

 Her head went down and she walked away

Ruby: I hope you and her get together

You then grabbed her hand stopping her

She turned around and lunged at you enveloping you in a tight hug, you hugged her back

Ruby: I'm so happy!!!

You both then pulled away and stare into each other's eyes, you realized that you both are leaning in and your lips met, the sensation was soft and sweet she wrapped her arms around your neck while you wrapped your own on her waist, once you pulled away with a blush on both of your faces

Ruby: I love you [y/n]

[y/n]: and I love you Ruby

You were leaning in again but you both stopped when you heard a snapping sound you looked to the side and saw Yang holding her scroll along with the rest of team RWBY and your team with huge grin on their faces

Yang: aww so cute~

Rose: posting it on facebook

[y/n]/Ruby: G-G-GIVE IT TO ME!!!

You both chased your teams the entire day, after that you and Ruby became official and you spend the rest of your days with your special Rose.... not Rose Blaze.... Ruby Rose!!!

For one to become strong, they must not be chained down by their past instead look in front for the present and walk towards the future.
