Valentine's Day with Mystogan.

Valentine's Day had arrived and you were ready to tell Mystogan how you feel about him. That is.. If he actually came back home from his mission. He had been gone almost four months and you were missing your best friend dearly.

You had only entered the guild minutes ago when you finished setting up a cute, little picnic made only for Mystogan and yourself; you knew he was going to come home today- he had to!

Mystogan and yourself went together like a lock and key, you both just fit perfectly and you absolutely loved your relationship. The man with blue hair was always serious and so formal while you were fun and liked to do anything you pleased.

In the Fairy Tail guild, your eyes were trained on the guild doors as the master sighed at your childish behaviour. You were sitting on the bar next to the master with your legs crossed and your arms were holding your head up while the master also had his legs crossed with a beer in his hand.

"Must you continue to stare like that, (Y/N)? You don't even know if he's coming back today."

Your eyes narrowed slightly but they never left the doors and you pouted, opening your mouth to answer, "Tch, he'll be coming any minute now.. I can feel it in my bones!"

Mira giggled at your stubborn nature and the other guild members like Lucy, Gray and Natsu watched with a bewildered expression not understanding what the fuss was about.

"Whose coming?" Lucy uttered out towards Cana who was also watching with her beer in hand.

"I'm surprised Natsu and Gray have no idea what she's talking about- she's obviously waiting for Mystogan 'cause it's Valentine's Day."

"Oh yeah! She's waiting for him just like every Valentine's Day!" Natsu exclaimed with a grin, smirking as Gray also seemed to remember.

"She's with Mystogan?!" Lucy exclaimed with a bewildered expression covering her face. You smiled and nodded proudly- obviously you weren't really with him but you planned to be. And then Gray just had to rain on your parade,

"With? Hah- she wishes!"

Obviously you knew what would happen next as Gray's clothes flew off and Natsu was yelling at him, spewing insults for ruining the happy mood that was previously expressed on the day of love.

"SHUT IT YOU FREEZER!"

"FREEZER!? IS THAT THE BEST YOU GOT YOU PYROMANIAC?"

Their heads clashed and they were only ignored but the master had had enough, sighing as his fist began growing about twenty times bigger to smash it into the two wizards, managing to temporarily knock out two birds with one stone.

You laughed at their quarrelling before you felt your eyes suddenly dropping just about every other time someone special came back from their mission.

"H-he's.... Her-..re" Natsu murmured tiredly- trying his hardest to fight the spell but losing the battle just like everyone except the master. You growled in annoyance becoming extremely tired and not wanting to give up but you lazily smiled when you noticed the doors opening through your hazy vision as a dark-dressed Mage entered the guild when you heard Master Makarov yawning as he greeted Mystogan home while you greeted sleep, falling before you felt someone catch you.

You don't know how much time had passed but when you opened you eyes you were in your home that was shared with Mystogan. The man was nowhere to be found and you sat up, opening your mouth to call out to him when a yawn interrupted you.

Realising what had happened- you jumped and laughed when the tiredness finally wore off and ran towards the living room, hoping to find your best friend there. You caught him making something in the kitchen and yelped in glee which successfully gained his attention but you were too fast for him when you jumped on his back just when he was about to turn around.

He moved forward with an 'oomph!' and you didn't catch the smile on his face when he caught your legs as you exclaimed in his ear, hugging his torso as if it was your life source; he may as well be.

"Happy Valentine's Day Mystogan! I missed you so much, be my Valentine!"

He smiled at your words, accepting your request as you were the only reason he had decided to come back to the guild. He knew you wouldn't forgive him if he didn't come home on this day as he knew all too well that you tended to get into Magnolia's festivities quite a lot.

"Of course I will (Y/N)." He answered as he held you up on his back, jumping slightly when you gasped dramatically and struggled to land your two feet back on the ground.

The man turned around to look at you questioningly, slightly disappointed that you got off of him in such a rush but his mood shot back up when you answered his unspoken question.

"Mysto-Chan! I have a surprise for you, Hurry!" You yelled with a smile on your face, beyond happy when you thought about how you were right when you said he would be coming home today. But nevertheless he quickly agreed to your request, not expecting a surprise on a day that was spent in romance.

He let you drag him out of the house and into the forest, letting you go in front of him but also grabbing your hand slowly as to make sure you didn't get too excited and run off without him. He didn't want you to get lost like last time when you were too excited.

You stood proudly when you reached your destination and lifted your chin in appreciation to your efforts at making a cute picnic that had Mystogan dropping his jaw in surprise.

You felt even more happier at the sight and quickly dragged him to the carpet on the floor, opening the basket to take out freshly cut sandwiches and fruit slices.

"Y- You didn't have t-to do this for me (Y/N)..." He uttered in disbelief, slowly sitting down to acknowledge your work done just for the two of you. This began to feel a bit too intimate for Mystogan and he didn't know what to think since you were only his best friend- though he knew he always wanted more.

Remembering when you asked - or forced - him to be your Valentine and then drag him out here, it all seemed like you meant it all platonically and he didn't know whether to feel special or disappointed at the reason behind your efforts.

"Of course I did silly! It's Valentine's Day and you're my Valentine." You answered with glee, sitting on your bottom and leaning back on your arms as you basked in the cloudless, blue sky and the slight breeze that flowed through your messy hair.

"Yes.. It's Valentine's Day- the day of love, you didn't have to go to such lengths." He answered as he sat in his spot, his posture straight and tense. Your brows furrowed in slight discontent as he kept rejecting your work in a way.

"I know Mysto-Chan but I would do anything for the person I love. I planned this all for this day specifically." You answered in a tired voice. You were getting a tiny bit annoyed at his unhappy moods but you had to not let it get to you; today you were to confess- you just did actually.

".. (Y/N),  you don't mean it like th-"

"How do I mean it?" You interrupted with a tilt of your head. You were thoroughly confused and this man wasn't helping when you just wanted to kiss him right now. He stared at you without blinking and you only stared back, not wanting to break from his unwavering gaze as you watched his mouth open to speak.

"You mean it platonically (Y/N).. But I don't."

You beamed in happiness and your arms shot up in accomplishment, pouncing on him in a dash you straddled his legs as your arms wrapped around his neck tightly when he only watched with wide, puzzled eyes.

"Mysto-chan! I mean it like you do, I've been in love with you since we became friends!" You exclaimed through your laughter. The blue-haired man was frozen as his hands were clasped onto your hips while you let yourself get comfortable on his lap.

You giggled to yourself and let him comprehend what you just said as he visibly gulped and slowly leaned closer to you. You caught his movement and mirrored him while your hands tightened around his neck, fiddling with his soft hair as your noses touched, and then your lips met.

Cuddling with Mystogan, you ate the food prepared and made up for the time he was absent from you which meant lots of snuggling and kisses. And more kisses.

- Extended Ending -

You walked through the guild the next morning with Mystogan beside you. His arm was wrapped around your waist and as soon as you spotted Gray, you smirked evilly as Mystogan watched with worried eyes since he had no idea what was happening.

You roughly entwined your fingers with his, and he immediately accepted the action, almost falling over when you began dragging him to Gray who was already without clothes.

You stopped in front of the Ice wizard and glared, meeting his stare as he watched you with scared eyes at the sight of your intimidating stance, his mouth only fell open when he observed Mystogan right beside you. Holding your hand.

"What did you say yesterday baka? Something about me wishing?!"

You yelled as you waved your hand in Gray's face that was connected to your boyfriends.
Gray backed up in fear, not knowing what you were about to do but from one second to the next he was on the floor with a tennis ball-sized egg on his head and you simply smiled while sauntering away as everyone congratulated the new couple in Fairy Tail.
